I’ve gone here for years. Have family who’s lived in the Valley and worked, gone here since the 60’s. I usually love this place. But tonight we had the WORST experience ever. When we walked in the bartender was too busy chatting with her friends at the bar to acknowledge us. We sat down, when she came over we ordered drinks. She forgot mine! she came back a few min later and took our food order, 2 star burgers. We sat there chatting amongst us and chilling. More people came in, a lady at the bar and a group of 4 who sat behind us. The lady at the bar got her to go order quick… no biggie, it was a single order. After about 45-50 min I went up to the bar to order another drink and place a Togo order for our kids. It took about 5 min for her to acknowledge me, and the cook took out 2 burgers as I stood there…thought they were ours…nope! Got our beer and sat back down, about 15 min later she came out with a bag with our Togo order. I asked here where our original order was….deer in the headlights look. She went to the kitchen and came back and told us it never made it to the kitchen. I told her to just make them Togo as well as we’ve been waiting over an hour. Ridiculous service! The owners need to hire people who care about the place more than their friends hanging out. This is a LOCAL place, the locals who’ve been around for years don’t care about the snotty youngsters coming from out of town. Take care of your customers over your friends. When we got home the burgers were raw!

Stepping into the shooting star saloon was like stepping into history.. this place has been here since 1879. It is one of the oldest running saloons in Utah. It survived the driest state in the US only because it never competed with upcoming bars and remained original. You still have to pay with cash, no big computer for receipt or anything, and all the decorations are still there since the 1960s. I only came for drinks, but burgers looked pretty rad too. So I will come again. You got to be 21 years or older to come here #history

Killer ambience and a must order 2 patty burger centered with kielbasa. I was called a “quitter” when I said no to the waitress for a second beer 🤣🤣

I liked the atmosphere of dining here. Cash only. It is very quiet and there is a nice back patio with fairy lights. There was a cat that lurked around as we ate. The star burger itself, is alright. The meat tasted fresh and a cool twist to include also some sausage/hotdogs in it. No French fries though. There is a selection of beers too. A nice visit to see the local scenery and visit somewhere historical.

Amazing, the shooting star saloon is one of the best kept secrets in Utah. There are only burgers and dogs which is really all you need anyway. This is the oldest running saloon west of the Mississippi and it’s existed in the driest states in the nation. I think it’s stayed in business by embodying the town it resides in.

Small town Shooting Star Bar. They have beer, soda, and some seltzers. Food is burgers and burgers. Great food, nice folks, lots to look at inside such a small space. Would definitely like to come back here!

The bar tender had a very negative vibe from the time we walked in the door. No greeting, no smiles and she acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She never checked on us. I don't know if we caught her on an off day but maybe the cook who was pleasant and friendly should be the bar tender. Pretty sure I won't be back.

A true old school bar with great atmosphere and great bar food. It's pretty small, so the wait for food can take a while. Keep in mind, they only serve beer, no liquor, and the food options are pretty limited.

I heard this place was good but even still I was impressed. The Star burger is a must have. It’s better than any of the fancy restaurant burgers in town and so reasonably priced. Beer is great too. It’s cash only, but as long as you know that it’s no issues. Everyone was very friendly.

I had to take a turn sitting in the barstool reserved for the "Stoker" family members while I was here! We did get the privilege of sitting in "Buck's" booth. Buck was a world record dog. There are stories you can find with a quick Google Search. Had a Star Burger and a Double Bacon Cheese along with some adult beverages. The food took a little longer than you would think considering they were burgers with a bag of chips - therefore the 4 stars. Ambiance was eclectic with all the graffiti in the bathrooms and the dollar bills all over the ceiling.

This was a great stop to eat after a few hours on causey reservoir. Fun to hear our waitress explain the history and story behind the saloon and she was fun to chat with and answer all our questions about the place. The food was pretty typical, we just had hamburgers and they filled the hole.

I can't rate the food because we did not eat anything. We were just out for the day & stopped in for a drink & game of pool. It's very cute, very, very small, but the people were very friendly. I would go back..

Not a large choice of menu items but the burgers were very good. Loved the atmosphere and the saloon mascot that the taxidermist helped live on.

What a historical food find, they have a limited hamburger menu only, However, that was such an amazing bacon cheeseburger. The customer service was spot on, the server was fun and gave us a the low down on the history of the saloon. I would totally recommend stopping in, it's a fun environment. Definitely stopping by when I visit Huntsville again.

Amazing burger, interesting history, and good service. My only complaint would be the lack of choice in sides. Only offers a bag of plain lays potato chips as the side with any burger or dog you buy so ultimately you are paying $8+ for a burger. It’s a dang good burger though but fries would be nice. As long as they’ve been around, it must work for them though so kudos to them for being the oldest, longest standing bar in Utah.

Came here while I was visiting a city nearby and the burger was pretty damn good. The place is decorated dope as hell. And my beer with the food was like 15$ helluva price , come grab a bite , only thing that sucks was no liquor

I cannot say enough how much I loved their pricing. It was so refreshing to be able to get a burger and a drink for $10. I was floored I was so happy. The burger itself was also delicious! Well cooked and juicy. The service was great and the bar had a fun ambiance with creative decorations. It’s also apparently the oldest bar west of the Mississippi! Fun!

Fantastic hometown saloon. Good burgers, good environment to hang out, play some pool, etc. This place is cash only, but a small atm is available. Also being a bar, an id is required.
