Typical
outstate
MN
(read
Ole
and
Lena's
version)
of
a
Midwestern
Mexican
food
place.
Cartoonish
but
cheerful
colors
on
every
wall
made
me
wonder
if
they
went
to
a
paint
sale
and
bought
half
cans
of
every
color.
The
decor
was
a
mish
mash
of
everything
thought
to
be
Mexican
looking,
but
not
quite
hitting
it
on
the
head,
again
cartoonish.
Hang
some
pinatas
for
heaven
sakes
get
a
sombrero
or
two
a
Mexican
flag
would
not
be
out
of
place
here!
Bland
food.
Everything
out
of
a
tub,
Industrial
sized
can,
or
plastic
bag.
From
the
pre-meal
saltless
chips
and
diluted
salsa
that
tasted
old
and
plastic,
to
the
hot
untouchable
plated
lunch
meal.
I
had
the
Lunch
combo
#4
advertised
to
have
two
steak
burritos,
(seasoned
ground
beef...
not
steak
pieces)
rice,
beans,
and
sour
cream,
lettuce
and
pico
de
gallo
sauce,
and
guacamole'.
Looked
tasty
in
a
satisfactory
colorful
plating
That's
pretty
much
what
I
got
except
the
guacamole
was
thin,
diluted
and
just
a
hint,
not
even
a
real
garnish
maybe
like
half
a
teaspoonful,
lettuce
and
sauce,
with
a
huge
blob
of
sour
cream.
The
beans
were
pretty
standard
mush
with
the
requisite
sprinkle
of
cheese
and
dribble
of
red
sauce,
the
rice
was
a
version
of
fried
rice
with
ugly
canned
peas
in
it.
Wrong
restaurant!
Who
puts
peas
in
a
Mexican
rice?!
My
Mexican
Grandma
sure
didn't.
Save
that
for
the
Chinese
food
place
down
the
street.
Well
maybe
I
can
forgive
this
place
for
being
open
during
the
covid
pandemic
and
will
return
when
the
current
stock
of
old
food
runs
out
and
fresh
food
is
brought
in...
Big
place
though
so
if
you're
not
to
concerned
with
authenticity
in
decor
or
food
you
can
enjoy
a
big
party
venue.
The
wait
staff
of
one
beautiful,
young
lady
named
Leila,
was
cheerful,
helpful,
and
efficient.
