Great place to try some Yemeni food. Loved the décor, friendly staff and the cuisine was really good. We fell in love with the tea ( milk tea with sugar candy 😊). The liver and egg plates with the taanr bread was superb. Enough for 2 people to eat. Restaurant was getting ready to close and we wanted to have another round of tea. The staff didn’t disappoint and we sincerely appreciated him accommodating us. Certainly will go back again.

Really good Yemeni food, Liver , shakshookah, Adani tea, all were very delicious and tasty , with very reasonable prices, the waiter was very friendly and helpful. I advise everyone wants to try delicious Arabic food to go there for Breakfast, did not try other options they have. Hopefully I come one day to Ottawa and visit again. Thank you for your service and food.

Super excellent place for tea, coffee and all day breakfast. I liked the atmosphere and the internal decoration were excellent. The menu is rich of authentic Yemeni cuisine, they especially serve the famous Yemeni tea; Adani tea or Karak. They do have outside seats as well. Highly recommend

Such an amazing experience! I went there with a group of friends and we all experienced exceptional customer service. It’s a small family business so the owner kept personally checking on us making sure that we had everything we needed. The staff was extremely friendly. Food was very tasty. We ordered the bread with eggs and cheese, shakshoka, foul and their famous white tea. It was all absolutely delicious. I totally recommend this place as it will make you feel at home. Will be visiting again very soon.

What a wonderful surprise! I was looking for something simple and stumbled upon this delightful Cafe. The decor is a funky blend of nostalgia and Middle Eastern and the menu offers a variety of options. I sampled the liver amd, while infinitely better than what mom made, I'm still biased against liver. I ended up with a Philly cheese steak sandwich, and, at the proprietor's recommendation, the chai adani tea (karak), lightly sweetened with a saffron rock sugar swizzle. The sandwich was amazing, the tea was warm and delightful, and the proprietor was friendly and generous... he even shared with me some khameer his wife had made. That was great, too! Thank you for a wonderful meal.

If you're looking for a quiet cozy coffee shop where you can get some delicious traditional Yemeni breakfast, this is the spot. They also have some great crepe desserts. We tried a couple of them but my favourite was the cinnamon nuttela. I especially like the jalsa where you can kick your shoes off and sit down with 2-3 friends and just lounge. Great chai Adani with good company, this place is the spot to go.

This is one of the most authentic Middle eastern places I have visited: The atmosphere is incredible; it is an authentic Middle Eastern vibe. The decoration and the songs interact with each other and bring back memories from back home. The drinks and food are amazing. It can satisfy all tastes with generous serving portions. Highly recommended place to visit if you are in Ottawa

I had my first visit to the 3Cents resto and cafe today. Walking in, I didn't know what kind of food they served. I was welcomed in, given the best service I have ever had in a restaurant and tried the Foul Haradah Platter. It was served in 7 minutes, was piping hot and was served with tannor-bread. It's was great. The server came by my table and offered me a traditonal drink, which I would not have selected on my own but tried it anyway. I've posted a photo because I don't know what it is called, but the drink was fantastic. Trying Yemeni cuisine for the first time at 3cents was amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

This was my first time here. The place is so nice, warm and so culturally friendly, while they have a variety of platter and wraps to try. I ordered the egg platter and I felt I was back in the Middle East again enjoying a great morning breakfast. The lady was very generous giving me a water bottle when I asked for some cold water. Would come back here again.

Kept driving past this place for over a year now. Finally stopped by and have been a regular customers ever since. The liver platter is amazing and a great start to the day. Their signature tea is also very good. Great customer service and very clean and tidy environment. Highly recommend this to anyone.

A fantastic chai spot that serves up authentic Yemeni-style tea. The food options are also great and their late hours (until 11pm or 12am) and even later during Ramadan months is a great late night option for beverage seekers. I'd recommend their beef liver or qawerma sandwich, which are popular local choices.

Very calm, clean, welcoming atmosphere. And I’m picky about those things. The place was very classy and light. The owner is one of the most hospitable people I’ve met. The food was authentic and just done perfect. Highly recommend.

Today we were asked to leave because we went over the “45 minute time limit” after purchasing our tea. A very interesting, unadvertised, policy. Contrasted by the fact that they provide a chess board and other pass times in the cafe. We spent a total of 63 minutes in the store, and do not intend on spending anymore time there again.

This was my first time visiting this Yemeni restaurant and I was not disappointed! The decor is tasteful and elegant, making it an amazing place to dine. The food we ordered was extremely delicious and the portions were generous. Kudos to the chef! The staff at this restaurant are friendly and the drinks are great, but unfortunately the specialty coffee machine was broken during my visit. We had to settle for other beverages, but their breads were quite yummy! While this was a one-time occurrence, I would still go back to try again.

I ordered Liver/kebda at this restaurant and it came with an old stale bread/tamees that is hard to eat! I asked the server who was the only person working at that time to exchange the bread for me and he said “this is all what we have now” and refused to replace it. Not happy with the service! It is a hit or miss, you either get fresh food or you dont!

very lovely and unique cozy place. The place has a lot to look at and is a really nice blend of East & West. 🇾🇪 Yemeni base with good ol'Canadian 🇨🇦🍁 character. They have nice sit down area with traditional Khaleeji Majlis type set up. They gave good tasting food and were generous with the tea pot. They have Shukshoka and liver and more and are able to customize it to your liking.

One of the most unique cafés in Ottawa. The staff were very friendly and welcoming for our first time here. The interior is beautifully decorated, with some traditional mafraj sitting lounge-like booths available. We loved our drinks: the signature chai karak - a tea made with evaporated milk and spices. I got the egg, tomato, and cheese mulawah flatbread (which tasted remarkably similar to a Taiwanese egg crêpe, even though they're from unrelated cultures and cuisines). She got the house special liver wrap. Both were excellent.

The dishes were good though the portions are small for the price. The bread didn't taste fresh. Nor was it warm. Bur for me the most appalling part was that they don't offer tap water. They force you to buy water or a can of soda and charge $3 + for a can. No glass no ice.

Someone told me the coffee was good here and it didn’t disappoint- I was very pleased with the coffee. Don’t expect quick service like you normally would at cafes though, but it’s worth the wait. The small cozy atmosphere is traditional to Middle Eastern with its decorations and music. There is an interesting bookshelf with a large collection of books.

My first visit last night. This place has so much potential. We ordered 3 glasses of Karak and Turkish coffee. They were excellent. I also ordered qawarmah and eggs. For $21.95 I was a bit disappointed that the bread wasn't made in house nor was it served warm. The dish was okay and a small serving. I do love the atmosphere and the friendly service. Would I visit again? Perhaps for the tea and coffee only.

Breakfast menu is very limited, only plastic utensils to eat with, no table service you need to do everything yourself at a price of a fine restaurant. Definitely more of a take out spot. Very nicely decorated inside the restaurant

Stumbled upon this place by coincidence and boy was I pleased to find it!! I ordered fool medammes (cooked beans) and chai karak and both were just fantastic. The flat bread they served with the fool was fresh and delicious, and the karak was just the right balance of sweet. The 2 guys working in there were very pleasant and the atmosphere inside was nice. They were slightly expensive ($20 for fool and 2 karak) but considering the quality I'd still eat there again.

This place became my favourite dine-in cafe. From the decorations to the drinks and dished, everything is completely unique. I would highly recommend that you add some Arabic books to the collection.

I've never had fava beans like this, they are so delicious. The pan bread is amazing, especially the egg one. The Nutella dessert is a wonderful treat. And the best tea, "chai karak", so nice to find it in Canada. The atmosphere is so relaxed, authentic and very comfortable. Highly recommend. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Good for the whole family!

This place is amazing! One of the most unique cafés in Ottawa and is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the different cultures of the city. Though it was a bit busy when we went, we received top service from the friendly staff. Hot, delicious food served right to the table! The interior decor has a cozy vibe that will make you feel right at home! 10/10 recommend 👌

Fantastic cafe. They serve all day breakfast as well as a variety of sweet options and drinks. Great atmosphere, clean, polite staff and fresh food. I tried the savoury dishes but I'll be back for the sweet stuff as well.

Greasy food, prepared by an untrained chef. We came back after an awesome experience last year, ordered the shakshouka and basically got an oily scrambled egg with tomatoes and onions and crunchy bread. Staff was not willing to entertain any fault on their part, there was something wrong with us, as the menu says it contains eggs, tomatoes and onions, which they provided 😳🤷‍♀️ it didn't mention oil that it was swimming in, I guess that was our fault too. Such a shame.
