Went around 8pm and no wait to be seated. Customer service was great and helpful! It was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The restaurant is beautiful inside and nicely decorated. The atmosphere is relaxing and the lighting it dimmed. Great place to have a date! The food was delicious! My favorite was the sour cream chicken enchiladas! The prices are affordable for the portion sizes. There's even a lower calorie options for anyone looking for that. We will definitely be back!

Tonight I chose Abuelos as my self care date night and I was extremely HaApPY. I asked for a booth for 1 which was well received by the host staff. I had a nice booth with a wonderful waitress that was extremely attentive and kind. The bussers and other wait staff were cleaning up from a party and they were having a wonderful conversation with laughter, great crew. Hats off to that kitchen crew, they made my experience complete with that deliciousness. My food was fresh and oven hot, I really enjoyed my drink the ElJefe, that drink was everything great about life. I can't wait for another PaAyYDaAyY to go back there.... And I got dessert!!! Eat and Drink it all Y'all!!!

I can see why it’s so highly rated, love the atmosphere as well as the food. The waiter was on point and i love that the pricing is also very affordable!

We stopped in Abuelo's for dinner while in town for a seminar and we're so glad we did. The restaurant was welcoming, clean, and nicely decorated. They were busy so we had to wait a few minutes, but there was plenty comfortable seating to relax during the wait. Our server was friendly, attentive, and prompt to bring a delicious variety salsa tray with fresh chips and perfectly sweetened tea. We weren't sure what to order from the wide variety menu, but there may not have been a bad choice because all of our food was absolutely delicious! From the tacos, to the enchiladas (we tried several different kinds, and they were all great) to the papas con salsa. The steak I ordered with my enchiladas was cooked perfectly medium, full of flavor, juicy, and fork tender. SO GOOD! We eat a lot of "Mexican" food, and this is one of the best we've tried in a long time. I look forward to visiting again the next time we're in town!

Oh gosh, it was awesome from the hostess to the food, the waitresses. The building was beautiful decorated and the atmosphere was very tranquil. About the meal. Australian Sea Bass with Guerrero Sauce, it was to die for. It was very, very, delicious. I could order this meal every day. Hats off to the chef!!! I highly recommend Abuelo's!!!

VERY good!!! Tonight our waitress was Chandra and she did amazing! From the moment we walked in the hostess was very friendly down to leaving and stomach fully satisfied! We traveled to age as this week and Chandra made sure to make us feel welcomed as well as held some good conversation :) The food was delicious and the margarita was perfect! 😋 Nice and clean with not too much going on very well kept and with good vibes. Will return ❤️

Stopped by with a co-worker on a weeknight. Pretty busy. We sat at the bar. Had mi abuelo's manjar and the other had chicken/shrimp fajitas. Both very good. Chips with three salsas also very good. I'd return anytime.

Food was good but service was not I got two orders of chips before I even got my water food took a little long but it wasent to bad and I recived dirty silverware so overall food good service not.

Absolutely love this place, the food is great and hot when it comes to the table. Many different drinks are available for those who want to have something special with the meal. Food is very tasty. Chips and salsa are brought to the table immediately,non stop refills. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about food and drinks. Ask a question about any item or make it your own way, they don't mind taking the time to do it your way. Many thanks to all who work at Abuelo's for the great food and drinks that I experience every time I go.

Tonight was not a good experience. Everyone was ready to go home at 8:30. We had the long haired Spanish waiter with the black nails. He only took the order and brought food. We had to get our own drinks. Today is 9/24/2022 The manager I think was the blonde haired and I asked her if she was ready to go home and she said yep. Terrible and we spent $150.00

Dirty silverware, the food is not good any longer! Pre Covid is the excuse everyone is using! Will not be back! Used to go to the Hulen location twice a week and never had this type of horrible food or bad service

I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great,and the food was delicious. I had the grande burrito and for dessert i had flan. I highly recommend this place. We got there a bit before the evening rush. We did have to wait but not that long.

I got the Fajita Steak Chimichanga to go. I requested no queso, no sour cream and no beans. And it was perfect! Very delicious, they kept it the way I asked. The crust was super light and crispy and flaky. The steak inside was so juicy and soft and flavorful. They remembered to throw in some utensils, included warm chips and salsa and a very nice mint for after. Best takeout meal I've had in a long time. I would definitely order from here again!

As a mexican, I feel that this food is not authentic. It has more of a tex mex menu. Disappointed. And it’s on the higher end. Dinner for 2 was $80

We ordered catering from the Hurst location, and from start to finish, everything was excellent. I always spoke with either Bob or Andy on the phone and they were both very nice and went out of their way to make sure I was ordering the right amount of food for the number of guests I anticipated. I really appreciated that Bob called the day before to finalize and double check the order. Pick up was super easy and everything was packaged nicely. At the party, so many people were asking where was the food from because it was so good. People were going up for seconds and thirds! We really appreciated everything and we will definitely be using them again! Thank you!

Our party of three dined in at this Hurst location. It was lunchtime on Friday, we didn't have to wait but a few minutes to be seated. Then greeter wasn't at the stand, but as she walked up she was quick to welcome us to Abuelo's and apologized for any wait time. Our server was prompt to greet us, take and bring out our drink order. She was attentive to our refills. Her tableside service was friendly and polite. We received the customary chips and triple dish of three different salsas. We only ordered the chicken fajitas to share. The food was prepared exactly as ordered and it was delicious, hot and fresh. We shared a dinner portion of chicken fajitas with extra cooked and caramelized onions. Oh, yeah, it was tasty! Upon our exit, the door greeter said "thank you" and wished us a good day. We had a positive and enjoyable experience.

One of my top 2 favorite Mexican restaurants. They have 3 salsas they bring out in a tiny dish but if you are like me, you can ask for big boy size bowls 😆. The regular salsa is decent and mild, the tomatillo Verde salsa is excellent. A little sweet (they use pineapple), and the "hot" isn't that hot but it is delicious. Fire roasted and has a nice building heat. They also have a habanero sauce that is thin and really good but it has a back of the throat kick. Excellent when added to sour cream if you need to calm it a little. The Nachos were big and delicious. More of half tostadas than regular nacho chips. Not a big pile of nachos but more of individually made ones. The shredded beef burrito (Durango) was absolutely delicious. It was just a lot smaller than I expected, I honestly thought they brought me out an enchilada. The chicken enchilada was also good and had a sour cream sauce on top. Goes great with the tomatillo salsa. The beans and rice were good, the charro beans were decent but nothing special about either of them. All in all just really good food. Service was excellent, very helpful and nice and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing.

Overall the last experience I had here was disappointing! We were seated and our server was slow to come to the table was not very friendly, one of the orders were brought out completely wrong and the management tried to argue with a person in my party about their order, they brought them cold lifeless shrimp which was supposed to be fire grilled shrimp which clearly look like they just got it out of the warmer and threw it on the pass bar! If you don't reiterate your management and update your staff and quite frankly educate your Cooks on how to execute menu items correctly and you're going to lose a lot of business from your local customers

Jennifer was a wonderful server. This was our first time to eat at Abuelos. She explained the sauces that she served with the chips and even offered us a hotter sauce. She made sure she kept our drinks refilled and served our food hot. I couldn't make up my mind, so I ordered the Grande meal. Lots of food! I took quite a bit of it home. My husband had fajitas and loved them. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Never disappointed here, the Flan is one of my Local favorites.Lunch Menu is reasonable

I had the enchiladas with Carne Asada sauce. It was superb. The sauce was just the right level of spices and full of flavor. The rice was perfect as always.
