If you're an ice cream or gelato lover, you have to try this cafe when you pass by. It's hard to see how much more you can improve on the flavours and quality of the gelato, though I'll admit the prices of around $7 are at the absolute limit of being reasonable. Regardless, visit this when you need a fantastic treat.

Great gelato and in the top 3 gelato places I have ever been to, which is a very extensive list I might add. Portion sizes are big so a small/medium cups are usually enough for most people. They also allow for 3 different flavours to be chosen vs. the usual 1 flavour. The price is on the high side without a doubt, however for their gelato quality and portion size it is worth it, as you will be well aware with the lineups outside and inside the store!

This is probably the best gelato in Ottawa… but I ordered a piece of cake. I received a piece that was very poorly cut. The front of the cake was missing - looked as though it had fallen apart. It was good, but I was disappointed because I really did want a whole piece of cake.

Got a birthday gelato cake there, you can have two flavours, I had mango and strawberry with vanilla cake base. The gelato had a smooth texture, gelato cake is the best cake. Also i think 6 inch was slightly small for 4 people if you really like gelato because you just want more😌

Nice staff and delicious ice cream. They offer three cup sizes for ice cream and you can have three flavors in the small one.

I rarely give 5 stars, however, it’s very difficult to rate gelato. Thinking back, I can’t think of what more could be done giving the extreme cold operating temperatures effect on taste. Even with my mouth frozen worst than a root canal I was able to distinguish between the mango, coconut pineapple and chocolate flavours. Take my 5 stars …but a little bit less money please…a bit on the expensive side, is it worth it ? Well, I don’t think I can make it at home…

Looking for summer refreshments?! Don’t miss out Stella Luna gelato! They have Generous portion of gelato. The staff are super friendly and know well their gelato, fats service! Definitely will go back once in town.

ATTENTION Pregnant Ladies (read below). Excellent gelato ice cream, and very generous portions! Their flavour combination is excellent, and their service is fantastic. ATTENTION Pregnant Ladies...They have a flavour called "Deliver" which is chocolate, cinnamon, and chilli pepper... any size of this favor is FREE if you're pregnant. Unfortunately it didn't help with my wife, but a few have claimed that they went into labor after eating it!! Give it a shot if you're on your last few days of your pregnancy and it actually tastes good. It's a great atmosphere, and it's hard to beat their gelato!

It's hard to believe that a Family owned, award winning gelato cafe can be found here right in Ottawa. This place is always packed and the line up moves pretty fast. Coffee and sandwiches are served. Waffles are amazing too. But the Gelato is the best! Great flavours, good layout of space and interesting interior decorations. This would probably be my favorite stop whenever I'm in Ottawa now.

An absolutely wonderful place with amazing atmosphere and decor! Such amazing selection of teas and items to buy as you walk in. An amazing selection of sandwiches and baked goods. Lots of gelato flavor options to choose from. They have lots of vegan options as well! When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and I felt like I was a member of their family walking into my their home at Christmas! The staff there was so friendly and helpful, in particularly Zack. He was very kind and informative and knowledgeable and super patient with my young son who had a hard time making up his mind. I absolutely can't wait to go back there again! Their prices are reasonable I would have paid twice as much for the delicious gelato I had, it would have been worth it! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone no matter the time of year or day of the week just go! Next time I go back I'll take some pictures but my gelato did not last long enough to take pictures because it was simply too delicious! I got the vegan chocolate sorbet and I do not like chocolate at all and it was my absolute favourite flavor! Which will just tell you how delicious it actually is! Wonderful experience with my 9 and 10 year old going the first time, staff patient and friendly with them. We had Gelato and Sorbet waffle cones and they were delicious! They made sure we had seats for dine in and definitely recommend for a nice family visit and treat, a little more expensive but worth it

If you're looking for the best gelato in the National Capital Region (and perhaps, in Ontario), this is the place to go. Many different flavors, all oustandingly delicious and intense. Special mention to the chocolate orange gelato!

The soup and sandwich was okay, but expensive, just under $16. The desserts look awesome, but didn't have room to try any of them. The gelato is what they are known for, but in my opinion unreasonably expensive. I have had the gelato before, and it is definitely delicious. The price is what is scary. The small size is a whopping $7.90 before tax, and the prices of course increase for larger sizes. No cheap outing even if you are only going to buy gelato. Definitely not a place you would take your whole family for a treat or you will go broke! You can decide if paying $10 per person for gelato is worth it.

Went there today with my wife and daughter. Had ice cream. It was good, not the best I had though. However, I did not like the attitude of the chubby guy that works there. I didn't want to leave a tip, but the pay machine does not give you that option. The girl on the cash register was nice.

Best gelato in the city. I love the rotating flavours! Good mix of fruity, chocolate, and nut flavours. Great service and helpful staff if customers have questions. I can't speak much about their drinks, but I bet they are good! Savoury bites such as sandwiches, pies, and pizzas are also available. On one visit, I was disappointed that my food was poorly heated, and cold in the middle. It wasn't worth reheating since I was hungry. Both locations in Ottawa are amazing, snd have a vibe of their own.

Ice cream is really, really good. There are many options to pick from. up to 2 flavors in the small cup and up to 3 on larger sizes. Employees are very friendly and attentive. Prices are average. Enough tables. Clean location. Overall, a great experience. I definitely recommend this place for ice cream.

The best icecream in city

This place has been here for a long time as far as I can remember. Coffee is always good and large spacious interiors with cozy seats.

My doctor told me about this place, known for their labor inducing gelato. I was 2 days overdue when I got it, and went into labor 5 hours later. Not sure if it was really the gelato that did it, or my hour and half walk around the mall. Regardless, it was yummy (and free) and my husband liked his berry gelato too. Will be back!

Absolutely decadent cupcakes, very delicious: Coconut and Ferrero Rocher flavours are the only ones we’ve tasted so far. The gelato and sorbet so good; ruby peach and chocolate covered strawberries flavours only ones tasted so far. Update since last review: although gelato is expensive (like 10$ a flavour when ordering online to get a little tub) but worth it. This time again we ordered 2 flavours (pineapple and tiramisu) expecting 2 little tubs, as we had received last time, but instead someone decided to cram the two flavours into 1 tub? Not worth paying 10$ a flavour at that point. Hopefully that was just a one time bad judgement call.

A worthy detour to get some excellent gelato and sorbet. Always an interesting mix of rotating flavors that make us keep coming. The staff is always very nice. It is however often packed, especially on nice warm summer days (naturally) so plan on eating in a parc nearby instead of inside the shop.

I give a lot of 5 star reviews because I frequent places that give me 5 star service and this is one of them. The food, the staff, the drinks and the love. Try the hot chocolate and the gelato!!! Oh and the baked goods (a chocolate freaking brownie that will blow your mind!!!) Anyway I love them and I will support them as much as I can. Especially now.

Honestly took me by suprise we went cause my girlfriend is 38week wanted some labour inducing gelato which they have, the flavors are amazing and delicious, medium size gelato 3 flavors can't complain 5star flavor 5 star service.

Even the gelato that my daughter deemed “inedible” (the burnt mashmallow one) that I had to swap with her for was pretty darn good. Quaint little shop with some great flavours with a manageable amount of variety. I’d try it again - to actually get to eat the one I ordered this time.

The bad news is I can never go back to ice cream....the good news is this place is AMAZING!!! WOW! I had three different chocolate blends and I couldn’t believe how delicious they were. I will definitely go back soon!

Stella Luna is definitely the best gelato spot in Ottawa. Their gelato is full of flavour and very creamy. This time around we tried the Ferrero Rocher, Almond Cappuccino, and Carrot Cake. All of them were delicious and tasted exactly as it sounds. You can choose up to 3 flavours. There was quite a long line but it moves fast enough.
