I
called
today
to
make
an
appointment,
after
being
on
hold
for
18
minutes
(which
is
not
unusual)
and
someone
finally
answered,
all
they
said
was:
“It
will
be
quiet
for
a
moment
One
moment
please…!"
This
moment
lasted
another
20
minutes
and
after
waiting
on
my
display
for
38
MINUTES
until
someone
even
spoke
to
me,
let
alone
saying
every
now
and
then
that
we
would
be
there
for
you
in
a
moment,
I
was
simply
ignored
during
the
entire
day-to-day
practice
and
could
hear
every
single
patient
name/data,
I
then
hung
up.
Unfortunately,
my
8
month
old
baby
could
no
longer
keep
still
and
started
crying.
Since
I
come
from
a
practice
myself,
such
misconduct
is
an
absolute
no-go!
Addition
to
your
answer
below:
It
is
true
that
when
you
work
under
pressure
and
understaffed
(as
we
all
know
in
this
area!),
longer
waiting
times
can
occur.
However,
as
mentioned
in
my
text,
the
waiting
time
was
not
the
main
problem.
Mainly
I
found
it
inappropriate
that
the
patient
should
wait
“a
moment”
but
then
be
forgotten
on
the
phone.
I
can't
explain
it
any
other
way,
because
in
between
I
could
definitely
hear
that
you
could
answer
the
phone
(in
between
private
conversations
as
well
Laughter
from
a
colleague
with
a
colleague!),
even
if
it's
just
to
ask
to
call
back
later,
but
the
fact
that
other
people's
time
is
treated
so
disrespectfully
is
a
mystery
to
me!!!
If
you
had
simply
made
it
clear
from
time
to
time
that
you
weren't
simply
forgotten,
everything
wouldn't
have
been
a
problem
even
after
38
minutes
of
waiting
on
the
phone!
But
38
minutes
to
make
an
appointment
is
in
no
way
justified
and
is
disproportionate.
Back
to
your
point,
I
should
have
contacted
you
personally
to
complain
about
this,
how
could
I
have
done
that?
Hang
on
the
receiver
for
another
hour?
This
makes
me
feel
that
my
review
is
completely
appropriate
and
justified.
