Sri Bateshwar Mahaprabhu Temple is an 8th century temple near the Rushikulya rookery (of Olive Ridley turtles) and Humma village in Ganjam district of Odisha. There is a sea beach near the temple. Situated about 8 kilometres from the NH16, this temple is of archaeological importance. Devanagari and Kutila scripts are in the inscriptions at the site. However, they cannot be read due to the poor clarity of these inscriptions dating to the 10th Century.

Serenity of this temple is so good which will give you the positive vibes. This is an Historical temple which depicted the all Adya Shakti. Bateswar Beach and one small park with Big Shiva Statue are there. Main road to this temple is approximately 4kms and you will have to cross a few villages and the villagers have filled up the roads with potty which requires Local Government attention.

This is a 8th/9th century temple, may be constructed during Sailodvaba/Bhaumakara reign , unearthed in 1950s.Till then it was buried under sand dunes.A lot of development works done in very recent times.A small parvati temple(in picture) was discovered in 2016 while renovation works were carried out.

Amazing temple along with newly built park. You've to go almost 5 km in the village route to reach the temple. Beach is also near at walking distance.

It's a beautiful temple where lord Shiva in the name of Bateswara is worshipped and this temple is located 40 kms before Gopalpur coast in Ganjam while u travel from Bhubaneswar. The main entrance gate after Huma guides u to the temple which is a fifteen min drive from the highway. What is unique is this temple is located in the middle of a step well which is not a very commonly seen structure in the East of India. You will also enjoy a very clean beach adjoining to the temple...

Great place to spend by entire family... One of the good place for picnic and family events. Very nice temple for Puja.. Very good play area for kids... Nice dine area for family functions.. Next to temple have a fentastic sea beach... Cool place to hang out... But not much crowd I saw on the working day... considering safety I did not got into the water...but the sea water and beach was clean and nice.. Please don't expect a restaurant nearby but temple serves Prasad at 1 am ..for which you have to inform in advance..
