😠 We see Dr Byrne for my daughter's allergies and he is great. What's not so great is the staff. They check the voicemail messages every 2 days, which is understandable. But then they don't really get back to you. I have to leave several messages over and over again for the same thing and no call back... People often mention doctor, clinic, call, appointment, phone, time, staff, called, family, work,

We see Dr Byrne for my daughter's allergies and he is great. What's not so great is the staff. They check the voicemail messages every 2 days, which is understandable. But then they don't really get back to you. I have to leave several messages over and over again for the same thing and no call back. We are just waiting for the electronic copy of instructions for managing my daughter's allergy. First they have a typo with the email address. That's again, understandable. Second, they corrected the email and sent a portion of the information needed. We saw the MD almost 3 weeks ago and still no information was sent out. Just time consuming and frustrating to call over and over again. It's pandemic, and everything slows down, I get that. I'm just hoping they will handle and address concerns with promptness and urgency.

My Dr at this clinic is fantastic-compassionate, caring and action oriented. The staff here is a whole different story. My experience this morning with one of the receptionists prompts me to give this review. This is not a one time experience unfortunately. This individual was extremely disrespectful, uncaring and lacks compassion and basic customer service skills. I am a patient of the clinic. Without patients the Drs don't work. Without Drs the clinic does not run and of course the admin staff would have no job. The fact that this person treated me with such an incredibly dismissive, rude and disrespectful approach is completely unacceptable and needs addressing. I work in customer service in an extremely busy retail setting. If I had treated just one customer this way I would be immediately be removed from the salesfloor, retrained and seriously reprimanded. I have also worked as a receptionist for a very busy medical practice myself. Had I treated our patients in this manner I would have been fired-absolutely no question about it. The admin staff at this clinic have seemingly zero consequences for their extremely rude and uncaring treatment of patients. They have no patience, atrocious communication skills and cannot be trusted to do what u need them to do. It's like they are there to block every request u have, and to make it as difficult as possible to access the health care that u have a right to as a citizen of Ontario. The Google rating of this clinic has never been more than 2.5 for SEVERAL YEARS. DOCTORS-PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. This admin staff is representing your business and u as doctors-something has to be changed!!!!!

It's online booking system is completely brain dead and so buggy. Please hire a proper co-op student to implement the web page. OTOH, why on earth that the only option is to book a follow-up appointment? Also as so many people pointed out, nobody ever answered calls. It makes you wait 10 minutes and then the call is dropped. I called in attempt to book an urgent appointment no less than 15 times and wasted 150 minutes. Ended up in ER ....

I have called 4 days in a row, each time leaving a message with my contact details and they have not called back. The 1 time my call goes through they instantly hung up on me before they even spoke a word. Im at a loss of what to do at this point. Ive had great experiences with my doctor but the receptionists are not worth dealing with. Avoid this practice if possible

    - My doctor treated me like test subject or medical cadaver. I am overweight due to medical issues I told them about (my old doctor retired and this was my new doctor) and they ignored what I told them and were acting like "No, you are fat, which means there's problems, and I'm going to find them" and tried to subject me to constant tests just to appease their own ego; all I needed was medication, not this. Never have I felt so disrespected by a doctor. I have not gone back since 2018 - I made the choice that my physical health was not worth the destruction of my mental health, and stopped taking medication. Psych-related medication. I've been off my meds for four years. That's how bad this was; it was preferable to suffer than to deal with that doctor. - My doctor has seen praise in these reviews that all complain about the staff. *Let that sink in.* My doctor, who treated me poorly enough that I hadn't returned in four years, was apparently one of the best parts of this clinic. And after trying to make another appointment with my doctor because I need a referral, I understand. My roommate and I had the same doctor so he always booked both our appointments before. My first time dealing with them directly was an eye opener that it wasn't just the doctor. This isn't some kind of new, pandemic-related issue; many of the one star reviews for this place go back about as far as when I last went to the clinic in 2018. So this is a long-running issue with no end in sight. Avoid at all costs; this is your health you're gambling with.

I don't like posting negative reviews but I feel that I have to warn others. After years of having no family doctor I was excited when I heard that this clinic is accepting new patients. I went in on a pre set appointment taking time off work and yet I had to wait for 40 minutes in the reception area. I went in with my husband for the meet and greet and somehow our combined appointments of 30 minutes became only a 5 minutes appointment. We went in with bunch of concerns and dr Nbububa was extremely dismissive and asked us to book another appointment to discuss these concerns with him. I asked the dr to order a blood work for me and he simply said you don't always need a blood work, although he hinted that we may have fertility problems because of a past surgery. After leaving we tried to call the clinic and try to find another dr and as expected, they never answer their calls. Long story short, my partner and I removed ourselves from this dr's list. I'd rather have no dr than have someone that doesn't listen to my concerns. The rating on this clinic is very accurate.

Do NOT go here unless you want to be ignored by the staff. They don't answer phone calls and if they do answer you, you got lucky. They also don't listen to your voice messages, nor do they leave you one in return if you miss their callback. That's not bad enough for you yet? Well, once you finally get an appointment don't be surprised if your doctor cancels on you multiple times. Then once you have your appointment and eventually get there, expect to wait an hour or longer. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

Do not recommend. I’ve been waiting for a referral since April, I called for an update to be told it was declined back in May, other suggestions to a different referral made but the office and my doctor failed to ever tell me this information. Even despite having an appointment in May and many many other appointments regarding the same issue. Medications sent to the wrong pharmacy, even after updating them. Refilled my prescriptions at the appointment but the script was never even sent. They tell me they need the doctor to resend then the next receptionist says oh no problem let me resend that for you right away. They don’t even know when their doctors are working. Same issues all the time, never get resolved.

Do not walk, run away from this clinic as fast as you can. The staff actively speaks rudely about patients, will not fill your prescriptions unless they book you for an appointment every month so they can get PAID for more unneccesary appointments, charge to release prescriptions to you and so much more. I have never in my life encountered such rude staff members either. Oh and don't expect to hear back from your doctor about test results, unless you call to REMIND THEM of your tests, you'd never know if you had a problem or not. I am try surprised that this clinic is still running.

I have been a client of Dr.Gagnon for about 10 years now. I have never seen such bad customer service from the receptionists. I had an appointment on the phone today and NEVER got the phone call?! Almost 3 hours after my appointment was suppose to take place and no one is answering the phone at the clinic. I’ve called 10 times now and left a message. This is absolutely unacceptable and rude! I am so close on looking for another family doctor for myself and my daughter!

Too many doctors, no availability. They work on the emergency clinic that runs 3 times per week. My pharmacist needed an answer for a prescription that needed the right dosage for penicillin, she Didn’t get anything back for days while I was sick. 4 secretaries for what? You’re on hold for 10 minutes and then you have to leave a message. I saw 2 people coming to take appointment while I was in the waiting room because probably they couldn’t do it by phone and the schedules were not open for 3 weeks later for some doctors. And poor nurse, she doesn’t have any help from the doctors to find the right swab…I like my doctor but can’t stand the service around that. You feel unimportant and annoying.

I have not been able to actually schedule an appointment with my family doctor for the last 3-4 years. I called today and was told I may be able to speak to an emergency on call doctor in two days if I get lucky (call immediately when they open and hope for the best) or I can speak with my family doctor on a phone consultation in 3 weeks. I am currently struggling to understand the purpose of having a family doctor. This is not an isolated event, this is how their practice is run.

Saw Dr Byrne for pediatric allergies, and we left very satisfied. He did not try to push inappropriate treatment, calmed some anxieties and concerns we had, and explained everything in a very conversational manner (this wasn't a case of the Dr barking jargon at us). We left confident in his diagnosis, treatment , and prognosis. The resident Dr we met first (sorry for forgetting your name) was kind, compassionate and helpful. The person who administered the test (again sorry, I suck with names) was efficient, friendly and clearly likes children. Would give the whole experience more than 5 stars if I could.

The reception and one of the doctor are the most unprofessional people in the Healthcare industry. I have never wrote a bad review before. If you have IBS he says it's okay it will pass. I was lucky to get a phone number from someone who had doctor specifically for my condition. Not only is the service the worst you can get but they are rude. Doesn't matter if you suffer from anxiety or depression or just regular pain, you will come out of there in worst condition mentally. What people just want to be treated with respect and dignity, but they have no sympathy. They are the worst in Ottawa. Stay away.

I can never get through to someone to make an appointment with my doctor over the phone. Been trying to call them for the last week, no luck!! Even sent them an email to ask if they can call back, that was 2 weeks ago still nothing! I may just have to go physically to the clinic. Wish me luck

After getting through with their absolutely ludicrous calling system. I saw two doctors within a week and half. Mine is away and will return shortly. Both were terrible experiences and did not resolve anything for me. I’m sitting at a hospital right now waiting to be seen as we speak. What I did learn from this lesson, is how fortunate I am to have the doctor I do have who takes her time to hear what is wrong and takes the necessary steps to find out what is going on. I hope these doctors are better with their own patients. The second didn’t want to hear what led me his office and told me to focus on telling him where the pain was. I was APPALLED. Yes there is a lack of doctors, good ones are hard to find.

This clinic is the most difficult to get ahold of. They answer their phones probably 10% of the time. And no, this isn't just based off of busy call times, I've called at multiple times throughout the day. The main problem is with the complete lack of respect from a specific doctor who never shows up, randomly cancels your appointments that you've waited over 1 month for, and insist on phone call appointments, yet don't call during the scheduled time. It is completely disrespectful and an utter waste of time. I know the health care system is extremely stretched currently, but this has been the case since pre-pandemic life.

Not a Walk in Clinic as google states, went today because it is so clearly advertised on website that it is a walk in clinic, and staff promptly informed it was not a walk in, and I needed to have a doctor there. Could probably save a lot of time if this centre was titled differently online, also the staff seemed visibly upset I walked in.. very odd.

I have been a patient of this clinic for 37 years. Dr. Moss was my doctor almost my entire life. She retired, and I got Hillier. He's not terrible, but slow. Getting an appointment is next to impossible. precovid he was almost always on holidays. Now, it's even worse. I had been trying to get an appointment to refill my prescriptions , every appointment ended up getting cancelled for a couple months straight. When I finally had my appointment, the answer I got was sorry you fell through the cracks. I have had a bunch of issues medically the last two years, and was finally sent to a specialist back in May. That specialist sent me for tests. I still do not have the results. Specialists office says I need to get them from Hillier. So cue Tuesday of this past week. Appointment by phone with Hillier. No call came. Called yesterday morning, was on hold for over 20 min, the system kicked me out told me to call back. So I called right back. Finally get through to someone about another 15 min later. They tell me he called and there was no answer. My phone was in front of my face the entire time waiting for the call. No missed calls, no voicemails. I explain I am waiting for results. They state we will send him a message and see how to proceed and we will call you back once he response. Hours go by, I call back. Only to be told that he apparently can't give me my test results as he didn't order the tests.....so the specialist is telling me to get it from him, and he is telling me to get it from the specialist.....I'm at a loss. No idea what to do. I'm still sick. Issues are getting worse, and I am getting no help. Tried to rebook another appointment today.....Jan 30 2023....for a phone call.....here's hoping that actually happens. I'm so done. But can't go anywhere else.

Possibly the worst service I've ever experienced. Phoned to book an appointment for prescription renewal and was placed on hold for close to 20 minutes. When the call was finally answered, I was told that the doctor would get back to me, via phone, to refill an existing prescription, on Jan. 3, almost 2 months from now! If the doctor wants or needs to see me, I can image how much more time will pass before I can get an actual appointment. I understand the impact of covid, but this is ridiculously excessive.

Drove all the way from downtown to pick up allergy serum, to find they're closed during business hours. This photo was taken at 7:50 on a Tuesday. I'd have called first but they don't answer their phones. Folks if you're going to close early could you please change your hours so we know. Or answer the phones! Put it on Twitter!Something! The allergist is amazing but the clinic is impossible to get hold of.

Made hundreds of attempts over 6 days to reach the clinic by phone to make a doctor's appointment without ever reaching someone. Always getting automated service, staying on hold for 15 minutes only to receive automated message" no-one is available to take your call..." and got disconnected.

I am pregnant and I have pain in my belly. My doctor told me that if I had these symptoms, I need to call her to have an urgent appointment. Well, I call this clinic the receptionist tells me that there is no time to see her until October? I try to explain and insist, and she hangs up on the phone. My doctor is excellent but this clinic service is terrible.

So happy we dont go here anymore, unfortunately my mother still does because she cant find a new family doctor. One of the receptionists is extremely rude and the doctors are very passive when it comes to raising health concerns. Better off waiting at emergency than getting any help here. Would rate it zero stars if I could.

I had Dr. Byrne for an allergy related issue. He was good and professional. He gave me two prescription one of which I got immediately and the other I still haven’t received in over 3 1/2 months. The doctor is great but receptionist are terrible. They don’t answer the phone, don’t call back in 5 business days as they claim and have only gotten back to me once, weeks after I called. I’d give Dr. Byrne 4.5 stars and the receptionist and nurse 0 stars

Dr. Byrne the allergist is the worst. He loves to prescribe pills for allergies and tells you there will be no side affects as if big pharma pays him commission. They are awful pills with many side effects but he couldn’t care less and prescribes them immediately and brushes you off when you ask for different solutions. But Dr. El Masri on the other hand is the best dr. he is very knowledgeable and I also like the receptionist a lot, she is very kind and cares about customer. Just avoid dr. Byrnes !

I was told that I could go here for a new family doctor because they had an opening. When it was time to be seen I told her everything I needed checked (I was talking fast) then she tells me she doesn’t think we are a good match meaning she doesn’t like me so I can’t see her as my family doctor I can only assume she thought I was trying to get a doctors note and didn’t believe I needed to be seen, since a lot of doctors treat younger people like this constantly that’s my only assumption since I was polite it left me so confused that a doctor is allowed to refuse treatment because she didn’t match with me ? :/

I really think what occurred this morning needs to be looked at by management. This one star review is not for the doctors…It’s 100% about the secretaries. I love my dr. She is fantastic. Every dr i have seen here is fantastic. The nurses here are also kind, caring, compassionate- i don’t have enough good to say about them. BUT The secretaries. I didnt want to write a review here but i feel i have to, to maybe gain the attention of their boss. Today i actually had to ask one if she was the secretary or the nurse. Could i PLEASE just speak to the nurse… well within my rights. I can wait for a call back, calls back are normal. I repeated myself over and over as did she- telling me to call back in the morning to attempt to get one of the very few and extremely anxiety provoking to try and attain emergency appointments “with your gp or an on call gp” (my medical needs are complex, i hate to bother drs unless necessary- but i know something is drastically wrong and she insisted to begin with that i tell her what the symptoms were which of course included something very embarrassing.. zero compassion- and she fought me, blocked me on talking to the nurse! Finally i said “i feel very blocked here.” She kept saying the nurse would say the exact same thing. Ok, then let the nurse say it. I feel maybe the secretaries are power mad? Holy gate keeping! I said that i wanted it on my record that i had called and wanted to speak to the nurse and she would not let me. At that point everything changed, she said she was always going to pass the message along but still insisted that the nurse would not be able to direct me in any way and would say what she said. The nurse called me back quickly because she is fantastic. She assessed me and was very concerned. At first she advised going to the ER (do you see where i am going here?) And i started to prepare to go- she called back with further questions, had spoken to other nurses who knew me well (a client for over 20 years) and had also sent the info to my gp… who isn’t in tomorrow, btw. The nurse will also call back the instant she knows more and •directed• me with what worsening is (i thought this is the worst yikes!!) and was very kind and caring. So, in the end, there should be 2 rating systems for this clinic. One for the fantabulous medical staff (3 thumbs up!! 😊) And another for the secretaries who honestly should all be fired and people who are actually kind and decent be employed instead… like there used to be, before the clinic changed hands years ago- And i will be telling my gp about how the secretary thought she knew better and one day that’s absolutely going to backfire.

I Will give this place 0 star if there is an option. First the receptionist called on a Thursday to confirm my my daughter’s appointment for a Monday at 1pm then they called on the day of at 12 noon saying Hi you have an appointment at 11:30! I was told my daughter was at 11:30! We will reschedule you! I took the time off work and so we won’t miss our 1pm appointment! If they double book all they have to do is just come clean instead of making parents feel stupid!! That is shady in all aspects not to mention unprofessional.

My family doctor has been with this clinic for many years. If it was not for the fact that getting a new family doctor is almost impossible, I would avoid this clinic at all cost. Over the many years, it's always been the case where the staff is often very rude and unfrienly. They hardly ever greet you with a welcome and just hang up the phone after a conversation. This is not an isolated instance but a regular occurance at this location. If you can -- chose another clinic.

After many calls and messages left on their answering machine to call me back please, also email sent to the clinic via their website , I was lucky today and after selecting all the numbers , I got human being answering my call, I almost jumped off my chair from the happiness.. I asked if I can book a phone appointment with my family doctor, the girl on the phone said the nearest time is September 15, " we are on July30" I was just shocked from her answer, I just need to consulate the doctor for 15 min call , I have to wait month and half.. I just need a referral please, No only Sep 15, I said sorry this too far and I will go to Apple tree , very sad and this is not right!!! The girl on the phone was nice and I think she was stressed out from the answering the phone calls..

Same as most everybody else . The doctor is fine but the receptionists are beyond unsympathetic with absolutely no empathy . I also work in healthcare and if I were as rude , dismissive and disrespectful as the receptionists at this cliic are I would be required t take courses and possibly suspended from work . Maybe they are the reason that 4 or 5 doctors quit the practice within 5 months last year . I feel their whole work environment must be toxic and they take it out on their coworkers

This clinic took over my file after my family doctor left her old clinic and subsequently left this one too. My care had been previously mismanaged (by the previous clinic to be clear) and this new office staff worked closely with me to release my files and resolve my issues. They were keen to help despite the fact that it was not their staff who had made errors previously. Thank you Abby & team for your assistance and kindness is helping me.

I've never had a problem when visiting this clinic. The staff have always treated me with respect and are quite pleasant to speak with. Dr. Z. Khan is an excellent physcian. A few years ago, he accepted me as a new patient when no one else would. He is very pleasant and attentive. He immediately addresses your health concerns, no matter how minor. He sends off faxes for perscriptions, referrals, and any other test I might need within the hour, maybe even sooner. He cares for the well being of his patients and his concern is genuine. When scheduling appointments by phone or in clinic, he is always on time. His staff are always friendly and call to remind me of upcoming appointments. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Khan as my family physcian.

I have never felt more let down by a clinic or family doctor; I am not able to talk to my doctor directly without waiting a month between appointments. I had an appointment earlier this month, and she agreed to my request for a dose increase, and when I went to go pickup my prescription, it was the same dosage. I called and asked what’s going on, even went in person. The receptionist was rather rude and not even allowing me to finish my sentence, saying I’m not even allowed pass off a message to my family doctor I’ve had for nearly 20 years. I am unable to concentrate on my work any longer, my symptoms are back, everything I have addressed in my follow up was disregarded. It is sad my work and professional career will now suffer as a disregard to my mental health. I didn’t go to the doctors for a while, now I remember why; No one cares about you, you’re a quick number in and out. Thanks for nothing. - Sasha

She does not hesitate to refer you to a specialist when required - she is very proactive. Special thanks to her admin assistant Stacey who is also very caring and competent. Thanks for all your excellent care to my husband and myself. We are very lucky to have Dr. Nasim as a family doctor.

I have been trying to contact the clinic for over a month, to schedule an appointment for a physical. Their online booking (when it even works), does not allow you to book for physicals in this manner. I have called on different days and at different times, and have yet to get ahold of them. I wait on the phone until the time expires and it disconnects me. I have emailed several times as well without response. While I understand that their office is busy, this is unacceptable. They need to figure out what they're doing wrong so that it can be rectified. No one should have this much difficulty contacting their Dr's office.

Very difficult to get anyone to pickup the phone! Online system is useless. I like my doctor but very difficult to just get to be seen. The way this clinic is managed only gets worse every year… if I could find another doctor where clinic was better managed and front staff were more professional, I would make the switch but that’s also next to impossible to find these days.

I was there two weeks ago for my son and I felt bad for that young French receptionist who seemed to be doing all the work. As I approach her to book my son, I was just happy that she was the one serving me instead of the other that wasn't doing anything but staring at her computer screen. Merci pour ton service madame :)
