Came to stay for a funeral, young lady behind desk is very polite, we booked for 2 adults 1 kid. The room was spacious 2 beds and everything was clean. We did need to make a call for extra stuff as we were a party of 3 not 2 but the reception lady did come within minutes to provide us with what we needed. Only downside is we came out thenext morning to the car next to us having being broken into.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now this year. 5 nights in total. The staff are so friendly and the rooms are always really well presented and clean. Beds are so comfy. A 20 minute drive from Liverpool, free parking and a lovely pub right next door which also has really nice staff.

Stayed here for 1 night prior to Broadgreen Hospital for surgery. 7 min drive away. Read reviews prior to booking as wasn't disappointed Sat outside in the garden prior to having an evening meal here with the special offer of evening meal and breakfast. Menu didn't state what food and drinks were included in the meal deal but staff were very helpful, the restaurant was very busy on a Mon evening so advised to book. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a premier Inn...you get what you expect. Rooms good, but no air con and get too hot in those few hot days we have. Most staff excellent...a couple of jobsworths, but you get that anywhere Bar is good as a bar, but evening meals are limited...feels like they are understaffed? Staff very friendly. If you're there for more than one night, try the pub opposite Stanley arms. Cheap and cheerful but very friendly landlord. Further down the hill, try eating at Flavios...Italian built into old petrol station.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The manager the bar and restaurant were amazing. Some who were still there from our previous visit and remembered us. The staff is definitely a credit to this Hotel....They took the time to ask us how we are and did we need anything. Room and location great. BUT HAVE TO SAY WHAT MADE IT FROM ME WAS THE STAFF

super helpful staff, brilliant location not too far from the city centre with a train station a stone's throw away. I had a lot of luggage and the staff helped me get it to my room which was greatly appreciated! special mention to Paige, Morgan and Francesca who really went above and beyond, will be staying there again! x

Not a bad hotel. Rooms starting to look like a refurbishment is due. Staff were all very pleasant. Breakfast is a mix of buffet for cold stuff and delivered to your table hot stuff. City centre is 25 minutes away.

We've stayed at a lot of Premier Inns, but this one stood out somehow. In terms of rooms, it is a Premier Inn, so you know what to expect. Its location is in a leafy, picturesque part of Liverpool, with very good access to Roby station (15 minutes to Lime Street). Service couldn't have been better. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering advice and guidance where needed. They really made us feel welcome. Overall, a great place to stay.

Stayed for a few nights here, the room was clean and had a nice view. Thankfully had Wi-Fi signal and 4G signal, almost no phone service though to call on. It can be a bit noisy in the hallway and upstairs rooms but that's probably a given with any hotel. It's a 5 minute walking distance to the rail station. The breakfast was great, lovely servers though maybe a little understaffed because there was only 1 or 2 people, but there was plenty of Continental food available and they give you a lot of cooked food on the plate. My only complaint would be when checking in, the lady we had didn't seem very friendly and forgot to give us the Wi-Fi code we paid for. Otherwise everyone else on staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed here because of the location and value. It was a block and a half to the trash n station to go into central Liverpool which allowed us to visit the area around Mathew Street and then the Nautical museum down by the water. The room was clean, the service in the bar and restaurant was solid and made our brief time enjoyable. If in the area again, we would stay here.

Usual good quality Bed and refurbed room. But 27°C at night and it cost over £150 for one night.

Reception staff nice and friendly, booked us in straightaway. Room clean and aired. Eat at Derby Lodge restaurant and service excellent, despite being busy. Good night sleep, even with room being near lift, didn't hear a thing. Thanks everyone.

Excellent location with excellent food and service with a smile. You literally can't go wrong, so book your table to avoid any wait or disappointment!! Great food at great prices as well as being part of the excellent Premier Inn brand. You know you're in great hands and especially at this location. The Reviewer

I was given Room 3. It smelt of damp and I found damp and peeling paint on the walls. A health hazard and the staff said they were unaware of it. Really? I left and went somewhere much better. Disgusting!!!

Great location off Motorway and near Liverpool. But very quiet as set back off main road and surrounded by trees. Big family room.

Mis-represented breakfast and poor caffeine free options stopped our stay being perfect. I should say that overall this was a pretty good stay. I've given them 4 stars after all. I'll start with the good things. The room was clean and well presented. There was tea and coffee in the room with a mini kettle. There were cost hangers, a hair drier, a chair, a bin, a TV, a desk, bedside tables, lamps. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with body gel provided. Towels were clean and folded nicely. A generally well presented room. Downstairs was a restaurant and bar. We had breakfast. The hot stuff was well cooked and tasty. Not the best in the world but far from the worst. The cold selection was about average. Some fruit, yoghurts, cereal, pastries, drinks, etc. Prices seemed reasonable for food and staff were pretty friendly. There were only really a couple of negatives for me. I avoid caffeine as it gives me headaches. But there wasn't decaf tea in the room and the coffee machine did lattes but not decaf lattes. This stopped me having tea in our room and coffee with my breakfast. They had vegan sausages and bacon, but no good decaf options. The only other down was that for me the breakfast was mis-sold. It was sold as all-you-can-eat hot breakfast. And that's true to an extent. But it's table service, not a buffet, and ours took 40 minutes to arrive. When I finished my plate of hot breakfast I was still a tad hungry. Normally I'd just head back to the buffet for one more sausage and one more hashbrown. That could be collected and eaten in 5 minutes. But knowing I might face another 40 minute wait? That stops me having any more. Which kind of takes the all-you-can-eat part and spoils it a bit for me. That, with no good decaf options, is enough for me to take a star off. Our room (41) also had a dodgy shower door that didn't stay closed. It was on rollers and just rolled open again. This is by no means a bad hotel. It was a nice stay and I might even stay here again. But it could be improved with some slight changes!

Premier Inn first, rooms are a bit small, the bathroom is tiny, smallest I've ever seen in a Premier Inn, decent mobile signal and quiet however, the attached pub...... Food was good but very poor service and sat me in a corner so dark that I had to use my phones torch to read the menu. I'd stay at the Premier Inn again but doubt I'd use the restaurant again.

The nicest premier Inn I’ve stayed inn , so clean and the rooms are so big and spotless clean ! I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels and they wouldn’t compare to this premier inn … very welcoming staff and so very helpful when we arrived .

Always stay here when I'm up but I don't like the fact you have to pay £10 extra for early check in !! I was 7 mins before 15.00pm they were going to charge me £10

I booked two rooms for friends that were coming up and this review is based on what they told me. Location is great, right near Roby station! And the lady in reception was great. However for a premiere inn, the set up was more Travelodge. One room had no shower gel and the hair dried had an electrical fault and USB chargers didn't work on one side of the bed (room 11). The other room had leaky windows and moth eaten curtains (think it was 46). Both rooms had issues with shower temperature, where once it got hot it was just hot... No other temp. I was told the actual beds themselves were great though, so there's that. They did sleep soundly :)

A beautiful haven in a town next to the Roby station. The property looks very rustic and the view from rooms are pretty fabulous, specially the one's overlooking the garden. Their Table Table restaurant offers a wide variety of British cuisine and the service is top notch. Look out for Agi, Colin, Francesca and Jacob. They definitely deserve a rave!

  • 5/5 Richard K. 6 months ago on Google
Great service to allow an early check-in as quickly as they good. All staff were friendly. Such a contrast to the disappointment of the restaurant attached.

Visited today, room was tired, paint flaking off in bathroom, only two sugars on tray. Bedside light not working, small bath only big enough for a hobbit. Went next door to the pub for a drink before checking in at 3pm the Derby Lodge, two young waitresses with an attitude, place was empty and we was told where to sit, couldn't sit at a table with just a drink said the dark haired one. The blond one had a terrible attitude, dirty looks and practically threw the bowl of chips across the table, no thank you smile or anything, when reported to the manager we had no apology from the girl or anything so we took our evening meal business up the road to another restaurant! We told Premier Inn and they didn't seem to care either. Shocking customer service from both places. No response from this review will be appreciated or justified. What you going to do about our terrible experience and stay Premier Inn?? We travelled two and a half hour to stay at your hotel.

As you would expect from a Premier inn. The food was nice in the evening and a nice breakfast the following morning. This also has a huge beer garden to enjoy on sunny days.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone ! I had the worst night sleep during my stay. Room was not properly clean, shower didn't even work everything was so unprofessional. I expected better standards for a Premier Inn. This branch really needs to improve the service they provided. Will definitely not be stopping there again.

This is definitely the Best Premier Inn I have stayed at, and I have been in a few. The rooms, the views, the staff, the breakfast can't fault. Loved it.

Stayed here while attending a wedding in Liverpool. Was a short visit, went to the room late at night and left early the next morning to travel home. Was not a bad experience.

This is a quiet comfy hotel. It is just a short trip by train to the centre of Liverpool. The station is just a short walk away from the hotel.

Nice hotel, restaurant on site and two pubs within walking distance down the road. 12 mins by train into Liverpool from Roby train station which is a 5 min walk. Found it better than staying in the city with expensive parking. Will use again.

  • 4/5 Sarah S. 10 months ago on Google
Lovely building and gardens. Great location for the train into Liverpool. 5mins walk and approx 15mins by train. Staff were welcoming. Breakfast was hot and served to the table. But you could pick what you wanted and how much. Couldn't complain. Marked down because the rooms were boiling hot, no air con in an older building, but windows don't open wide for safety reasons! Didn't sleep well at all. I think they might have provided fans but this wasn't advertised and we went to 6 shops to find one without success! It was the heatwave part of the summer! 🙈🤷‍♀️

Had a nice stay, booked a few days before so got the last room (Room 1) which is a bit noisy as it's close to the corridor entrance (so you hear the entrance door every time it's opened). Can't complain for the price, haven't ever gone wrong with a premier Inn.

This is a beautiful hotel. I had a great stay. Rooms very clean, smart looking. All staff at the desk, cleaners and especially in the restaurant/bar. As a Vegan I can definitely recommend, as had some great choices.

This so far has been one of the best Premier Inns that i have stayed in. The rooms are as you would expect, clean, tidy, well presented. The overall Hotel is lovely, the building is an old lovely piece of achitecture. The staff on the front desk were lovely and very helpful. We are here for another night and have yet to have the breakfast, which i am epecting to have no issues with, however if this changes i will update this post or leave another review.

Lovely setting, convenient for train to Liverpool. Ex nurses home with plenty of character. Room we had 53, looked into flat roof and bed was tucked into dark corner. Staff friendly and helpful. Food up to expected standard.

  • 3/5 Mike E. 1 year ago on Google
First thing is the staff ( all of them ) were fantastic so helpful can't praise them enough , the room was ok but the bed wasn't very good . comfy I don't think so and no fridge or air con . I need a power point by the bed and there isn't one , never stayed in a place without one before .......asked at reception and a extension lead was brought to the room , which was great although a bit dangerous in the night going to the toilet . We had a two night stay , breakfast was in the adjacent Table table and wasn't the best the first morning and got a bit better the second day and it also closed at 11pm ! 5 stars for the staff !

This is a good hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was booked in on two separate bookings that meant moving rooms, however they managed to adjust my booking that meant I could stay in the same room for the whole of my stay. I would definitely recommend and will return.

Greatly exceeded my expectations. A wonderful place to stay. When I came back to Liverpool a week later I stayed here again. Simple, clean and comfortable. Can’t ask for much more. It was perfect.
