Great pub! Stayed at the Phoenix Park Hotel attached so it was convenient to come down and eat. Ate here twice during our stay. Loved the brussel sprouts and Irish reuben. Chicken pot pie was good too with gigantic chunks of chicken in it, although it was a tad bit salty. Service was great and they had live music both nights (Friday and Sunday).

AMAZING SERVICE!!! Food was ok, but the service was amazing. So friendly. So fast. So responsive. I actually left my sunglasses and someone ran them out to me!!! The French fries are AMAZINGGGGGG, but the rest of the food was just ok. Fish and chips, fish ok. Burger, ehh. I ordered the burger medium and it was well done. Probably a great spot for drinks and snacks, but wouldn’t go for lunch again. For drinks and French fries, YES!

Great place! The food is tasty and flavorful. The portions are big. The decoration is amazing. The waiters are attentive and can give you tips on how to navigate your way around the city. You can sit down, relax, and enjoy your food while listening to some beautiful Irish songs.

Classic Irish pub serving delectable, traditional Irish food and alcohol. They're well known for their shepherd's pie and Guinness burger, both of which are delicious and filling. I was drawn to their wide selection of drinks and would recommend their Tipperary Orchard. In general, the vibes at the restaurant are incredible and remind me of Ireland.

An Irish pub located at a walking distance from Union Station. We've been there with some friends and had a good experience overall. A good variety of beers, and a few of juices. The food we've had was good - the Chicken BLT was a good surprise.

This is a serious Irish pub. World class in the heat of DC. WHENEVER you hear real Irish accents and see rugby on the TV, you know it's legitimate. There decor is amazingly Irish. The people are friendly, and the location is great. Had potato soup and I really desperately want more! I will be returning.

I have never had a sublime turkey burger until I went here. Half a pound patties on toasted brioche buns with a side of thick cut fries. Great spot to hit a spot for pub food. The fries were a tad overly seasoned for my taste but I was thoroughly impressed by the burger of the day and the bison burger. Okay service. Restaurant is connected to a hotel in the back. Outdoor patio seating available. Nice atmosphere even though music was a bit too loud at times to converse.

Food was amazing. Staff seated is immediately. Great atmosphere, full restaurant but wasn't too loud. Had live entertainment. Must stop and experience. Can't wait to come back.

If I lived in Washington, this would be a regular place for me. The atmosphere was great, food excellent and the service on point. It has a great pub feel.

Visiting from Pittsburgh and went off on a recommendation. Nice place, had live music the night we went, good atmosphere and not too loud. Impressed with both the shepherds pie and chicken pot pie. Filling and delicious.I was not let down by the Dubliner Whiskey highly recommend at least a little taste. So far my favorite restaurant of my vacation.

The Dubliner Restaurant is a fantastic Irish Pub. The place is large and has tons of seating in smaller, cozy rooms, including outdoor seating and an enclosed patio (well, since it was hot, the windows were closed). The rooms are pretty authentic and are really well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, and service was pretty quick. The menu has plenty of beer, whiskey, cocktail and food choices; including being the very first place to serve Kilkenny Cream Ale (which is a nitrogen pour, and super smooth!). The food was great - and next time we're in DC, we'll definitely hit this place again! Highly recommended!

Stayed at the hotel upstairs, ordered chicken pot pie for take out. Employees aren’t very welcoming, and out the receipt in something wet on the bar. The pot pie was inedible and I threw it away. The bread too crusty and flavorless, the sauce incredibly salty and chicken pieces way too large. For breakfast one day I walked in and no greeting, no clear information on whether to wait to sit or just sit. When I did get someone’s attention the service was slow, my order was missing the powdered sugar and strawberries that I said yes I wanted when asked, burnt and no butter, but I was in a hurry to get to work. I ate half because I didn’t have time for anything else. The second breakfast order I did take out which was at least correct. I can’t recommend this restaurant, even though breakfast was included in my room rate, I skipped the rest of the week.

If you want a good traditional Irish bar in DC, you’ll find it at this 50 year old pub! I’ve been in DC all my life but don’t come here often enough. You can’t beat an Irish pub and this place has history. I just had a burger with fries that was delicious. You can get lots of traditional food & plenty of spirits. I’ll come back for the fish & chips and corn beef. Joe at the bar is very attentive like a good bartender should be. I decided to try the apple pie ala mode and it was good but not amazing. I’ll be back soon for some shepherds pie, corn beef & cabbage…lots to choose from.

From out of town and the Dubliner was our choice for dinner one night as it was close to our hotel. The service was meh, the place was quaint. The menu is small; however fish & chips were an option, I asked the waiter for his opinion between that and the Irish beef stew. He immediately said fish & chips. Three small strips of dry fish lightly breaded and lacking flavor, at least the fries were good, as was the pickle. I couldn't imagine what the stew was like if the fish was a better option. The salmon pastrami was said to be "ok" by my hubby. For the price of the food and the quality, it wasn't worth it to us, as we have enjoyed Irish pubs and this place doesn't hold a candle to any of them.

Had a delicious 'Capitol Hill Burger' for dinner one night and I can't complain about it. The staff were so friendly. The only issue you might have with the place is that it can get quite loud inside during the evening due to large groups of friends having a good time (can't blame them) in addition to the occasional live music performances. Personally I enjoyed the bustling atmosphere. 4 stars.

Chicken pie was good. Hamburger mediocre. Service very efficient, and fast up to the extent you got the feeling you're in a fast food restaurant. We had a drink in the bar where there was live music. Very nice. Overall this place is too crowded for me, losing atmosphere. Realize this is a personal opinion, and shouldn't stop others to try out this place.

The quintessential Irish pub. It's no wonder that Irish dignitaries visit when in the US. It's broken up in such a way that it is rich, warm, and inviting. The primary bar it's small and cozy and pours absolutely perfect Guinness pint. The pub fare is excellent my Ruben was amazing. I would definitely recommend taking some time to come here.

Great food. Great music from Pat. Lovely atmosphere all round. Portions are giant. Had an appetiser each, and then could barely finish the main each. Really good overall

Incredible experience. The staff was extremely accommodating, saw the manager help a family out and merge several tables together for a family reunion even though it was clear that was not the norm. We only had an hour to catch our train and they rushed the order in the kitchen. Food was simply divine, service was amazing, staff lovely, and the prices right. Would have labeled this as 2 $$, updated menu attached (their website was incorrect), but otherwise simply lovely!

Been here several times and will still go. Ambiance is wonderful and the employees are great. Most of the food has been great but today my Fish and Chips obviously where pre-made and had that Lovely freezer burn taste. For $23 before tax and tip I expect a decent meal.

Breakfast was great. Salmon bagel with all the fixings. Poor server was trying her best to handle the whole shop by herself. Hope she can get some help. Delicious.

Decent menu, good quality food, worth going again. Service was lackluster, possibly an element of understaffed but the place was nearly empty on a Friday afternoon 1pm. Greek salad with salmon was enjoyed. Philly cheesesteak about average. Cold beers. Nice outdoor seating view. Not first choice but would return.

Great place, and of course what do you order at an Irish Resturant? Fish & Chips and it was probably the best I have ever had. Some of my coworkers were Shepherd Pie fans and a couple others were more traditional and had a Chicken Sandwich. The common theme was everyone was happy with their meal. Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant.

This place was great! Very fast service. My partner and I had to catch a train in an hour and mentioned this to the waiter - as we were prepared to get the food "to go" if needed. The waiter assured us they could easily have everything out in 10 minutes - and they weren't kidding. My partner and I were able to sit down and relax, even have a drink. The artichoke dip was the bomb! Seemed like a bunch of regulars also come here and they have many different options for seating. If you don't want to eat at the sketchy food places in the station, would recommend simply walking down the street to this pub!

Had a nice dinner here before catching a train at Union. Service was quick and friendly, food was great and the portions were large. Overall a great experience.

It’s a DC classic for a reason. It’s charming and has that local feel, even though it’s popular with tourists. I have many memories at the Dubliner and always recommend the Shepard’s Pie and Corned Beef. It’s reasonably priced for DC (main dishes from around 16-25). Even better? Stay at the attached Phoenix Park hotel and you can smell the corned beef in the morning.

Great Irish pub! Great Irish meals (and Philly cheese steak), Irish (live) music, Irish waiter, lots of Irish beers and whiskies. Waiter looked well after us, and the kids even got their own table to play AmericanOpoly. If you don’t believe, ask Barak…. Watch out: there is already a 20% gratuity on their bills!

Great restaurant. We stayed at the Phoenix Park Hotel - which is attached to it on the ground floor. Very convenient to get a late dinner. Shepherd's pie, brussel sprouts, stew, and fish and chips were all amazing

Great local choice. Fabulous service and really great food. When in an Irish spot, must have the fish and chips. Seasoned fries- yum. Sooo good, highly recommend. Pretzel stix appetizer delish. Nice kids options too 👌 🌭 🍟

My best friend and I were super excited to try this Irish pub while in D.C. for a concert. Unfortunately, the experience was lacking. We were greeted by the host upon arrival. He was very personable and made us feel welcomed. Unfortunately, our server Jay B was not. He wasn't personable, seemed rather aggravated we were there and rarely checked in on us. We ended up having to ask the manager for our check because we couldn't find our server after waiting for 20 mins. I will note that the manager was nice. The food runners were also very "blah" with their job and placed food on our table abruptly and without speaking or having regard for the customers. The pretzel appetizer and the Salmon Pastrami were delicious. The chicken potpie was good but lacked flavor. I don't recommend this restaurant. They need to work on the customer service.

Great food, great fast service for lunch. Got the shepherds pie and spilt it will my wife. They spilt it for you before they bring it out. Still a very good portion. Also got the fried Brussel Sprouts which were very good.

Stopped in for lunch and a couple drinks. Our waiter, Brad, was great. Friendly and informative. The food was good and the atmosphere was Irish pub like. The Sheperd's pie was done well. I would go back and do recommend it. Edit Liked it so much we went back a second time.

Great breakfast and spot to grab a bite before catching a train at union station. Thanks to our waiter and kitchen team. We mentioned we had a train to catch and asked if we had enough time. They said yes, kept us updated on progress and hit the mark.

Visited here ten years ago when vacationing, here for work now so nostalgia nudged me back. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The fish and chips fresh, flaky fish, not greasy. Gave me all the warm, Irish feels and the food and drink were top notch! When I’m DC, I will return.

My wife and I called at 5 and they were able to seat us in an awesome spot on their covered outdoor patio at 6:15. Our waitress Caroline was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave us some great suggestions for beers that were to our liking. I had the Shepherd Pie and my wife had the Fish and Chips. Taste and portion size were spot on and we left satisfied, but not overfull. The interior looked authentic and was pretty hopping.

Super friendly staff. Great Irish pub fare and libations. Indoor & patio seating. Extensive menu. I went with the classic fish & chips. No complaints! My husband went with the Guinness Burger, which has no bun. It’s more of a hamburger steak on hash browns with onion straw topping. He said it was excellent. The only complaint we have is the acoustics of the dining area where we ate. There was a large party & we could hear everything from across the room. I know it’s the nature of Irish pubs to be noisy, so I still give a 5 star. You are on your own for parking. It’s catycorner from Union Station. We took the Metro.

The Dubliner is a cozy, welcoming and beautiful restaurant and pub. It was worth the walk in the rain to get here and made it feel even more authentic. The owners family was there eating when we visited and they were all super friendly and warm with the guests. An Irishman was playing live music while we ate some insanely delicious food. A memory that'll last forever.

This place was so amazing!!! Our server - Joseph was so quick and so nice, we will be repeat customers on our next trip to DC. Love this place. The espresso martini and Guinness was yummy, you won't be disappointed. We tried the pot pie and shepherds pie (pictured).

The food was great, service was amazing and atmosphere was awesome!!! Great Irish pub steps away from Union Station and The Capital. 2 adults, 3 beers, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees; with tip, less than $100.00 in D.C.!!! Mary Lynn was the greatest server! Very attentive! She kept waters filled, the beer flowing and the table cleaned. With the little tables here that’s very important! Extensive Irish Whiskey 🥃 list and great beer!

The coffee was delicious! They ran out of cups so it was hilarious to get coffee in non traditional mugs. The food and service was good too. It looked very old and rustic.

I had a fantastic experience at the Dubliner Restaurant. From the fabulous greeting from my bartender Patrick to the banter coming from what to drink to a fabulous and filling Irish Breakfast! My experience was so good that I cant wait to go back! I asked Patrick about a Black n Tan or an Irish Coffee and he suggested I order both! yes the breakfast unique and so very tasty. The Dubliner ambiance is so chill and the music they played on a Sunday morning was perfect combination of Irish Folk selections to some current SoCal white boy reggae, and Rock! I loved it. I highly recommend just for the Irish awesome experience.

The Monte Cristo sandwich was very delicious, the waitress said it was her mother's favorite and I can understand why. The meat was tender and cut easily with a fork despite the number of layers. Corn beef and hash was the best my wife ever had.
