    Don't trust Google maps. Just park across from the park and walk down. A nice little garden and beautiful blue waterfall.

    Due to jet lag, I did a pre-dawn walk around Hveragerdi and accidentally stumbled onto the Reykjafoss Waterfalls. This very pretty little set of falls was easily accessible and had walking paths (or a sort) running up and down the valley. There are parks nearby for picnicking and relatively gentle waters. Well worth a visit in you are staying in town.

    Wonderful path by the river. Perfect for family with their youngest. Park and bench right next to the waterfall, nice for picnic.

    Pretty little waterfall that you can see in town! It’s flowing pretty hard and you can get super close to the waterfall as well. You can view it from up top or on the ground.

    Beautiful place. A lovely small town just outside Reykjavik (40 mins drive). Cool mountain to climb near by and natural heated spa pools.
