MY PUPPY LOVED IT HERE! 🐶 🏖 Drove all morning from Arizona to go to the dog beach with my puppy. The beach wasn’t too crowded on a Friday evening before sunset. Even though it was January, the water wasn’t that cold so the humans were able to get in about knee deep comfortably. There are tons of trash cans on the beach so you don’t have to worry about messes. All of the people were super chill and the doggos were even friendlier. I am glad my puppy had fun playing here. It was worth the drive and will definitely keep this spot in mind for future visits.

So much fun to hang out with the family and our puppy! Everyone was nice. Wasn't super crowded (in January) and parking was easy. It's usually a zoo in the summer so avoid it! Please train your dog (socialize) before coming to the beach and pick up your poop!

Parking here is 350 an hour. The bathroom for the dog beach area is all the way up by the parking area and is portapotty. Sometimes this bathroom area is super nasty. I try to avoid. All that being said this beach is super clean and very wide. You can interact with other people or have space so your dogs can roam. This beach has really grown on me and it’s actually my favorite beach as of lately. I think it’s because the sunsets here are so beautiful and they have so many beautiful shells that you can collect and there’s a lot of nature. My kids love to dig for sand crabs(I think there’s sand crabs I don’t know what I’ll put a picture) we always let them go, of course. I like the regular beach in this area also want to meet this is the best dog beach in all the areas that I’ve been to. Oh, did I mention that? It’s horrible to try to park over here in the Dog area you always have to wait but I don’t seem to mind that either because I keep going back. Also, when you’re parked by the Dog area, there’s nothing walking distance to go get snacks or drinks so you have to plan before hand. I’m really not sure why this my favorite but it is!

We were traveling from out of town and decided to go out of our route to stop by the dog beach. There was a lot of dogs so our pups had fun running around chasing each other. It was pretty clean, i did not see any dog droppings anywhere. They also had a blast running into the water chasing their ball. Great time for anyone with dogs. The weather was perfect too!! Paid Parking was available within a couple hundred feet. Next time we're in town we will definitely pass by again.

Awesome place to let my high energy dog run! The dog beach even hosts fun dog themes events like Corgi Day (seen in the picture I posted). Like any place where there are large groupings of dogs, it's up to the owners to be aware and attentive to the environment to keep their own dog safe. We come here at least 4-5 times a month and most of those times are fun and stress free with fresh air and beautiful ocean views. HOWEVER we have definitely witnessed scuffles between dogs that are not being monitored by their owners and have also seen owners not picking up after their dogs. Apart from people like that, this is a great beach and I definitely do recommend becoming here!

My cousin and I came here to say goodbye to her pup. A month later we had to say goodbye to mine. Something told me I should head to the beach at sunset. She passed one week later. It's a beautiful beach. It's always a lovely time. Please be mindful of your dog and their behavior and everyone will have a great time. Being able to bring the dogs here is a privilege so please help keep the beach clean so our babies don't eat bad things. Bring poop bags to pick up after them. That said, this is the cleanest beach I've ever been to! Also, be prepared to hug some wet dogs! Parking is $3.50 an hour. It uses your license plate so take a picture on your phone before you pay if you don't know your plate. The meter does not take cash, so bring a debit or credit card.

Huntington's Dog Beach is very famous, and I often come to play. When my puppy comes here, he will feel very happy, and the puppies here are very friendly. The only disadvantage is that there are too few places for tourists to change clothes, and there is no place for tourists to take a shower.

Been coming to this beach for over 10 years. Nice beach for kids and your dogs. When the swell is right it’s a good wave to surf all year around. In the summer you might want to get there early to find parking because it will get full. Then you will have to find parking down the beach more by golden west st. But the walk in not that bad from there. You call also park in the neighborhood for free.

Seeing the wild oil rigs in their natural habitat was incredie. So majestic. In all seriousness, fantastic beach for dogs. Great open space, plenty of room to run and spend energy. Water is calm pretty far out, so they can go out and swim or get wet without being washed away

Awesome place to go and play with your dog. When we went there was a lot of people and the doggie bags ran out so make sure to bring plenty while you’re there. Also pack a lot of water for your dog. There’s nothing close by to run and grab a water bottle or something. Occasionally some fruit vendors will pass by if you’re lucky but they charge a lot and rather be prepared. Parking did take awhile as it’s very limited however if you don’t mind a walk you can always park further and I’m sure that’s quicker parking.

Nice clean beach to bring your dogs with lots of activities. We went on National Corgi Day. Very cool to see so many people with pets enjoying the beautiful day! There is paid parking areas along the beach or free parking in residential neighborhoods.

Parking is packed on weekends. Weekdays are way better. All the people I encounter while walking are friendly. My dog plays with any dog that will play with her. She absolutely loves this place.

Decided to take a mini vacay for our anniversary. We decided we would find a place where we could bring our fur baby along. So, we decided to check out this dog-friendly beach, and let me tell ya, it's a real gem. It's the kind of place where you and your furry friend can kick back, soak up the sun, and just let all your worries float away. First things first, the vibe here is super chill. No uptight rules or snooty attitudes - just good old beach fun. Dogs are welcomed with open paws, and you'll see pups of all shapes and sizes chasing balls, making new furry friends, and generally living their best doggy lives. The beach itself? Gorgeous. Soft, powdery sand that feels like a dream between your toes, and the water? Crystal clear and inviting. I couldn't resist jumping in. My Chihuahua was content watching from the dry sand. Now, let's talk about the people. Everyone here is friendly and laid-back. It's like a big, happy beach. It's the kind of place where people are just friendly. If you're worried about amenities, don't be. They've got you covered. There are doggie waste stations scattered around, so you can clean up after your pup, and plenty of space to pitch a small shade tent to cool off. Sunsets here? Perfect. I can't even describe how beautiful it is to watch the sun dip below the horizon. It's like a scene from a movie. Breathtaking. So, if you're on the hunt for a dog-friendly beach where you can just relax, enjoy the salty breeze, and let your pup go wild, this place is it. It's a little slice of beach paradise to make happy family memories with the pups. Trust me, you and your puppers will want to come back.

Best place for dogs & family, great location with cheap parking So, if you're into beaches and dogs, Huntington Beach's Dog Beach is the spot. Getting there is easy – park right by the beach. The dog area is massive, a long stretch where your pups can run wild for hours! The path from the parking lot can be a bit rocky, but it's manageable specially when your dogs are about to have the time of their lives. We've been bringing ours here for years, and they're still obsessed. 🐶💕 It's not just for the dogs, though. Families love it too. Imagine your dogs having a blast running in the sand while you have a picnic with the fam. Our daughter loves it! She loves seeing our dogs running around having a great time. We've been there when the tide's high and when it's low. Sometimes, we even catch the sunrise with our dogs – quality time with a view. In a world where dog-friendly places are hit or miss, Dog Beach at Huntington Beach is a hit. It's not just a beach; it's where your dogs go crazy happy, and you make memories. 🌅🐾

Great dog beach, it’s like 2 miles long. The only place I take my dogs. Only bummer is the two parking lots above the beach always have a massive line to get in, when there are actually open spots at the end of the lot that nobody sees. It kills me to sit in line as I just drove by 30 open spots that nobody ahead of you in line can see. Other than that issue it is a fun beach for your pups, make sure you pick up after them and Doggy bags are provided before you head down to the beach

Nice wide beach with convenient parking and access. Doggies and people are a pretty chill group, everyone gets along. The parking meters are not expensive but always getting checked. This attention has unexpected benefits in that nefarious types have little window of opportunity

I prefer parking in Bolsa Chica with my pass and walking to dog beach. My dog would give this beach 5 stars! I love coming here but hate it when there's a lot of trash. But we always have fun.

Nice place clean and beautiful sunset the dogs didn’t know what to think about the water but was really nice to be able to bring them so they can get use to the water

Awesome place to take your dogs, especially because theres not many places to take your dogs. My issue, they don't pick up the trash daily...overflowing with bags of poop. I'm sure that they can afford with that $3.50 an hour parking.

My dog loved it here!! My family also had a great time. Everything was pretty chill. Went on a slower weekday so that's probably why haha but it was really nice. One of the best things is that there are a bunch of these gopher squirrel things near the cliff where you park. My dog loved chasing them. Amazing spot!

OMG! This is one of my favorite places in California! A mere mile of beach for dogs and superior responsible paw parents to roam, but oh what a mile! The blue Pacific is on one side, sand cliffs on the other side and nothing but white sand in between. For us it's heaven. My Whippet loves to run, but doesn't like water. Scratch that. He hates water. At Dog Beach he can run back and forth for an hour or so and be ready for lunch at one of the dog-friendly cafes along PCH.

Great beach to take your dog. Lots of dogs playing. Mostly big dogs, but my little dog still had a great beach day.

Having a husky mix means high energy. I love this beach and have never had a single issue. Parking can be a little rough at times but the joy this beach brings my pupper makes it ALWAYS worth it.
