Let me start by saying I've had Ruff N Ready Crab House before and the crabs were good, but the last couple of times I've gotten crabs from them that have been really bad. First off half the crabs were empty. I was so disappointed then the second half of my crabs were black on the inside. I'm not sure what's going on with this place but I hope the get it together.

I just recently went yesterday. I didn't know the owners changed was way better when the black owners were there. it was better seafood quality was great. But this time the owners are like Indian or middle eastern they don't saute the seafood. I got some shrimp they either freeze them for to long or pre cook them then once you order them they cook them to long because alot of mine were very mushy...almost falling apart

Crabs are ALWAYS good. I just hate that they do not answer the phone. Their prices constantly change so it would be nice to be about to call for pricing before taking that 30 min drive

Don't let the window and door security bars scare you away. Parking can be tough. There used to be a kitchen side of it where they sold lots of sides, but closed down during the pandemic. So now they only sell crabs, shrimp, and snow crab legs. And they are all delicious. A real treat. Appearances are deceiving in this case. The food is excellent. Simply delicious.

July 22, 2022 purchased pound of shrimp then returned home an hour away. Proceeded to eat shrimp and found first one soft and mushy. Opened second shrimp was soft as it if not cooked completely. Went through several more to find same condition. Tried to call number on website and it’s just a recording and no other options to speak personally. This is totally unexceptionable from any food establishments and it was to far to drive back to return under cooked or spoiled shrimp. Food cost too much throw it away because of quality issues unable to consume. Totally disappointed and feel very upset of experience that occurred. Needless to say I will not spend or frequent this place again ever in future. Please beware of ruff n ready shrimp quality which is very poor. Please beware please beware.

Purchased 3 dz of the reg males crabs. Ordering was swift, customer service was excellent. Even better we waited maybe 10 mins. The crabs were seasoned perfectly and soooo meaty and delicious. I honestly thought they were large. Thank you!

Best crabs in town!! Meaty, tasty, seasoned to perfection!!! And don't forget to grab some crab legs and shrimp!!! The cocktail sauce is Amazing!! Alexa play music by DC PABLO!!

The crabs were okay I paid $60 for large males a few were big and light and they did not taste good at all. I know crab are not in season but I don't know where they got those crabs from they had a lot of black spots on them.

This place always has our crabs out within 10 minutes, always has great costumer service. The crabs are always cooked perfectly and the prices are very reasonable. Best crab shack we have been to!

I've had crabs from these spot a few times. They travel well & I've even had them frozen still great. This was the 1st time we exactly went to the spot for ourselves. I've never had nothing but great crabs from this place.

This is the 3rd time I bought shrimp 2lbs absolutely garbage 🗑️!!!! Over cooked, under cooked. (Terrible) soggy and smelled bad. Don't wast you money. This use to be the place to get shrimp and carbs. I stopped buying their crabs years ago.

The crabs were amazing I will definitely be back but I need for ya to get some female crabs in as well because if you cooking the males like that I know they will be good and they are my favorite to order.

Only male crabs and shrimp was mushy and taste of ocean. Heard a lot of good things but my experience was meh.

The crabs were delicious. I plurged on 6 jumbos for $60. They were worth it. There corn is delicious as well.

I wish they were outside on Uber eats DoorDash something because I live out here in Gaithersburg so I got to go all the way up to them but I’d rather go on a non-holiday then on a holiday because on a holiday it’s $40 more but the services is quick the shrimp needed more cooking time but the service is quick they are friendly the corn is $2 & sweet. Don’t expect the barrel because the craft come in a box with plastic and they are seasoned to perfection. The meal crabs usually run like $80. On a non-holiday day so. far I have been there twice. Forget the competition. They are the place to go. They season Krabs so well that your lips become numb to the sensation of the seasoning that’s probably just me, but OK! The shrimp isn’t seasoned but they gave me a brown bag of seasoning.

I don't know what's going on it must not be crab season this business been going downhill ever since I was a little kid it had all kinds of things on the menu now the menu has been shortened I don't know because of global warming or anything because of pollution but I wish my Maryland crabs females will all be well this year

My go to crab place, prices are always reasonable. The crabs are meaty and the crab legs are well worth the price

The fact that they never answer the phone is why I haven't spent my money with them. I called late evening yesterday and tried calling today just to see what they had available for crabs. I guess they want people to just show up even though they may not have what a customer wants. If you can't answer my question by picking up the phone then you don't need my money. They don't even have a website🤦🏽‍♀️

They don't cook the crabs fresh for you, they're pre-cooked. The good thing about that is that you can come in, get crabs and go immediately. Obviously, it doesn't taste as fresh as it could once you're home. But for the price, this place is hard to beat.

Food was good! The crabs had A LOT of seasoning! Lol, I guess folks like it that way... I didn't need that much. It would be nice if they asked their customers if they want a lot or just enough seasoning to coat the crabs. The shrimp that we ordered tasted like it didn't have any seasoning 😩. The seasoning from the crabs could have been shared with the shrimp (That's how much seasoning was on there!)- Whew!
