One of the most busiest and biggest railway station in India. There are exactly 23 platforms are available in this station. The whole station is divided into two parts. One is Old platform station where platform No. 1-16 are available and another part is New platform station there platform No. 17-23 are available. Prepaid taxi stand, Online taxi (OLA, UBER, etc) stand, Online bike stand, Bus stand and Ferry Ghat are so close to this station. Metro connectivity is under construction, hopefully it will also in operation condition in coming years.

This is one of the largest station in India. The station architecture is old school as it dates back to the time of the Britishers. Astonishing building to be honest. The environment is full of hustle and bustle, with humongous crowd, which can sometimes irritate. The security was well maintained. And railway service was top notch. There is a large air-conditioned restroom which has an attached lavatory and bathroom. Clean and hygienic. One of the busiest railway station, situated right beside the famous Howrah bridge.

Probably the busiest and best railway station in eastern India. The station is divided into 2 parts- the old building from which most of the north bound trains leave and the newer building from which the south bound trains depart. There are ample shops and even restaurants and fast food chains like KFC.. There is prepaid taxi counter just outside the station.

Howrah is located on the western bank of the Hooghly River opposite its twin city of Kolkata. Howrah railway station, also known as Howrah Junction, is a railway station located in the city of Howrah, West Bengal, India. It is the oldest and largest existing railway complex in India. It is one of the busiest train stations in the world. It is used by over one million people every day for travel, business and even a home. The Howrah station building designed by British engineer Halsey Ricardo is an imposing Romanesque showpiece but it stands in no comparison to Mumbai's Victoria Terminus. It is still popularly known as the Howrah Bridge. The bridge is one of four on the Hooghly River and is a famous symbol of Kolkata and West Bengal. The other bridges are the Vidyasagar Setu (popularly called the Second Hooghly Bridge), the Vivekananda Setu and the relatively new Nivedita Setu

Howrah Junction station is incredibly well-connected and offers a wide variety of trains to different destinations. But the station is incredibly crowded and chaotic. Navigating the station was a bit overwhelming, especially as a first-time visitor. The signage could be improved and the staff could be more helpful. The platforms were very crowded and it was hard to find a place to sit. The station is also known for its frequent delays, which added to the stress of the experience. In terms of amenities, the station offered a decent selection of food and shopping options, but the prices were quite high. The washrooms were dirty and smelly. Overall, while Howrah Junction may be a necessary stop for many travelers, it is not the most pleasant of experiences. The station's convenience and connectivity are balanced out by its chaotic and overwhelming atmosphere. I would recommend travelers to be prepared for the crowds and delays and to plan accordingly.

One of the Railway stations with a heritage of old India. Reminds us about the heritage of Indian Culture and Also the history of the Colonial Rule in India. But as we moved forward hence the internal things changed and little modernised with Executive lounge and other food courts and brands etc but this was required as with time and environment the things has to be updated. Anyways I often come here and travel and love the place as it is hope this building stays as it is and the government doesn't change the building structure ever.. Thank You with love RB

Howrah has perhaps one of the busiest railway stations in India. The lines terminate at this junction and an array of premium, semi premium and mail trains depart from the station every day. In terms of facilities, they have got a nice parking space opposite the main entrance.
