TERRIBLE. BE WARNED. We booked our pitch 3 weeks before arrival and recieved confirmation, but when we arrived the abusive owner refused to honour our booking. After driving 5 hours to the campsite, with our 3 and 6 year old, we had nowhere to stay. The owner said that as we arrived after 3.30pm he had given our pitch away. He made no attempt to contact us, neither the confirmation or website stated this was the latest arrival time. We explained the very difficult situation that this put us in and that we had no warning of such an early arrival time the owner said "its my campsite I will do what I want". When we asked if he knew of anywhere else we could stay he said "no, I don't care" and walked away. We acted in good faith, planned ahead and arrived at a reasonable hour. However it was a busy sunny weekend and the owner decided he could make more money by betraying us. We had to drive another 4 hours home as we could find nowhere else to stay. As adults this was annoying but it was very distressing for the little ones. Personally I could never recommend this place, the owner is greedy and dishonest. You might be lucky if the weekend is quiet or rainy, but he has no honour and will happily leave you without somewhere to stay for his own profit.

Lovely campsite in a beautiful location next to a river, surrounded by woodland. You can self check in with a QR code or there is a list of available pitches on reception door and you choose a pitch and check.in when office opens 8.30am-10.30am or 1800-2000. You can pay by card and no extra cost for showers or electric. 3km to beautiful town Monschau. Choose a pitch to right and no road noise just birds and river.

Really nice campsite, very cosy and nice and quiet in the evenings!

It's a really nice place, friendly efficient owners. Free showers. And lot's of well documented walking routes are crossing the camping site. We had live music in a beautyfull setting. Only downsite: it was just a bit to crowded in the weekend

Very beautiful camping area next to a small river and close to beautiful trails that leave from the camping. We were a bit cautious about the service having read other recent reviews, however since we were camping in off season it wasn’t too busy so there was more then enough space. The office is only open two hours a day (from 9:00 - 10:00 and from 19:30 - 20:30). However when your camping with a tent your allowed to find a spot and check in later. The spot was a bit pricey and you have to pay cash (€8 for a small tent and €5 per person) but the area was beautiful and well worth it. I think your able to order bread for in the morning and they have a small shop but we didn’t utilize that. Bathroom and showers were clean. The only small thing was that there’s a road running really close to the camping so there is some noise disturbance but it didn’t bother us too much. Overall a very good experience!

Beautiful campsite, the owners are very friendly

A very nice camping. Perfect for staying the night. Friendly owners, clean toilets and bathrooms. (You don't have to bring toilet paper, there is plenty!) If you camp by tent you will get a nice big spot for your car and tent. The only downside is that some visitors can be loud at night, but that can happen everywhere , so it's not a let down.

Beautiful camping spot. Pretty wet in the morning because close to river. Takes some time to dry your tent. Nice owner. Lent me a tool to fix my bike.

Great place in a great area with lots of walking paths surrounded of nature! Worker's are really nice and easygoing. We will come back for sure.

Beautiful setting, very clean amenities. Free showers to use. A bit noise from the road nearby, but the trees and a little creek make up for it. The kids loved it! Many activities to do nearby. The downside of this place is the Cafe. Not equipped at all! But overall we enjoyed our stay there and will go again.

We were on a cycling trip and slept in one of the rooms. For us it was just perfect. We arrived quite late and tired but the owner (she is the best host ever) was so nice to make sure we got something eat. The room was tiny but comfortable and clean and the next day we had a really lovely breakfast. For that price we couldn't have found a better place! Highly recommended.

The spots for cyclists were not great. No tables and little grass. Close to the road where others campers drove through. The toilets and showers were clean. For the price we would have expected a bit more.

Nice located camping. Next to the river and close to the historic town of Monchau. 4 out of 5 stars. 4 is good and it is a good camping with perfect facilities. Sure worth a visit.

Top location. We stayed at the Pipo Wagon for a few nights. Its right next to the river and has a heater for the cold nights. There is no cell phone connection. There is wlan, but only at the reception. The surrounding area is beautiful. The workers are friendly and everything is very clean. The Pizza is just ok for the price. Toilets and showers are clean. 5/5 Stars

Pipo wagen was amazing for the price. There is even a small heater in the Pipo wagen. Was missing a small trashcan and a table in there, but not a big deal. Location is beautiful and the people are very nice. You can buy snacks and drinks at the reception and also order a pizza which I do rate a 6/10 not great not bad. Toilets and showers are very clean. There are 2 ways to Monschau, both are like a 25 min to walk. Very cute city.
