Definitely worth a visit; a beautiful array of statues and memorials that is unexpected in an area like this... This memorial reminds me of the ones in DC. Incredible. Not a lot of parking, but it wasn’t busy when I went thankfully. I’d suggest parking down the road if it is.

In my travels, I try to stop by local parks dedicated to veterans. This particular one is just stunning. The honor and remembrance of the local Huntsville military who died in the line of duty is absolutely breathtaking. This park is a must to anyone in the area, and anyone passing through. As you walk thru the park, there is a great history of battles and wars through out our history, along with notations of the local Huntsville veterans. There is a lovely fountain, benches and paths. Hats off and Bravo Zulu to the folks who made this happen.

Spent some time there thinking of the veterans who fought in the wars before me. It was quiet and peaceful. It's worth it to go see it, it's free and informative. Plenty of parking there right in front.

It was during the veterans day and the parade was beautiful. Loved it. Grandkids git very restless but we enjoyed. We left early. I really want to thank all our veterans for all their services. God bless all of you and your family.

An extremely pleasant location for a walk. Lots of places to rest during a slow stroll. For those of us who want to get in our steps but really can't do them all at once it's great! Joins the Railroad Depot. Stopping at the different memorials allows you to read and learn during your rest stops.

I have to say this Memorial is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and I'm original from Baltimore (so I've been to DC a lot in my life) but have lived here for almost 20 years. Both my husband and I have served in the Marine Corps. He's a native Huntsvillian and has a brick dedicated to him from my mother. This Memorial really pays homage to all the Veterans here in Madison county and is very humbling. If you ever get a chance while paying through this beautiful city so and see it!

I’ve seen a number of Veteran Memorials across the country and without a doubt this is one of the better ones. I’m glad I was able to see it, as I was visiting from out of state to see a friend and this isn’t his kind of activity. I decided on my last day to check it out, just me. 100% worth it!!!!! When you approach they’re the statues and plaques dedicated to those who have served our country. Behind the statues is a short walking trail that leads to the Gold Star Memorial. It’s an informative trail, with first person narrative from various wars. This area is real peaceful. A great place to talk a break and reflect. The large Alabama and USA flag are also quite the sight! Definitely worth seeing when in Huntsville.

Huntsville has done some notable memorials in the past ten years with this and the Buffalo Soldiers among other's it's quite interesting and they've done an outstanding and very informative mention of all our service Men and Women in this very beautifully implemented honor of those that have laid down and come back in a very different way than they went. It's in the heart of the city where everything from parks food joints of every kind the Civic Center Motels and the monument it self will make your day. I really suggest that you take a peak as much more should be done for those that served our country. The only thing great about it is that we have more or had more freedom than other countries and these are dwendling daily , enjoy!!!...
