From the outside, it won’t look much but as we enter inside it was a different atmosphere. The finger food we ordered was amazing and bartender was one of the coolest I have ever met. The most unique bar experience I had with remarkable drinks and cocktails. The staff were great and made our time more fun. If you are a Tiki culture lover this is an excellent place to visit in Ottawa. I strongly recommend to anyone who’s looking for some fun time or new in town to visit this extraordinary place

Truly excellent drinks. The "Cobra Fang" is particularly good. Nice little bar. The name and vibe are ..... complicated. While titled "Tiki Bar" and sure, it's got a nautical theme and sorta a pirate bar vibe there are like 50+ masks on the wall.... I can only clock 1 actual Tiki Mask... most of the decor is African and Mayan. I dont want to undercut the drinks; they really are very delicious, but looking around the decor I'm slightly worried its low key racist...not by design. But yeah, a little problematic while being cozy and stellar otherwise. 7/10 would be a 9/10 if either there were more polynesian mask OR more scifi masks so it was more of a Neo-transidentalist bar / Star Wars bar.

to the best tiki bar in town!! the ambience, food and drinks!!! Highly recommend the peri fries and Pina goes Banana drink! Also the bartender is super friendly- And will make you drinks according to your choice. Try them out.

If you haven't been here yet, you're truly missing out. I can't decide what I loved the most- the mouth-watering food, the POTENT cocktails, or the dope ambience. And by dope, I mean there's a drink that's served in a bong. We stumbled upon this place accidentally and thank goodness we did because this has become our new date night spot. Keep up the great work, guys!

Loved the atmosphere and vibe of this stellar Tiki bar. The owners obviously put a lot of thought, care and money into designing this spooky vibe-ing lounge. Only thing we'd love to see to make this a truly authentic experience would be to have more Tiki/jungle vibe music. Wasn't a big fan of the contemporary pop playing in the background with such a unique space. Drinks were well crafted and fun ...just hope they keep adding more variety to the menu (both flavour profiles and price-wise) to keep us coming back. Owner was also very pleasant and spent time chatting and thanking us for swinging by. Go check it out!!

Pod Tiki Bar is a welcome addition to Ottawa! The staff was incredibly friendly and provided great recommendations as well as a show! The cocktails were delicious and well balanced. Would recommend stopping in for a drink or two! We will be back!

We dropped in here during what looks like early days, and I love the potential of the place. The feel of the Poa is really on point, mixing elements of kitch with a fun playlist and interesting decor. The cocktails earned our five stars, with some classics, and some change ups on offer. The genuine enthusiasm and the presentation from the bartender showed that he really cares about what he's doing. The food menu had a few 86s, and they could go lighter on the spices on the shrimp balls to let the base flavour come through, but that's nitpicking. We'd happily come back here and wish them the best.

This is a fantastic little tiki bar in Downtown Ottawa! We visited a few months ago not long after they opened. Only planned to stay for an hour or two, but instead stayed more like 4 hours! The owners were running around serving drinks and we got to chat tiki! (I visit a lot of tiki bars!). Between my friends and I we tried everything on the menu! We made a new friend at the bar and got a few flaming shots as well! Check it out it’s a great spot!

Okay, now my favourite bar in ottawa for good times and awesome drinks. Had a great time here the other night. I haven't yet tried the food but plan to when I go back, and I will be back. The atmosphere is great and the staff amazing and very personable. Very unique experience for the local area. But the drinks..., the drinks! Amazing presentation and very good as well. This is a place I plan to return to in the near future. Highly recommended

Neat little spot! Fun decor inside, interesting and delicious drinks, and the food is phenomenal! The seasoning on everything is so strong and delicious! The music is also funky and wavy, so we had a great time overall.

I recently visited Pao tiki bar in Bay Ward Market and had an incredible experience! The owner was so welcoming and friendly. The drinks and food options were amazing, especially the fries and spicy peppers - they were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot! The atmosphere of the bar was also great, with a fun tiki theme and cozy seating areas. I loved the tropical vibes and it felt like a little escape from the city. Overall, I would highly recommend Pao tiki bar to anyone looking for a fun night out in Ottawa. The owner is awesome, the food and drinks are top-notch, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Our first visit and man are we excited about this discovery. What a needed and fun addition to the byward market. I tried “Alfie’s grog”, such a perfectly balanced drink with an amazing cinnamon after taste. Every drink that comes out of this bar is an experience of its own, flames, smoke, sparks, fruits, leaves. And the music is amazing. The owners are passionate about their business and it shows. Can’t wait to bring everyone I know to this place!

This was such a fun place to get over the top drinks! Went on a Tuesday evening so it was pretty quiet. Pleasantly surprised by the creativity behind the drinks and how tasty they were. Great place with friends or after dinner!

Had a blast for our birthdays! Great drinks, very delicious and creative. DJ really brought in the ambiance! Really recommend making a reservation if you are a larger group.

Visited this place with TuesdayClub613, and it was an absolute blast. The drinks, food and decor were all on point, and they brought in a DJ who blew the roof off the place. Highly recommend giving this spot a visit!

Got to try POA tiki bar for a private event and it was great service and atmosphere. The shrimp balls were delicious and the sauce it came with had just the perfect amount of spice. I loved their cups and the creativity when it came to drinks. The only thing holding me from 5 star is that the cocktails are a bit pricey however they have regular bar rail and beers as well if you don’t wanna spend much or have cocktails .

Excellent experience. Opened a bit late tonight for valid reasons. Owner was very attentive and made sure our drinks were correct and was incredibly appreciative of us waiting til they were ready. Drinks were excellent. Food was a touch on the spicy side. Shooter was delicious some cheesecake creme brulee cherry thing on fire.
