I was super excited for my first time visiting Copper Branch and I was blown away by all the choices, however I was left feeling super disappointed. I went with two friends to grab take out and we were the only ones there, but it took about 15 minutes to get our food. I ordered a mini bowl with tofu and a large fry to share, but after waiting ten minutes they told me they dropped my tofu on the ground and asked me to choose another protein, I understand mistakes happen, but I don't understand why they couldn't just heat up more tofu? After 15 minutes my bowl was ready, but I had to inform them that I ordered fries too and they were confused, and ended up giving me fries that were sitting out on the counter waiting for an uber/skip order. When I opened them, they were super soggy and didn't have any ketchup, so I asked if I could have ketchup and they told me I didn't order any ketchup- but I just assumed it was included? When my friend overheard this she asked them if they included ketchup in her fries, since she got a burger combo, and they said yes. However when we got to the park and unpacked our food, there was no ketchup to eat with her soggy fries. Also, my other friend opened her bowl and unfortunately was not given her dressing, so she had to eat plain veggies and rice. I rarely leave reviews, but this was just a really disappointing experience. I can't believe I spent $9 on a large box of soggy fries that tasted both undercooked and burnt at the same time... Sad.

I work in the Justice building just Minutes away from Copper Branch. I have been slowly but surely making my way through their entire menu. It started with the all day breakfast sandwich and my most recent try was the limited edition vegetable coco-masala. Every time I think surely I have eaten their best item, I am once again surmounted the next time I eat here. The staff is excellent, part of the reason the food is good, is because they genuinely care about working there. Copper Branch is an innovator in the plant-based food space. Sometimes I get down on the world, but when I walk through these doors I am reminded of the future that we are moving towards. I am just glad that the menu is robust, so I can keep trying new items for months to come.

Such a cool vegan chain! They were very good at being clear with gluten free options too. I was a tad disappointed because they had run out of poutine and the collard green wraps, but I had the mini Aristotle bowl with carrot keftedes and it was pretty good! For the price I would have liked a slightly larger portion, but overall happy with the restaurant concept.

Top notch. Everything I've ordered at this Copper Branch is reliably delicious, and the ingredients are way above average healthy. Lots of veggies, whole grains, no frying. My favourite is the General Copper bowl with the killer vegan meat. The smoothies are legit too. No sugars or syrups. And you can disregard the few bogus reviews claiming staff are rude. They're always nice here. I particularly like Gaetana and Michael. But they're all awesome. A+

May 2022 Super friendly staff. Our burgers were excellent. The Copper burger deluxe was very tasty, and so was the Galaxy burger (although it could have used a bit more mushrooms). Will return to try more items! Ps. limited parking space on Albert st. with a lot of construction.

I've had the Copper Branch in Barrhaven before and it was a nice change of pace, so decided to try this location as well. It's awkward to access as their exterior door is blocked for construction. Our online order wasn't ready by the pickup time, and the portions/quality of the food is underwhelming for the price. I think if you're going to get a bowl, there's several more affordable and tasty options around than this.

October 4th, Google said they were open but it's a lie..... they are still under construction, we wasted most of our lunch hour walking there just to be disappointed.

I like Copper Branch in general, and this location is no exception. The menu is extensive with so many options for everything you may feel like eating - wraps, sandwiches, soups, bowls, smoothies, numerous desserts, etc. The cheesecake was the best I ever tried! The staff are incredible. They are all friendly and very helpful, definitely above average. Kudos to the management for picking the right people. Staff are the ones who make a big difference. Given the amount of competition the food alone will not keep customers coming back. I really enjoyed coming to this location while on travel in Ottawa. I highly recommend it. Just wish they opened earlier. In Montreal all CB open at 8am.

My first time trying Copper Branch for lunch and was rather disappointed. As mentioned by another reviewer, fries were inedible. They were hard, chewy, dry.... I also ordered the Asian Fusion power bowl with brown rice and mushroom as my protein. Instead of mushroom, the kitchen substituted with seitan. Seitan was not listed as a protein option! Secondly, my bowl had a huge amount of bruschetta which I did not request as an add-on. It was very odd having Italian seasoning in my Asian fusion bowl. Despite all that, the bowl serving was very generous and otherwise good.

This is my second failed experience here. 1st time my order was done wrong 3 times then I asked for a refund. As I work in the building I thought I'd give a second chance. This time... HOPE! they were not crazy busy. Was excited to eat my sandwich until I opened it. This is not the quality of product I expect. Disappointed!

Love copper branch! Everything on the menu is amazing (brownie is a must!). Please hire more people tho! It is a very very long wait during lunch time.

I'll start by saying the food is great. Described as 'fast-casual' but service on my two visits has been anything but fast. Once at lunch, shortly after 1 pm and also once after 6 pm when I waited 15 minutes for my copper deluxe burger. There were only two kind employees who appeared to be struggling to keep up with orders for pickup and in-house. If you have patience, give it a shot as the food is enjoyable. If you're in a rush...

They are closed but keep “open” on skip the dishes so you waste your money ordering thinking it’ll be open until the driver shows up and it’s closed. Little messed up. Should be taken off those delivery sites. Takes 5 days to get money back to. Thanks a lot

Great vegan food served fresh and fast.

I want to like this place but honestly, cut down the salt A LOT and know that not everything has to be spicy. More subtle flavours would go a long way, as would meat substitutes that are not over-fried.

First time to go at this location in Barrhaven. It certainly won't be my last. My friends and I went to this location to check it out and it did not disappoint. I was a house guest and my friend lives in Barrhaven. I would like to try another location nearer to where I work, perhaps. I really like their burger and butternut squash soup.

Terrible experience. My food was not ready on time so while I was waiting, the woman making my food told me to move back in a very rude way even though we were two metres apart and my mask was on properly. Her colleague had his mask half on as it was under his nose (ie with his nose uncovered). I moved back and noted that I found it strange that she wanted me at such a distance but didn’t ask her colleague to wear his mask properly and cover his nose since he is making everyone’s food and was super close to her. Both of them then became extremely rude with me and started telling me off and wouldn’t stop. She then threw my food in the bag and slammed my food on the counter and when I asked her if she put cutlery in there, she said to open the bag and figure it out. I asked again and got the same response. I said I don’t want to open the bag to let the heat out, I have to walk with my food, I’d rather the bag stay closed and I don’t think you put cutlery in there. Can you please put some cutlery in the bag? She said — that’s better — and shoved two forks in my hand. It was so very rude. I needed three but that point, I just wanted to get out of there so I took it and left. My food came out very bad — I had ordered food for my family. Firstly, I ordered the keto bowl. The bowl came absolutely dry, without any sauce whatsoever. There was no sauce in the bag either. I couldn’t eat it. It had no taste and flavour and was dry. I am pregnant and was left hungry with no lunch. The second thing I had ordered was the quesadilla for my daughter. Online, when I ordered, it said that it would come with broccoli and carrots and fries but all she gave me were the fries. On top of that, there was no ketchup and I have always gotten ketchup with my fries before. My daughter doesn’t eat fries without ketchup so that was a waste. My husband ate it. But it was dry too and he didn’t enjoy it. My husband got the teriyaki burger with coleslaw. That’s the only order that came out seemingly right. Our lunch was terrible and inedible. We wasted $50 and went hungry and had an extremely stressful experience. Also, the man making food was not masked, which is illegal, I think. At the very least, I’d like my money back and for them to train their staff to not be abusive and wear their masks properly before the bawl anyone else out who was following the rules just fine. I’ll never go back to this, or any other, Copper Branch. I do not recommend this location. I have serious concerns about an institution that doesn’t teach their staff to wear masks when dealing with food, basic customer service/politeness, and food that came out totally wrong and inedible. It’s not cheap either. You expect something of quality.

I am never disappointed by their menu. I have been vegan and gf for many years and really look forward to any opportunity I get to eat at Copper Branch. They have the old favourites (poutine) and new menu choices to keep it interesting even for my husband who has no food restrictions.

Ignored customer at counter. Almost forced sell on a bread although I made it clear I just wanted a soup. Included in the refund were 6 dimes while I could’ve gotten 2 quarters. Waited for 10+ minutes which totally defeated the purpose of grabbing something quick on a hectic day. Not personal against any employees. This places is obviously understaffed, so won’t be visiting any time soon just to make everyone’s life easier :)

If you are looking for the best vegan food in your life, you found the right place. My goal is to try with my boyfriend all the items on the menu. It is insane.

Ordered 5 bowls for delivery for a work event. Only 3 bowls showed up. Called the restaurant twice for a refund but both times the rep didn't have authority to initiate the refund and said her supervisor would call me back. It's been over a month and I still haven't received a refund or a call back. Not acceptable. UPDATE: After posting this review, I was contacted for a refund.

Great place✨ I usually go to the Barrhaven location so I was worried that this location might make my usual Copper Deluxe Burger and Chico salad differently. However, they made it absolutely wonderful, and they were kind enough to give my friend and I a free cookie 💕 Will definitely stop by again🤗

New menu is awesome. I was suprised by how filling the tacos were. I ordered a side of fries but could barely eat 2. I was too full. However i did go for the brownie and omg was it heavenly. Good stuff

The food isn’t bad but the prices are high. Most recently, I ordered the maple tempeh sandwich and fries. The sandwich was good but the fries were completely burnt (every single fry was black) and didn’t come with any ketchup or sauce of any kind. My receipt said “No sauce”. However, I ordered off Ritual and there was no option to add a sauce.

Loved this vegetarian “fast-food” option. They have a great selection with burgers, wraps, salads, and all day breakfast! The staff are very knowledgeable and patient. The wrap was a bit small for $10, but still good. I’d like to go back to try some more items!

I love the food but please PLEASE bring back your balsamic dressing for your salad. The yellow dressing is not great!!

We've used Copper Branch's catering services a few times now for work training and people really enjoy this plant-based food even though it's not something they would typically eat! Everything is colourful and tasty. The Key-Lime 'cheesecake' is delicious! The staff at CB is friendly and helpful. thanks

Every single time I order from this place (which has been at least 10 times), the fries are ALWAYS 80% burnt to the point that its unedible. I honestly have no idea how they can look at those fries as they are placing them in the box and think they are ok to sell to people. Anyway I'm giving 3 stars because the burgers and smoothies are always good But they really need to work on NOT burning those damn fries

Today was my first time ordering Copper Branch on Uber eats and wow am I ever impressed! I’ve been vegan for over 5 years so I’ve tried my fair share of vegan restaurants and I will definitely be ordering from here again! I got the Shiitake burger which was amazing, the bun was well toasted and the teriyaki sauce paired with the slaw and mushroom patty was so good! I also ordered the Chilli Poutine, the chilli itself was amazing but the only reason I’m giving them four stars instead of five is because half of the fries we’re pretty burnt. But they do use a really good vegan cheese for their poutine. I can’t wait to order from here again!

The burger and wrap we ordered were phenomenal. Definitely recommend those, 5/5 stars. The chili poutine that we ordered, however, was incredibly disappointing, 0/5 stars. It was only semi edible, because more than half of the fries were either fully burnt or half burnt (half of the potatoes were completely black, dry pieces). If youre going to order from here, the burgers and wraps are great, but maybe don't bother with poutine because it was disappointing and dreadful.

All plant based. Love this place! I really enjoyed their cauliflower crust flatbreads, spicy buffalo wings, coleslaw and fries! Their coffee was not great and very watery both times I had it, but I'm still excited to try everything else here. You can also get a discount with a VegOttawa membership.
