The sushi here is amazing and the staff is incredible! Kim is a riot! I have *never* had a bad sushi roll here. I only wish they stayed open later because oftentimes I go with my friends when they get off work. Wasabi roll, sashimi, Ahoyama roll... So many good ones here. After ten years, this is still my favorite spot for sushi. Consistently amazing quality and flavor every time.

Everything is fresh. Even the crab salad California roll is made with real crab, not imitation. Lunch is a bargain here. Ordered the sushi and sashimi bento which also includes miso soup and salad, served generously and almost a lunch on its own.

Definitely some of the best sushi / sashimi that I've ever had in my entire life. The tempura vegetables and shrimp were also easily the best in between all of the places I've tried in Dallas or Houston. If you're reading this PLEASE do yourself a favor and try them because the batter is close to perfect. Customer service was top notch and we felt well taken care of. Also really appreciate how this place is ensuring the safety of their staff and customers.

We absolutely love their rolls! Whenever we want some sushi, we go here for a takeaway. Normally we get between two or three rolls for the two of us. The ingredients are super fresh and very tasty, with a super friendly service. Best sushi place in the neighbourhood and beyond.

This is great place to take the family. Everything was fantastic. I don't normally like salads but I loved their house salad. Place was clean, service was fast and friendly, and they had the Guardians of the Galaxy playlist going.

My first time dining here. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the service was very fast. I ordered a cucumber salad, the stuffed mushroom appetizer, and the California roll. The cucumber salad came with shredded crab mixed in, and the dressing tangy sweet but with a little spicy kick on the back end. If you order the stuffed mushroom appetizer, I recommend sharing it with others as it is a good sized appetizer. This place has relaxing interior decor, so I never felt rushed to dine and run. The food was great, and the portions were pretty large. My only complaint is that the staff was a little over attentive - we were trying to have a conversation and kept getting interrupted every couple of minutes with a "how is everything", even when we were clearly in the middle of a discussion. But the food was worth coming back for!

This is a great place to have dinner at. Sushi rolls are fresh and very delicious. Very reasonsbly priced too. The servers are polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful.

I love Ahoyama. The sushi is fresh and has great marbling. Also given the quality, the price is so good. The service is spectacular and even though the place gets quite busy, the food comes out quite quickly. If it's your first time I'd recommend the sushi and sashimi bento box. Has a ton of food and really gives you a good sampler of the fresh fish options they got going on. It also comes with a salad and miso soup which are both good. Note that this place has limited alcohol options but regardless is fantastic.

Love, love, love this gem of a local restaurant! The food is always fresh and expertly prepared. The prices are also good for the quality of food they provide. Take out food we have ordered in the past was really good, too.

I really enjoyed the experience and the food. I had of course a California roll with chicken fried rice separately and then got to try a few other rolls from the people I was with. Definitely worth a visit.

It had no flavor and was not enjoyable to eat. I think the others in my party might have enjoyed their food, but I sadly didn’t.

Delicious little spot we found!! We tried the Hawaiian Roll (SO GOOD, ponzu was delicious), Salmon Skin, Crispy Rice with spicy tuna, and some nigiri. The nigiri was absolutely amazing. We tried the spicy scallop, peppercorn tuna, mackerel, and freshwater eel. Atmosphere was cute, a darker ambiance, which I loved. Server was attentive and didn’t forget our extra sauces which was a nice touch as always.

Been going here weekly for years. Best sushi around never had a bad experience. They do get extremely busy sometimes but food is always fresh.

Classic Japanese sushi restaurant with excellent flavor and freshness. I just returned from Japan and this lovely place took me right back there. The atmosphere was just like you'd find in the old country. Even the sencha green tea was perfectly brewed.

We started with the stuffed mushrooms. Awesome! I had the teriyaki chicken bento box. Really Good! And so much food. My wife had the shrimp and veggie tempura. After the appetizer, salad, miso soup she had to take half of it to go. Excellent service!!!

I ordered the yakisoba and it had Nooooooo flavor whatsoever. Maybe it’s because all of the sauce dropped outside of the bag? Idk but it was also cold even though we got there when they told us the food would be ready. The sushi was ugly but my boyfriend liked it. We won’t be back since it was mediocre.

Don't order like you would at a normal sushi place - this is the most americanized and super sized sushi I've ever seen. It's not a bad thing, just set expectations accordingly. Nigiri pieces were HUGE, 3x the size I'm used to. When you order a roll, the maki themselves only played a modest part in a massive, overflowing entree option. Overall it was a fresh take on sushi. There is quality sacrificed for quantity but you get a lot for your money.

I moved an hour away to Mesquite, and I will drive from the other side of Dallas when I want sushi. I pretty much only eat sushi from this place and it has never ever disappointed. Love Ahoyama!!!

Wife and I eat here kinda often. Food is always fantastic. They will not tell us what the house salad dressing is made out of. It's amazing.

The restaurant was very clean and the staff very friendly. The girl running the to-go/delivery area really looked like she could use some help though. HELP HER, GUYS!
