A very small airport used for regional flights and the odd Ryanair. This meant that security and passport control were very quick. Note that the duty free shop closes at 22:00 and this is the only place to get anything as the restaurant closes early so you are very limited for choice here. I would fly through here again.

Clean and convenient. Friendly staff. But super provincial - connections are much better from Prague airport. It seems that there are only connections to Lufthansa hubs in Frankfurt and Munich and charters. and this is for the capital of Saxony... Despite the low volume of passengers, processes are super optimised. You need to get a boarding pass from a machine before processing to the counter - although there are two open counters for 1 (in word one) travelling parties.

Small, regional airport used mainly for charter flights to typical holiday destinations and few connections to big hubs. It's clean and modern, there is one duty free, bistro plus coffee and water vendors. Dresden airport has big parking house.

Worst airport I have ever experienced! "All liquids must be inside a single 1 litre zipper", says the dump security because 'that's the protocol'. They open the bags of all the passengers who carry anything in larger zipper bags, ransack passengers' personal belongings with their filthy hands and force them to buy 1 litre zipper bags from the counter. That's not all. All liquids must be squeezed inside a single one litre zipper, doesn't matter whether there is enough space for it since "using more that 1 zipper per person is not allowed". How is this airport even allowed to operate with these idiots?

Worst airport experience ever. Not even exaggerating. We sent the following e-mail to the customer service, informing them about the terrible state of affairs of the airport. Dear sir, madam, I am sorry to say that I have never seen such abysmal service at an airport during daytime. We are currently waiting for our 16:50 flight to Amsterdam. Our experience has been terrible so far. We arrived some 2 hours in advance and were met with an unmanned security gate, with no information whatsoever where to go or where to wait. After some time spent in confusion, one staff member of security arrived and told us the security gate will open soon. After waiting in front of the gates, in view of said staff member, without informing us the gate apparently opens up. We were waiting for 5 minutes in front of him, and had to find out by another passenger passing by that apparently the gate was now open. We asked about food or drink options behind the security desk, and were told there is some ‘kleine Gastronomie’ available. After passing security we find out that all shops (save one) are closed, and the one (!) place that could/should serve coffee or food appears to be closed as well. Staff seems to be around and ‘back in a moment’ but they never showed up. We are thus forced to wait 2 hours during lunchtime nonetheless (!) without any option to acquire some proper food or drinks. All we are left with is some food dispensing machines with abysmal snacks. Why on earth would the official website of Dresden airport advice to arrive 2,5(!) hours in advance and then offer NO options whatsoever to ear or drink somewhere in the airport. We have never experienced such a terrible service at any airport. Not during daytime, and not even during nighttime in all honesty. We hope this is not the regular state of affairs at Dresden airport and this was due to other unforeseen circumstances. If we ever return we hope to experience a vibrant or at the very least hospitable airport service. Kind regards, Stef Hoeijmakers

Nice and clean. Easy to walk by, don’t be there very early because it is simple to get by.

Nice small quiet Airport, virtually no waiting to go through security. Once through there are a few shops for food/drink that are very reasonably priced. The train station is easily accessible and trains are quite regular.

I'm sorry but the rule to transport fluids ONLY in a plastic bag that you need to purchase for 50 cents and otherwise you cannot transport liquids is utterly stupid. In my opinion, this goes against all the European policies to reduce use of plastic. Obliging people to use plastic bags that won't even be used for a minute is very disrespectful towards nature. On top if it, the staff was very rude and did not speak any English at all. I think that in the airport all staff should be educated enough to help international travellers out. This is one of the worst experiences in the airport ever.

Smaller airport, simple routes and customer friendly. Strange to find suitcases opened and lock removed but not returned. For the rest i appreciated this airport. Coffee is ok.

So good. I was going to Antalya with SXS in 18 November, it was amazing and the staff was very kind. But passport control took like 30min because the staff was very new and i broke a star because of this. But its very good, underrated

I like the smaller airports. Faster security and check ins. But it lacks any provisions in the main drop off. There are no shops or restaurants for you to enjoy with people who accompany you to the airport non-passengers. So goodbyes can be very uncomfortable.

I thought it was a pretty cool airport when I arrived. That was until departure. All was super quick because the airport is tiny, but there is no food anywhere. No restaurant, no café. There is one sad little vending machine with chocolate and crisps. Duty free has some snacks but that is it. The second shop was closed. Ridiculous.

Peaceful and clean with few people at all times. Faster service but you will have to remove all electronics and liquids before or during security check.

I had to wait for 4 hours on a Sunday evening for a suitcase to arrive on the next flight. The lady in the luggage handling office could not have been more helpful - she did a wonderful job - but the airport had absolutely no hospitality services available apart from a vending machine that would not even deliver water. Luckily at least the toilets were open…

After spending a day in a layover in Dresden which was pleasantly nice. Time to go home the Staff were all rude and miserable I’d come through Antalya airport fine they don’t even tell you to take liquids out. Went to get a liquid bag as I couldn’t see any the woman bit my head of saying it’s for us not you meaning get your own or something mumbling something in German very nasty then she said my suncream bottle was big even though the same bottle went through about 4 different airports no problem, then she checked my tiny hold bag trying to find something, so I asked her what’s in there she goes explosive check, I thought my god just because I’m Asian & all the other white passengers got friendly smiles. Never again there was about 10 of them just standing there doing absolutely nothing for such a tiny airport don’t usually review airports but this one needed a mention.

Small international airport. Comfortable connection by rail, 20min by S train every half hour (2.70EUR). Minus: no water fountains, 0.5 lt water 2.50 EUR. Toilets could be better ventilated.
