I
live
in
the
hostel
just
beside
Timmidkunta
Lake,
and
in
my
opinion,
the
condition
of
this
lake
is
being
deliberately
ignored
by
the
authorities.
Garbage
and
debris
from
building
materials
are
dumped
every
day
into
the
lake.
Without
the
supervision
of
the
establishment,
this
lake
will
be
filled
up
and
the
land
will
be
used
for
commercial
purposes.
I
urge
the
concerned
authorities
to
review
the
condition
of
the
Timmidkunta
Lake
and
take
the
necessary
steps
to
bring
it
back
to
life.
I
am
continuing
my
review
of
the
Timmidkunta
Lake.
Eutrophication
of
lakes
cause
bad
smell
due
to
the
excessive
growth
of
algae
and
other
aquatic
plants
that
consume
oxygen
in
the
water,
leading
to
anaerobic
conditions
and
the
release
of
foul-smelling
gases
such
as
hydrogen
sulphide.
Thatβs
exactly
what
is
happening
to
the
Timmidkunta
Lake.
Almost
all
the
hostels
and
hotels
in
this
area
use
borewell
water
for
non-drinking
purposes.
The
water
almost
smells
the
same
as
that
of
the
lake.
Imagine
bathing
and
washing
your
mouth
with
this
foul-smelling
water.
I
would
again
appeal
to
the
authorities
to
come
,
see
and
save
the
Timmidkunta
Lake.
