It’s sad when you remember as young kid when Tokyo’s still piled generous amounts of food onto a plate like they cared, but I’m sad to say that they are losing another previously lifelong customer due to a terrible customer service experience where I didn’t even feel respected. It was busy, however that does not excuse when a restaurant makes a mistake and if that happens to you they will not fix it. It’s already pricey enough with a forced tip which is fine when you actually get appropriate portions of food! I know what 7oz of chicken looks like from working restaurants. So let me ask you reading this ladies and Gents and decide for yourself. Would you pay 20bucks for this “7oz portion of chicken” when all you got was the chicken plate? Also yes I did not touch a single bit of the chicken until after I was rudely shunned away about it and took a photo I was rather hungry and the sides were fine but they will not have your back when they happen to be wrong and I can’t spend my money on a risk like that morally and it sucks because I really did love that place but it hurt me that they would treat someone as excited as I was that way. The dude cooking obviously forgot about me because I was behind him on the opposite table and he knew it too because he thought it was extra and didnt say a word after I mentioned it either and All I wanted a fair amount of chicken for the price:( So beware it sucked

The staff was great. Unfortunately, the food was subpar. The sauces were heavily diluted; the ginger dressing was mayo with a tiny hint of ginger. I could have lived with these if it weren't for the "yum yum" sauce, which apparently was also mayo. Everything off the grill tasted exactly the same, bland and boring. I would like to give this place a chance because the staff were so pleasant. I just won't waste money here.

The food was delicious, but it's 1 particular lady(I think she's the owner, definitely the manager) is extremely rude. The first time I went with a friend for a birthday dinner, she was mean and rude and we thought she was having a bad day. I went again 3 weeks after for a childs birthday and she was worse. Her attitude and demeanor was as if she didn't want us there. I will NEVER spend my money there again. Our experience would've been better if she didn't interact with the customers.

I read the reviews before I went and I think it is just a cultural barrier, but I found just communicating my wants everything was okay. It was a different experience the food was not bad, If I was invited to an event there I would go, but just to dine in because I wanted to grab a bite to eat no, not my scene.💜💜

visited summer 2022 A wonderful place to enjoy Hibachi, sushi, Korean, and other Asian foods. This place has a well decorated little rainforest entrance with a little bridge over a pond. They have a hibachi setup in the back, and a normal restaurant and bar in the front area. The sushi was good for the area, and it came in an awesome little sushi boat, with a functional rudder. The steamed crab dumplings were above average. The service was quick, efficient, and professional. Would go again.

No frills, no flavor, not coming back. Food took a very long time to prepare in the back, and we were the first table there. The chef must have been new or just didn’t care. He was very unorganized, slinging rice around everywhere, left large chunks of undercooked eggs in the rice, and didn’t put on any show or have any real personality whatsoever. It’s not like they were slammed and trying to catch up…we were the first and only table there. Food had zero flavor, and i didn’t have a lot of confidence in the chicken being cooked and they forgot to even serve to me, I told them not to worry about going to the back for more. Sauces were not very good. The yum yum was a thick mayo sauce, and everything else was watery and had almost no flavor, so there’s no point. Will not be back to this establishment. Seems good hibachi is hard to come by in Huntsville.

Wr had a party of about 25 people celebrating my daughter's graduating from high school. The food was good, but between two server's, one server was not very engaging during the preparation of our meal. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place for the quick and speedy service we received.

It’s sucked all the way around. They tried to charge us (2) people $46.00 for 6 or more people. No show at all. Small portion’s. Waitress(owner) was extremely rude by telling my wife she was eating too much. I lost it. I swear that these folks don’t need any Business because they are just wrong. $145.00 for 2 folks is way too much. Food sucked as does the Owners.

My family and I ate dinner at this restaurant for the first time last night to celebrate my niece 's birthday. The food, service and atmosphere we're great! The chefs we're fantastic! I applaud the job they do. The meat, veggies ard rice all had the same flavor. I loved it but would have liked some pineapples or something to give chicken a different taste. The salad was great and the soup wasn't bad either. The large portions were great and I was stuffed when I left.🙂 The prices were reasonable and the chef's tip is added into the ticket so there's no need to leave a tip on the table. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant for any smaller large group and the kids would love it too!

The food was decent, not like it used to be (better). The prices are ridiculously high and the entertainment is very much so lacking now. Prices raised, quality down. Also tried to sneak gratuity into the tip. Sad.

It was nice & quiet during my visit. The beef gyoza 🥟 were the best I've had from a restaurant! The sushi 🍣 was also fresh & delicious 😋 Welcoming host / waitress!

This place seems is on its last leg. But they try hard to please. Needs updated and has seen a better day. Didn't feel clean. But I'm sure it was. I could see rust on the stainless steel grill. Food was good though.

Don’t waste your money or time. Worse food! It smelled like body odor, the floors were really sticky, and everything was dirty (even the menus). The only good thing was our cook was really funny and entertaining. Still not worth the money.

Been going here for over ten years. Always love the food and the service. They will get you whatever you need and they will get it as fast as possible! The best clear soup and ginger salad I have had in Huntsville! Either get it to go or sit at a big table. Don’t know why this place doesn’t have more stars!

Definitely needs to be cleaner! Food was good! Osaka Fort Payne puts this place to shame! Only complaint is THEY NEED TO CLEAN BETTER

Waitress was extremely rude to us, she rolled her eyes and huffed/puffed. Our color spoke volume for her attitude towards us which is obscured when another race at the table agrees. When the manager was spoken to he said "We are short staffed and she's all we have." I then told him manners should be taught when application is due if that's the case. (We also were some of the first in the restaurant when they opened so it was not a good excuse to use) She came around the corner stating "I did not roll my eyes" when nobody was talking to her. Times are different but manners do not change. Will NOT be going back.

Teriyaki chicken dinner is always great. Fast service. Tried Sake for the first time and our waiter spent a a good amount of time with us giving us great suggestions.

Worst service( I felt being pushed, and drink was slow). Worst cashier( we had three people and got can’t remember 18% or 20% AUTO ADDED CHARGE on top of our normal price)<= that’s not including your normal tip. Food was not bad

Very good sushi and sashimi, hand made with an artistic flair, amazing cooking displays that produce delicious entrees; nice ambiance and a wonderful staff... all in all a great place for lunch or a special celebration. Why wait? Go now!

The chef put on a good show but the food was mediocre! It was my birthday so the staff wished me a happy birthday but surprisingly didn't offer me any dessert or anything! They put a 21 percent gratuity on the bill without our knowledge. We didn't know gratuity was going to be included at all and it was a very small receipt so we almost didn't notice it except the bill was higher than expected so I did the math and happened to see it then! They were irritated when we explained that 18 percent is what their menu said (after they told us that's where it states it) and we paid the chef's tip in cash so we wanted them to remove the additional 3% and the cash amount we already tipped! I think they must catch a lot of hell for misleading people with the gratuity so were very defensive when questioned!

Decent house sake. Friendly staff. Food was delicious, and the hibachi service was timed well as the meal proceeded. Excellent service with gentle reminders that rideshare or taxi is available if needed.

This is a longtime favorite restaurant! food has always been outstanding over the years but chefs and service have not. Last night was our 1st visit since Covid arrived and it was WONDERFUL they were spacing customers out at hibachis Server was quick and efficient! No one in our group ever had an empty glass.he also asked about food allergies before taking our orders James our chef put on a great show from the moment he walked out and cooked to food to perfection! He even divided the veggies while cooking to suit customer's preferences They were also diligent in quickly disinfecting each area between groups

Food was terrible- grisly steak and chicken, no effort in show, then proceeded to charge 27% gratuity on 5 people -one was a kid! No refills on the $3 tea that was more like water or water. Packed us in like sardines- not a pleasant experience

Things were fine, felt a little rushed at times, the selection for vegetarians has improved, and it is adequate. You must request however that they serve you your veggies first before they use the same utensil to prep the meat if you are with mixed multitude.

Came later on purpose to avoid the crowds there 5-8pm. Went to Hibachi table and had salmon and shrimp dinner. Miso soup and a small salad came with the dinner.....the dinner was the best I've had because of the chef. He clearly enjoyed cooking and it tasted better because of his fun while cooking! Highly recommended - great food, entertainment (and Saki) all in one place!
