I
opened
my
eyes
in
2021
after
a
consultation
with
Dr.
I
had
Esser
lasered
in
the
belief
that
after
the
procedure
I
would
mostly
be
able
to
do
without
my
glasses.
I
can
now
see
well
into
the
distance
without
glasses,
but
since
the
procedure
I
can
no
longer
see
anything
close
up.
It
was
announced
that
I
would
still
need
reading
glasses
to
read.
I
started
from
reading
a
book
or
a
leaflet.
I
can
no
longer
see
my
own
fingernails,
recognize
my
face
in
the
mirror
and
certainly
can't
read.
Since
the
laser
treatment,
I
have
been
absolutely
helpless
without
reading
glasses.
I
can
also
no
longer
tell
whether
I'm
being
served
a
clean
or
dirty
glass,
which
might
be
an
advantage.
For
two
years
I
have
had
several
appointments
on
ABC
Street
and
today
at
UKE
to
find
a
solution
that
would
improve
my
situation.
Here
my
disappointment
is
always
described
as
self-inflicted
and
the
staff
and
doctors
show
no
understanding
for
my
disappointment
after
this
result.
People
constantly
position
themselves
and
claim
that
the
operation
was
a
success,
that
I
can
see
into
the
distance
wonderfully
and
that
I
should
have
known
everything
else
myself.
So
I
traded
moderate
nearsightedness
for
strong
farsightedness.
The
whole
procedure
not
only
cost
a
lot
of
money,
but
also
a
lot
of
time.
I
was
49
years
old
at
the
time
of
the
procedure.
I
have
now
learned
from
other
eye
clinics
that
at
the
age
of
49
you
should
no
longer
have
your
eyes
lasered,
but
rather
have
the
lenses
replaced.
My
request
to
replace
the
lenses,
including
the
full
cost,
was
also
rejected.
I
was
offered
that
exactly
€400
of
the
€2,500
for
the
laser
treatment
would
be
credited.
I
mean,
the
lens
exchange
costs
€5,000,
which
means
my
costs
would
then
be
€7,100,
plus
all
the
contact
lenses
that
I
bought
for
different
experiments.
I
was
told
just
today
at
the
UKE
that
I
should
have
known
that
such
an
intervention
is
always
a
compromise.
It's
a
shame
that
I
wasn't
told
this
during
the
initial
consultation,
but
instead
left
me
with
a
folder
labeled
Goodbye
Glasses,
believing
that
laser
treatment
would
improve
my
quality
of
life
and
vision.
I
am
extremely
disappointed
with
Care
Vision
and
cannot
recommend
this
clinic.
UPDATE
on
the
response
to
my
review:
It
is
not
true
that
I
did
not
accept
an
offer,
I
have
been
to
you
several
times
since
the
treatment,
which
cost
me
even
more
time
and
money.
The
best
offer
was
that
€450
of
€2500
would
be
credited
if
I
had
my
lenses
replaced,
success
not
guaranteed.
I
would
never
let
you
see
me
again.
