Good museum, to gain knowledge about currency, minting procedures right from the olden days. Few coins are now available for sale, only until stock exists. Free entry. It started on 7th June, 2022 and is tentatively open until 13th June, 2022.

Mint Museum is recently started I'm the mint compound. For the first week the entry is free and allowed entry for everyone. Post that only school children are allowed. It has various display boards with pictures explaining every era of coins right front he 18 th century.. They even provided the bar code to scan and know further about that particular coin. There are explainations for most of the coins.. First part consists of coin collections.. There is an. Extension which focusses mostly on how it the coin system started and how the minting process occurs..

This place has coins and notes from history. Coins of other countries are also displayed. Spent over an hour. Visited on a Saturday at 1 pm. Lunch timing is 2-3 pm and the museum is closed during that time. Entry is free.

I have visited today(saturday) at around 3 P.M but there was a lock in the main entrance. Waited there for few minutes and asked to lady roaming around in khaki uniform, she mentioned Saturday and Sunday is closed. Come on Monday. As per my knowledge Museum remains open in weekend. Also google says that it is open. One more thing I found there was a notice stamped on the wall that it will remain open on Sunday.Really pathetic experience. Note: I am marking it as one star only because review will not allow you to post without putting any star.
