City decided to get rid of the playground, got federal money to fix it, they asked the citizens, which park needs fixing, I can't believe nobody is recalling or calling the county about this sad situation.H.P. voted the most depressing city in the U.S. ,not surprised. 5-8-2023, update, sadly still looks the same, I can't understand the citizens here, we pay so many taxes and no one complains.

The park itself is huge and beautiful. Skate park. Baseball diamonds. Basketball. Full size playground for the kids. Running path. BBQs. Full size pools soon. On a different note. The park being in Florencia 13s territory and having them show up enmass to question the colors I wore was not so fun. They were cool when they found out I was just enjoying the park with my kids. Be respectful, not a sheep and you shouldn't have a problem. Don't rep or act like a badass, homies in 13 dont play. I dont think wearing red or oddly enough tan is a good idea for this park. Security here is a joke. Tweakers doing meth in the parking lots... I suggest looking up Little Bear Park, its close and much nicer /safer.

Sadly. Like others reviewers mentioned this park is no longer what it used to be. I used to exercise here. Lots of people would used the workout machines, this park had. The playground was really nice. I don’t even know why would they get rid of all that. And leave an empty hole in place of all the good things it had. πŸ˜₯

Salt Lake Park isn't the same ever since you guys tore apart the skate ramps and the kids play ground like why did they even do this? This place is sad and empty now. My childhood hang out area is just now a pile of dirt and grass. Smh.

Went to what I wanted to say is my old hometown park, but it was a bit of a disappointment 😞 Hope to see it one back to it's old glory. Most of the park is close too gated up & there no good size playground for kids

Had a boys night out here and we cruise around a bit took pictures and enjoy the scenery creepy stuff in that swamp type environment the noises of wild animals stuff I've never heard before pretty amazing I got to visit this place during the day. But overall it was beautiful that night seeing all the landscape in the water hearing the different sounds of creatures I've never heard of before the different vibe I enjoyed it.

When are they going to fix the construction area because honestly it just looks ugly sitting there and nobody doing nothing. But everything else is good the restrooms got a little better. Just fix the construction area because it looks bad and salt late park is basically what HP is known for I think.

the park was perfect and brought in so many parents and kids in everyday but now it sits as a pathetic, sad shell of what it used to be. the place is disgusting and is just a huge dirty landfill now. unless you're into the basketball or soccer field there is no point of visiting this place whatsoever and i would not recommend.

The farmers market is ok but as far as the restrooms were the public has to use are just horrific very awful very bad I'm pretty sure the city has enough money to redo the bathrooms from the outside I mean don't knock the building down but fix the bathrooms the smell is awful I'm sure the city and the parks make or have enough funds from taxes and tickets they give out to fix these bathrooms ? It's just sad a very big city with lots of funds every city has funds unless there not going to the right place? These are buy the baseball field where the farmers market is on Wednesday . Please fix them..

Absolutely wonderful park. The basketball courts are well maintained even when neighborhood punks tear off the nets, and the RoboCop keeps the citizens safe and crime at bay. Come for basketball, stay for the RoboCop.

Nice park very clean and it's got RoboCop a Senior citizen center, basketball courts a little work out center outside restrooms and showers when they're open and fresh vegetables and eggs in the parking lot this was before the coronavirus

It's a big park with a lot of space. It has two workout areas that have pull up bars and other exercise. There's plenty of open space to run.

Coached 9 of my 15 youth sports teams here as well as playing in over 25 of my own teams since I was seven myself. This park, and city are very near and dear to my heart. And although I might be a bit bias, I also believe that the volunteers and parents have as much to do with visitor's experience and overall opinion of this historic park as it's outsider reviews and appearance.

So over all the park is very big it has 2 playgrounds and a basketball court. They also have a little booth kind of store they sell a lot of candy chips nachos Gatorade at decent prices. I took my daughter for splash pad which is open from 12pm to 6pm but they have a schedule teach session is an hour and a half. I got they're at 1:45 and they told me that the next session was going to start at 2:30pm end at 4pm but they do let you go in 15 minutes before so I'm not really sure about the schedule.

Fun family and friends park, basketball, volleyball, tennis. Active park, I say family because friends have become family. I'd recommend it and its patrolled by R2D2 Police robot keeping us protected and safe but idk from what but love going here on the weekends

  • 3/5 Brian C. 1 year ago on Google
There is only a playground for toddlers available. There is a soccer field that is always closed. The park has a lot of open space for except in the center due to an unfinished project that has been untouched for almost three years now. There are many different types of birds. A robot cop goes through the Northside of the park, near the basketball and tennis courts.

Heard that the city council will work on the β€œpark” but please don’t waste your time in this park. The old playgrounds were so cool, don’t know why the city took it off.

This review is based on the batting cages. The park has a sign up, promoting the opening of their batting cages, but this has to be the worst one I have ever been too. we scheduled over the phone, were told to pay with a money order, and to show up a little before our appt time. my appt was at 4pm, we got there at 3:50pm and were told by staff that someone would meet us at the batting cages. Well we stood there waiting until 4:15pm,someone finally showed up, he set up the cages and then he realized the machines wouldnt turn on. When my dad asked what speed the machines through the ball at,this staff memeber had no idea but he said"not fast" without even knowing the speed. Anyways,we ended up just leaving. This was a total waste of time.

The marionette puppet show cannot be beat, I HIGHLY recommend you see it while at Salt Lake Park.I'm 25, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fairy tale theme and activities, and I love seeing the real animals, my 5 year old loved the rides and especially the slide. It was also fun when some little girls barbie did a nose dive into the little river by the slide, guess barbie couldn't handle 'old school'.
