Had 2 gin slings. Gin and tonic and a bottle of amstel. £19.20. They have 70 gins and 70 rums. Run of the mill pub on our circuit. Just go to try the different gins. On this occasion the barman had a dig to the barmaid about our order. So I asked him what he was talking about and he said nothing. He is always grumpy...so don't expect any change from him.

Lots of spirits and beers on tap but the soft drinks are watered down to within an inch of their lives and the atmosphere is dead!! I couldn't honestly recommended.. The only positive I can draw is they do stock a large selection of spirits to try.. Just make sure your mixer is from a bottle and not from a tap!!

Four out of five beers we tasted were off. Upstairs for wc. But good album covers on walls. Music too quite on tiny screen. Wont be going back

The scale and feather bar (formally Walters bar) on scale Lane is comfortable stylish bar. It's decorated with some fantastic classic rock albums on the walls, there are nice comfortable booths like an American bar, and an outside courtyard seating area. It's not a pub it doesn't have bar games like pool or darts, but it is a real ale lovers Paradise. It has a great range of cask conditioned hand pulled ales, and some very nice ciders. It's a nice cosy place with friendly welcoming staff. Called in for the trinity Festival, There were six live acts on will be back for the next one in January. Highly recommended.

One of the best bars in the town centre for cask, keg, lagers and ciders and always our starting point on a night out. Sometimes we even move on somewhere else!! Give it a try, you won't be dismayed.

A fantastic Old Town pub in the heart of Hull. There is always a good selection of quality beers and ciders and a large range of spirits. The handmade pizzas are excellent and the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful!

We live in old town and walked past this, little gem so many times. The staff are friendly as fu*k, the cocktails are banging and the decor is aesthetic. What more could you want!?

Excellent choice of cask beers, including lesser known and local ones. Huge amount of spirits etc. too. Pity that there are no food options for lunchtimes or early evenings but it does not detract greatly from a small local pub with a good atmosphere, middle of the road music at a sensible level for conversation and pleasant staff for a quiet drink.

This is an underrated pub that should definitely attract more people. I can't believe we were the only people in there on a Friday night. It's a cool lounge-like bar with plenty of ales on sale and friendly bar staff.

Great pub, great staff, great service, plenty of laughs, very friendly.. ask Alex to tell the Gordon the turkey story.. I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen the photos with my own eyes. Friendly clientele, very clean and worth a visit in my book..

Great place to sample some good ales and ciders. Hot mulled wine available in the colder months too. Long bar area with plenty of seats further inside. Very cheerful and friendly bar staff who are very willing to explain the drinks available. Well worth a visit.

Gone far downhill this year. Selection of ales has decreased, and ciders are non-existant. Service was mixed. Bouncer rude, barred door partially even after seeing ID. Bar staff ID during second round. All in all, an unpleasant experience.

The best range of hand-pulled ales available in Hull, (and draught 'real' cider too.) This pub, situated just down Scale Lane on the walk down to High Street has been repeatedly voted pub of the year in the area, and for good reason. It gets quite busy at weekends in the evening, but the staff are always ready and willing to help.

Ive been quite a few times and the beers great, the service is good and the atmosphere is good too but I've just tried to go in with my daughter whos 9 weeks old and I was told 'We don't allow under 16s in here' fair enoigh rules are rules but she was fast asleep, in a pram and I just wanted a beer after a long week she wasnt going to be screaming, running about and annoying everyone. It wad a bit humiliating having the people in there watch me try to reason with the barmaid and then have to leave.
