So happy I booked my night before flying out here! The room is perfect, the location is perfect and many places to walk, and the food at the restaurant here was divine! Ray Wing fish was on the menu- if you get the chance try it and the scallops were the best I have EVER had. But most importantly the service here was superb. Molly and the other 2 ladies (I didn't get their names) were friendly and efficient and took great care of me. I will be back!

Another wet day in Howth & soaked to the skin, we were welcomed, earlier than our original booking. The staff are lovely, so friendly & efficient. Crab was not available due to earlier weather conditions but the prawns in garlic butter were perfect, juicy & bursting with flavour. Hake & chips went down a treat as did smoked salmon & brown. Everyone must try the rhubarb creme brûlée, yum! We rolled back to the Dart with happy tummies 😊

When I heard that this restaurant was a favourite of Anthony Bourdain, I knew it was somewhere that I wanted to go for my birthday while in Ireland. It was everything I could have hoped for. Amazing wait staff (thank you, Francesca!!!!) unbelievably fresh oysters, the garlic prawns were incredibly delicious, & the salted caramel brownie with chocolate sauce blew me away, especially when Francesca brought two other wait staff with her to sing Happy Birthday. Apparently the fish & chips was also delicious. The restaurant was much smaller than I had thought, but a great place in Howth, & well worth the visit. In fact, we’re going back tomorrow!

We had heard good reports regarding the food at King Sitric, so we thought it best to make a day of it. Howth itself is stunning. Staff are excellent, they are friendly and very helpful. We were simply walk ins. We were given a table without any hassle. Food Was beautiful. Well presented. So no complaints at all. In fact we have decided to return and stay at King Sitric for a few days. We are both looking forward to our return visit. Highly recommend a visit. If possible do book ahead. Terry.

We went to East, that's downstairs, for lunch. Food was delicious. Portions are maybe a bit on the small side (I had the chowder) but were tasty. Atmosphere is that of a great pub one. Lovely family place, just recently refurbished. Definitely recommend.

Loved my stay here. Spacious, comfortable rooms with a clear view of the harbour. Food is excellent, I had the salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast and it was some of the best salmon I’ve ever had. Service is very good indeed, everyone is on it and very friendly. Will definitely come back.

We stayed here for one night with our one year old daughter, and it was our nicest accomodations on our whole trip! The room was so cute, very well finished, stylish, and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for dinner, and had breakfast in the morning - food was great. I forgot to confirm that our payment had gone through until we were leaving, and the breakfast waitress helped get it sorted out before we left to catch our flight. Location was perfect to walk to a playground, and walk the piers too. Lovely stay, wish we'd stayed an extra night!

We were a little bit ahead of schedule due to the typical Irish weather (rain, windy, stop and then started rain again 🤣) ... Luckily we did have a reservation as it was very busy !! 📝 we ordered 🥣 Seafood chowder 🦞 Lobster - Dublin Lawyer 🦀 Crab Claws in garlic butter - large All of their seafood are freshly-caught !! It tastes fresh and tasty... the service and the view were excellent amazing as you can overlook the Howth Harbour while you are enjoying the seafood ! ⭐️ You definitely need to try the Crab Claws !! Overall @king_sitric is a MUST - TRY in Howth !!

My husband and I booked the Inn and reservation for dinner way back in February for our belated honeymoon. I’ve been following your posts and drooling over all of the photos since then. We finally got to experience it in person and could not have been more pleased. The Inn is clean and roomy with an amazing view of the water. We got the best seat in the house at the end of the bar, which was a great view of the restaurant! The food could not have been fresher. The waitress even brought us a live lobster to see how gorgeous they are. Everyone was super friendly. We will definitely come back to Howth and stay here again!

We had great expectations for the lobster, but there was barely any lobster in the lobster roll, just lettuce and mayo, and zero flavour. Other lobster dishes were not great either and portions were tiny. We were charged €7.5 service charge for a table of two which makes no sense. I wouldn't recommend, there are much better seafood restaurants in Howth.

I had pre-booked here a few weeks ago, advising the guys that I would be proposing to my partner just before visiting. I asked if we could have some bubbles waiting. The team emailed back and advised they would have a bottle on ice waiting and wished me well in my proposal. Thankfully, my girlfriend said yes, and we visited full of smiles. We were welcomed with congratulations, smiles, friendly conversation and it felt like we had know them for years. I initially booked King Sitric after my girlfriend, who loves seafood, told me she loved the sound of the menu. I, myself, am not a seafood fan, however saw there was still non seafood options. Partner has crab claws to start, and lobster roll with a side of chips. I had chicken wings to start and burger for main. The portions were very generous, especially the wings. Staff were very attentive, advising of the craft beer available, and advised they were able to make a cocktail for my partner that isn't usually on the menu. When the bill came, they congratulated us again and advised that discounted the menu to pay for a drink for us each. Every single person we spoke to congratulated us, asked to see the ring and made us for special. I cannot tell you all how special this made the day. Howth is now a very important place for us, and we will certainly be back to King Sitric to visit again

Excellent seafood dishes and great service. We went there with a buggy at lunch time during the week and the staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The place is very characteristic, classic sea side restaurant. The atmosphere is quite and relaxed. Food high quality and fresh. Loved the tempura prawns. Only downside I found was the chowder with very little fish pieces inside but the taste was good.

Pros: Super tasty medium-hot dip for calamari. Nice, polite staff. Sheltered benches, quite good protection against hungry sea birds. Cons: Different price calamari in menu and on the bill Extra charge starting from 6 people. Haddock smoky big portion very small. Extremely long times waiting for menu and then for getting ordered food. We have seen only 2 waitresses flying and doing their best but it's short number of staff for such a number of tables/guests, should be predicted for Sunday evening by manager.

Booked in for a birthday meal and can’t say it disappointed! Thought lobster was pricey for the meat you got but couldn’t fault it! Calamari was cold however and didn’t enjoy. Starters were delish and kept ordering side of brown bread. Desserts also nice! Wish they had sweet alcohol here.

On arrival the restaurant look lovely. The staff were very friendly. As we didn't have a booking they were very accommodation. It was 18.15 we were asked if we could be finished for 20.00. We said absolutely no problem at all. We weren't very hungry so we went for a main dish each. The wine list was packed with choice and was very nice I must add. Our meal came out. The burger was placed in the middle of the plate with a basket of chips. No garnish not a green leaf to be see. The presentation was awful. The bun was soggy from the pickles. The crab dish wasn't much better. Again placed on a small plate with 2 pieces of brown bread and one butter. The taste was lovely but I'd expect a lot more for €20. No presentation at all. Spent the whole time pushing fruit flys and your common house fly away from us. Even had the company of a spider walking back and forth checking his Web for food. At 19.15 we were told they need the table back in 15 minutes. We finished our coffee and wine. What happened to 20.00. It can't take 30 minutes to wipe down a table place 4 white napkins and four knives and forks. Won't be returning any time soon.

We came to this place on recommendation and not loose - Francesca, our waiter, was extremely polite, helpful and nice: we booked a table, had a nice walk around the pier, and reverted to have crabs and lobster- dishes were fantastic, fresh and well prepared! We had our hands in lobster’s souse and that’s why didn’t make any photo😊. This place is much recommended and we’ll back again on occasion.

It's a must do in Howth. Great service and great food. They let us book a reservation an hour in advance while we walked up the cliffs. The food was amazing and the service friendly and welcoming, they explained how the seafood varies depending on the accessibility of the local fishermen getting to the right spots. The crab claws and the fish and chips were both fresh and amazing.

Nice place and friendly stuff. Fresh food and well prepared. You really need to try the prawns tempura, surely the best I ever had in years! Lobster and chips perfectly cooked and amazingly fresh and tasty. I'll be surely back

We had lunch here. The staff are fantastic, the location is beautiful and our table had great views. The scampi was a good portion size, well cooked and delicious, the goats cheese salad was not very good, it was bland and consisted mostly of greens and was very expensive, the brill was good but the portion of fish, potatoes and courgettes was very small for the price. All in all we enjoyed ourselves.

The seafood is incredible! The location is great- right on the water! Our lunch at King Sitric was a highlight in our trip to Ireland! We loved the outdoor seating with heaters and blankets

Food and wine both excellent. Staff very friendly. Crab claws and smokies for him, tempura prawns and mussels for her. Washed down with a beautiful Chablis. What a way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch. Highly recommended.

Our pleasant visit to the King Sitric was up to the usual standards. Unfortunately that after 50 years the King Sitric Restaurant are to close their doors in the New Year, a victim of the times we now live in. We understand that they have plans to extend the existing accommodation. We wish them well for the future but so sad.

A cracking hospitality place. Compact but far from stifling. Attractive location. Cosy restaurant and bar. Good quality breakfast. Very friendly staff. Good value for money.

We stayed for two nights in a spacious, sea view double room with a comfy bed, good WiFi and a modern bathroom with a great walk in shower. Breakfast was fabulous and we particularly enjoyed the home made bread and full Irish breakfast. During our stay we had two great dinners and one lunch at the King Sitric. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We enjoyed the informal, friendly atmosphere. Would love to come back.

Great seafood restaurant. Everything is as fresh as it can be and the service is so fast! Among oyster, Dublin bay prawns, mussels and butter lobster order, we loved the oysters and the prawns the most. Mussels and lobster were also good but they needed the extra touch of salt and few drops of lemon on the table for the perfect balance. Definitely worth for another visit to try other things on the menu.

My wife and I booked a night here on our return trip from Galway before departing from Dublin Airport to head back to the US, and boy do I really really REALLY regret not booking more than one night. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, both the dinner and the breakfast were INCREDIBLE (especially the brown bread and the grilled fish), and the views of the sea and Howth Harbor were some of the most beautiful of our entire trip. We even booked a ride with James to chauffeur us to the airport, and he was absolutely lovely to talk with on our way. Thank you all for making the last day of our trip so memorable - we will be back very soon!

We had the most magical time at King Sitric. From the very first day, the entire staff was so kind and accommodating for our family, going above and beyond to ensure every detail of our trip was awesome. The breakfast is top notch, the beds are super comfortable. Cant say enough good things about this lovely little place. Thank you so much to all the staff!!

The good thing: the waitress was quite friendly. But the food was expensive for what the restaurant offered. We ordered fish and chips, fish burger and another plate, but no one was in a good presentation and the fish burger was full of oil. One of the staffs was rude when we went to pay. I said to him I wanted to pay for two plates and two beers and my friend would pay the other plate and beer and he simply gave us the receipt and asked us to calculate the amount we wanted to pay. Definitely I don't recommend.

I would not say customer service was bad and I would not say I was ignored. Rather I would say customer service was non existent and the staff made a point of making it clear they had no intention of visiting my table with direct eye contact followed by walking away. Very odd business practice but after 20 minutes or so I took a hint. Good luck with your business model.

We had a lovely evening/meal this evening in East. Staff very nice. Only downside was we were charged for tap water!?
