Stopped by for a quick tiffin in the late afternoon and must say the place lives up to its reputation. Some of the best coffee I've had in the city. The classic onion rava dosa was also as good as the reviews claim! Being a popular eatery though, it is almost always very crowded and there's considerable wait time to get a table, especially for large groups

Food quality and service is good. Reducing a star because of high prices and though menu has lot of itmes, not everything is available at same time. So you end up with very less options at a single point of time. Check menu online before visiting because you may end up ordering something else that is available instead of what you went to eat. Meals is very good but is available only in the afternoon. Chinese soup, starters, noodles and rice are good with right quantity but available only in the evening. Filter Coffee is a must try. South Indian food is good and is available throughout the day. North Indian food is available in the evening but there are better options available around same location for North Indian. Quick bites like Bhajji are available only in the evening for few hours.

A very special place in our lives. Since we were kids, after visiting Birla Mandir we ended up having breakfast here. Dosa, idly and iconic Onion Chilly Uttapam are the best! All the chutneys are promising too. Over the last 15-20yrs, the taste remains top notch, staff and entire experience is still great. The only gripe is the restrooms are tiny and not clean. Parking is still a hassle but the valet works fine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Tasty food let down by slightly lousy service during rush hour. We had to remind the waiter multiple times just to get a bottle of water, and then multiple reminders later we got our food. However, staff behaviour is good. Looks like they prefer writing everything down but then lose track. Maybe better methods of taking orders can be tried out.

The place serves a variety of South Indian food & beverages & goes by the name Minerva Coffee House. They have been in business for more than 35 years & have since opened a number of branches around Hyderabad. I visited their Himayatnagar Branch. I ordered - - Ghee Karam Dosa - Idly Vada - Poori - Filter Coffee Ghee Karam Dosa is paper crisp masala dosa made in ghee & karam Podi which is a spicy dry chutney is put in dosa. It is served with Chutneys & Sambhar. Idly Vada, freshly made a slightly bigger size idly for us & a Vada served with podi, chutneys & Sambhar. Then came Poori which was served with Korma which is a mixed veg stew majorly consisting of potato & beans. To finish it all off nothing better than their hot piping filter coffee was served. Everything here was delicious. Flavour in dosa was a bit on the spicy side just how I like & is because of Karam podi but the richness of ghee surely balanced it. Idly was very soft & melted in the mouth, Vada was crispy outside & perfectly cooked inside. Their poori & Korma are just a perfect twist to our aloo poori version. The service was very fast but we were quite early there when they had only a handful of customers & had just opened. Total bill came to INR 557

When we made an impromptu family outing yesterday, we decided to have thali for lunch. The first restaurant came to my mind is Minerva @Himayath Nagar. I used to go quite frequently and I always had a wonderful experience. It's been a while from I visited here. So, I wasn't sure if there are any changes to the quality but we still wanted to give a try. The crowd was little less since it was weekday but still we had to wait for about 10 minutes. As always the staff was constantly checking and informed as soon as the place was available. Even before looking into menu, we all said "thali" in unison :) That's Minerva!!! In no time, we got our food and I didn't find any change in quantity or quality at all. The staff was keep checking for rice, curry or any other items that we need. It was sumptuous and hard to list everything we had. I liked the fact that the food was less oily and hygiene as the way I always remember here. Even though I was so full, I had to take extra serving for the curd. We didn't want to miss the coffee. None of us take coffee immediately after lunch, but who can say no to thick and strong aroma coffee. We went for it. It was totally amazing experience. My mom loved it totally! If you are planning to try this, my suggestion would be on a weekday as I know this place is super crowd during weekends. Take your own time, relish each and every food item.... and if you are a fan of coffee, you must try it here!

I had family party in Minerva grand Banquet hall, when first booked the hall i spoke to a gentelmen who agreed for everything we asked and also we agreed whatever they said. On the day of function started so called manager Kishore reddy was not pleasent with his way of talking or dealing with people. It was my party and he was ordering me when and what to do, it was such annoying for me that i just kept quiet because all my guest where their. He started saying you need to start the lunch at so and so time, it was afternoon party so people generly come by noon to have luch, he stopped the Ac by 3 pm and he asked dj person to stop @2 pm, he was so rude that he told dj person that he will unplug if he he plays the music, he wanted me to listen to him whatever he said. It was 3 30 he started cleaning the hall and removing the chairs as their were guest still sitting and photo shoot was going on. My suggestion to Minerva is the industry you are in very humble and it should be pleasent not to be rude the behaviour is unacceptable at all in this industry, i am from a corporate environment and did not feel that comfortable with this person, otherwise food and other things were good. I felt that i should never comeback to this place and will not recommend any one to this place, because of the specific person I have events in my family very frequently but never felt bad with any place we had party. As you are in this industry for many years you should know who to handel people. It was not personnel but he was not at his best at professional. Sorry for all this but it might help people making decisions before booking with banquet hall.

This time it's a casual meeting with a friend, it's around 4pm(crowd is comparatively low), Had a cup of coffee (Rs.80 each) and chitchat for around 30min, then we had plate of Mirchi Bajji (Rs.90, 4.no) and a cup of tea (Rs.75 each). Felt Tea was awesome and with mirchi bajji it's 😍, But, would recommend this place as a family hangout(morning/afternoon/night) for a delicious South Indian tiffins/food. Even though the restaurant is close to my home, i hadn't visited this for the past 3 years or so. I had a close friend of mine visiting Hyderabad and as he was staying in himayatnagar, i thought let me catchup with him for breakfast at Minerva. It's amazing to see that the restaurant still carries the same taste and authenticity of South Indian food which it is famous for. We had ordered idli vada, button idli with sambar, masala dosa, ghee karam dosa and coffee at the end. Each and everything was made to perfection. Even my friend loved the food. He was craving for some good south indian breakfast and Minerva could help him get over it. I would certainly be visiting the restaurant again soon, may be to try their Thali in lunch or dinner!

Practically the first time we heard Ghee for Karampudi is "Chargeable". For last 30 yrs my father has been their loyal customer and after his heart surgery he would order only 2 plates idli. To his major disappointment, they gave very little ghee in kharampodi n when asked for more, supervisor Anand informed "it's chargeable". He didn't order the second plate of idli. N will never order any hereafter. Minerva is history for this 83 yr old man. Minerva lost a 30 yr old customer for a spoonful of glee

I have been regular customer of Minerva. I usually buy meals the corporate meal box and the other one as well. I request the management to consider innovative locking for meal box and packaging as sometimes its easy to open the meal box and eat. There was mix up and lesser quantity of items than usual. There is a possibility of theft of food and in this covid times, customer will not like to take the risk. I am not complaining food was stolen from my meal box I ordered but I'm not satisfied enough.

Very rude staff. The supervisor overseeing the reservation was insisting on names of all people coming in and he insisted on squeezing 5 adults into a square table meant for 4 . He was using a very unpolite and arrogant tone. Though ruckus was going on the manager didn't appear. Only our reluctantly raised voice drew the attention and several managers appeared to settle the issue. It was unbecoming of the management to engage such rude person to manage public touch. The staff needs a quaint lesson in public relations. The mood of birthday party being celebrated was totally upset.

Loved the 70 mm dosa, Idly, Rava Dosa & coffee. Their Sambhar & Chutney are also brilliant. A must visit restaurant for South Indian tiffin / breakfast / thali dishes.

Neat, hygienic and very well maintained. Excellent quality of food at moderate prices. I got my order quickly. Carrot Halwa and Gulab Jamun were superb. Overall, I had a very good experience.

Authentic South Indian breakfast place. Very hygiene and great quality but a little bit over priced.

Food is a hit and a miss. You are lucky if your dosa is not floating in oil or any other issue with the food. I'd however suggest the thali over here. It's nice and fulling. Service is good, they do their best with the crowd and it is evident.
