This is a large well maintained beautiful park located on the banks of the vast Hussain Sagar Lake and we had visited the same during our holiday in Hyderabad. Its best place to go for morning walk. Not suitable to go in the evenings. Parking is available opposite side.. The park opens at 5.30 am and till 8.30 morning walkers come. You can stroll around, sit on one of the benches or exercise with regulars... it is good fun. For some reason cameras are allowed on hefty payment of Rs.1000 but you are allowed to shoot with your mobile. So be prepared to pay this huge sum if you must carry your camera. Entry fee other wise is just Rs.5.

Huge park beside the Hussain Sagar Lake.. excellent place to hang out with family.. Contains rose garden, large Indian flag, sanjeevaiah memorial, science park for kids, etc . Huge open spaces enabling open play areas for kids.. families can have lunch here .. one of the best picnic spots .. Beware of the foul smell of the lake.. and stray dogs.. Toilets are limited, given the huge area of the park . Cleanliness also needs improvement

Well maintained park. Entry fee is 10/- rs. Excellent recreational place for kids. Plenty of flora and fauna to experience. Kids love this place. You can also get photoshoots done too baby/kids photoshoot, pre wedding photoshoot etc ( they have separate charges for this). Best time to visit would be between 3-4 pm and spend couple of hours at this vast landscape.

One of the best park in town. Good playtime area for kids and families. Ample parking spaces. People were very friendly and the place was very maintained. One full day worth of spots are available. Play area for the kids. Gardens with full of Roses and a well maintained greenery all over the place. Fountains with proper water maintenance and proper channeling was the highlight. Overall a good experience. Great place for kids playtime, photos specific place. Lot of new born kids photos shoots were happening. 10 rupees entry fee and it's worth it.

Nice park, full of greenary. Entry price is just Rs. 10 for chilren and adults. Timings are from 9 am to 6pm. But we can be there upto 7 pm. On outside board they have written outside food was not allowed, but they allowed to take inside. Park has different gardens inside like rose garden, rock garden, cactus garden, butterfly garden, do science zone, bamboo garden, maze garden etc. Among all Butterfly garden and maze garden are nice. All these gardens are located in an distance of 400 to 500 meters each. So we need to walk lot. In this park we can see India's second tallest flag. There is Do Science zone, they collect RS. 60/- per person for that. There are some small science projects for children. Children will enjoy a lot there. There is also a yatch club where ee can do boating in Hussain sagar. There is also a children playground and open gym. There are restrooms available inside. It will be good if we go in evening. But we can't see total park if we go in evening, as time will not eWe can enjoy with family members.

Sanjeevaiah Park is sure to captivate you with its natural beauty. Its lush greenery and it’s refreshing environment are sure to rejuvenate you. The view of the Hussain Sagar Lake from here allures all its visitors. People can come and relax amid the refreshing quietness of the park. Along with the scenic beauty, it also boasts of rich fauna. This park has nearly 100 species of avian fauna, comprising of both resident and non-resident birds. During the winter season, you can see many more species of migratory birds from all over the world. There are about 50 species of insects and butterflies in this park. One of the commonly spotted birds in this park is the Pied Crested Cuckoo. Sanjeevaiah Park which is just beside Necklace Road is perfect for a relaxed picnic with family and friends. Sit and enjoy the sprawling greenery around you, away from the traffic and noises of the city streets. The most popular feature of this park is the wide array of roses here. Its rock garden and floral clock also captivate everyone. It is an ideal place for families to for a day outing. There is ample of area for children to play as well. Adults can also play games like Frisbee, etc. A leisure walk amid the greenery is also a common activity here. A separate pavement has been made for the joggers, and for those who would like to stroll around the park. The park is also candidly called as the Lover’s Park, for the number of couples who come here to sit and spend some time together amid its beautiful surroundings. It is also a common venue for many events, ranging from roller skating races to social awareness campaigns. Open on all day of the week, you can visit Sanjeevaiah Park. Its timings are from early morning to 7.00 PM. The entry fee at the Sanjeevaiah Park is also minimal. If you are a regular visitor, you can also opt for a monthly or yearly pass.

It's a Children's park. Open to adults only in morning 5:30-8:30 am. Only adults not allowed after 9am. Very beautiful landscapes, lush green, lots of flowers and huge trees every where. Treat to the eyes. Great for a morning walk/run.calm and scenic. Must see: butterfly garden, rose garden, desert garden, national flag. Adjacent hussain sagar lake can be stinky and park will also have bad smell sometimes. Mostly clean. No litter.

Atmosphere is well and good. Greenery is awesome. Need alot of improvements in child play area equipment is not at all useful for kids. street Dogs are alot in the park, which can be dangerous to kids. Open man holes in the park at prominent places again a concern for the safety standards. Overall if u want to enjoy Raw nature Park it is okay.

The Park is extremely good.. Neat and Clean.. It is a children's park and strictly for families. The best thing is couples and lovers are not allowed. The park is spacious and green, where several photoshoots can be done for children. Butterfly garden is just awesome and anyone would definitely love it. Also the maze garden is just beautiful. Indian Flag stands so high that we get a mini patriotic feeling watching it. The park is well maintained clean and lovely. Do visit with your children 😊👌

A park for everyone I would say! There is an entry fee of around INR 5 per person but you can subscribe to a monthly pass which is for INR 75. The park is divided into many sections 1. Cactus garden - beautifully structured 2. Rose garden - you can have a pleasant walk 3. Nursery 4. Bamboo garden 5. Rock area 6. Indian flag point - Hyderabad's biggest flag 7. Children's play area 8. Maze in a garden Free workshop for yoga is there in the morning for everyone There is a club named Do sci, where children can have a rich experience of daily science along with some puzzles and quiz

One of the best places available for a family picnic around Husain Sagar Lake. Home food is allowed inside park. Visitors must ensure to avoid littering else a day will come when authorities will decide to stop this privilege at a city centre park. Little more maintenance is required and if required entry fee be enhanced slightly.

Park is good for normal natural outing but very restricted amount of swings for that size of park..Hardly 5 6 swings are there...But SciDo lab within the park having ticket of RS 60 is interesting, especially for growing children.Nice science tools🔭with a brief explanation written at every tool or machine...

It was much more peaceful than expected. I went on a sunday evening and it seemed packed at the entrance. But owing to the large size of the park, it was quiet and calm in some places inside. There are play areas for children as well as small hills covered in grass that make for good spots for either tumbling about or just sitting peacefully. The flag point inside is a must visit especially on a nice windy day. I would also recommend cutting through the roads and taking a walk through the trails leading through mini-forests just for the fresh smell and experience. It gives a good refreshing feeling. There are benches located throughout the roads so you can sit down to rest if you get tired. The only thing I couldn't care for are the couples you can find sprawled out in the park. It'd be great if they went and got a room but apparently everything was booked or they're very fond public places. They can be avoided mostly by just choosing to focus yourself on the better aspects of the park. Its a large, neatly maintained place that makes for a great walk and refreshing time.

A very nice place for children to enjoy and learn from nature. Calm and quiet environment. Neat and clean areas. Nature friendly place. Allowed only with children. Variety of followers and plants to see. Awesome national falg. Liked a lot. Now this is out of season for flowers and so there is not a large amount of rose flowers. Variety of rose plats available. Bamboo garden with a lot of bamboo trees. Variety of Butterflies available too. Many many coconut trees and other trees are there. Only the negative is large amount of stray dogs are there. They making the area dirty.

A very nice and large park, can spend many hours here and still not complete everything. Large old trees abound, a visual treat for plant lovers. The park maintenance could be better in few areas, but even then it's great to visit. Turtles in the water body, bats and kites in the trees are an added attraction! Only request to the authorities to allow kids to carry a football. Ours was stopped at the entrance because of this, and a ball won't hurt anyone :)

Had FUNTASTIC day with my family. Rose garden, butterflies garden, bamboo garden, maze are main highlight spots. For kids (do science) a way of learning with family was admirable. We spent more time with kid at Children play area, out door gym . Whole day worth visit. And we choose mmts trains for transportation which was pocket friendly. We carried food and water so For 4 members it costs us less than 500.

Cafeteria next to science exhibition overcharged above MRP. For soft drink of MRP 25/- they charge 30/-, best is buy outside and bring. Parking area is still under construction. Need more security.

Sanjeevni Park offers a delightful experience for both children and families. The park's beautiful ambiance makes it an ideal destination to enjoy quality time together. The park's entry ticket is reasonably priced at just 10rs per person for ages 5 and above, and it's worth noting that only cash is accepted at the counter. You can access the park through the convenient subway entrance, situated opposite to the park's location. Once inside, visitors have the option to explore the canteen, which serves a variety of delicious treats, including badaam milkshake, cold drinks, water, chips, and fresh and hygienic aloo samosas and egg puffs. Sanjeevni Park also boasts an impressive collection of 60 science monuments, each providing an enriching experience. The entry ticket for the science monuments is 60rs per person. The park itself is vast and truly amazing, featuring a charming rose garden with fountains and a captivating butterfly garden. As someone who has visited the park twice, I can attest that the kids will have an absolute blast and create wonderful memories. ☺️

Its a place to relax, may it be early morning walk or an evening leisure one, the greenery out here is good to breath healthy , most imp its in the heart of the city, having acres of land with this kinda infrastructure in a city is rare to find anywhere in INDIA with ample parking space, you can have the best photoshoots here for any occasion..!

Best part of the park is Sanjeevaiah memorial garden. It is maintained very well. There is children's park, rose garden, rock garden etc. You can see national park from various locations in the park. This park requires children to enter and couples are not allowed. Rose garden will be good in the season. There is only one small food option that too it has only badam milk, chips and ice creams. Since the park is huge, better to go in the morning itself. Park closes around 6 PM.

A nice public garden with a rose garden, good open Gym area, kids play area and Science zone for kids (Rs 50 entry fee). You will find lot many bats in some trees above the walk area and be careful as there is a possibility of bat droppings. Being a public garden, vehicles are NOT allowed but this rule is only for a common man and not for other officials who come with their families.

An excellent green park for morning walks/jogs and runs. This is a very well maintained park with ample parking space. The park has tracks throughout. Being adjacent to Hussain Sagar, this park (especially in the early mornings) makes you feel you are close to nature away from the concrete jungle that Hyderabad is. Another most important aspect is the entry fees is a mere five rupees per person, which makes it a place very accessible to every common man. If you live close by, it is highly recommended that you visit this place every morning for staying fit.

A very peaceful place to visit. Park for entire family to spend their leisure. Must visit for every hyderabadi person. Also a very good place for picnic spot. Try goining in early morning as it is very fresh and you can see butterflies and birds everywhere. Many people from nearby place come here for jogging and morning excercises as well.

Quite a big garden. Near to sanjeevaiah park railway station. Children can enjoy there. Various sections are made in the park such as Rose garden, butterfly garden, kid play area, open gym, science park etc. One can easily spend 2 hours in this place. Outside food is not allowed though some people carries.

Pleasant and big park with lot of exhibits. Park is well maintained and not very crowded. Nice place to spend evenings. Park entry fee is also very affordable. Will get plenty of sunlight and abundant clean air. Park also has limited free parking space for cars / two wheelers. Only flipside is many kids exhibits have reached their end of life and need to be replaced (e.g. the small cars / scooter toys for kids). Also park doesn't have any activities that suite needs of toddlers of age 2 to 3 years.

Good greenery park, entry fee just Rs.10 only. Allowed only if you go with kid(s). Park sharply closes at 6pm (security chases you to go out starting 6pm), make sure you reach park well in advance to spend good amount of time. There are couple of shops inside (not exactly sure what kind of though). Car parking was free, Camera charge Rs.1000/-. You can carry food inside. Few children's activities are there, mostly occupied. Post 6pm it would be dark during winters, no street lighta inside.

Since Sanjeevaiah Park is located in the heart of Hyderabad, it is easily accessible to all visitors coming from different parts of the city. The park covers an area of 92 acres and is situated along the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake. The name of the park was derived after the name of the former President of India, Dr. Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy. The park is currently managed and maintained by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority. It also bagged the Best Open Landscape Award at a prestigious award ceremony held during 2010, in the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage category. The beautiful sight of the lake mesmerizes its visitors. You may even chance upon black and white striped moorhens here. Sanjeevaiah Park is considered to be the oldest and the largest park in Hyderabad. It is the perfect place for visitors to relax on the lawn and also enjoy a great family picnic. A separate walk way has been paved for visitors to enjoy strolls or jogs at the park. Scroll further for more information about Sanjeevaiah Park in Hyderabad.

Great place to hang out at an economical price. Was very surprised to see the ticket price was only 10 bucks. My daughter had great fun running around and since it was a large place, it was very sparsely populated. It is well maintained and water fountains were functional too. Nice place to hang out for hours to enjoy greenery and calm.

“Nice Good size park with a separate children's park. They can improve on maintenance as in some areas of the park especially the canal it isn't neat. Otherwise well maintained. Good for morning or evenings walks. Only thing which I didn't like is there is no snacks or drinks or atleast water that is sold. There is canteen but no one is there. Go early or else finding parking can be tedious.

  • 3/5 Bikash C. 2 years ago on Google
Its a Children's park. At least one child should be accompanied with you for entering this park. It has a large area with many different gardens in it.

  • 3/5 Ernesto S. 2 years ago on Google
I visited this place with my family in evening, this place is good for relaxing. There's an entrance fee to this place for adults. Also, there is baggage area so you don't carry any eating stuffs inside and litter around in the park. I Liked the water fountains, there were also different games for kids. Also there was toy train but I believe due to covid it wasn't functional. I tried water slide along with my son, it was fun. My kid loved it. The only disappointment is rest room. It wasn't clean though they charge you. Since the entrance fee already collected, you have to pay again to use rest rooms.

Went back to the park after some 15+ years, from me being a kid to bringing my own kid. The nostalgia was surreal. One of the cheapest place to take photoshoot (₹10 per head)... Take a mat, some food, and let your kids roam wild and you sleep under a tree peacefully.

The rose garden and rock garden are nicely maintained. Cleanliness is good. The only thing which is bothering is that the lake surrounding the garden is filthy and smelly.Though machines are used regularly but the municipality should ensure that the filth should be properly disposed

Good place to go with Children. Entry is restricted, you can only enter the park if there is any child. Elders without child are not allowed. Children can play and can enjoy. Overall it is good

One of the biggest Nature park in Hyderabad, which is near to Necklace road MMTs railway station, Jalavihar and Eat Street. Entrance ticket is Rs.10, parking is free here. It is open till 6pm only. We visited only part of it, the Rose Garden and Water fountain area much more to explode. You will get fresh air and you can enjoy lush green landscape along with plenty of Rose varieties.

Hi all coming to the point there is no doubt that Sanjivaiah park is excellent park keeping into consideration of the greenery and the space it provides actually the total space is 92 acres its a good spot for picnic for families and all however I would like to caution you people that this Sanjeev bhaiya park it is situated at necklace road is harmful to children because I have heard that in Sanjayvaiay park area in earlier days they used to burry children's who have died I don't know how much this was correct but to my surprise in my family this is the second case where our kids fell ill after coming from Sanjivaiah park and on the same day my small child was telling me in the park itself that he saw something on tree as soon as he told me I got him back to the home it took 2 days for him to recover so I request not to bring small children to the park as they have some evil spirit those who agree with me and go there and try if you want something you can like my comment thank you.

And the Indian flag gives goosebumps kick as you get near n near...kids will luv...management need to bring in more play items for kids as there are limited.

Sanjeevaiah Park is a beautiful and serene place to visit in Hyderabad. It is located on the banks of Hussain Sagar lake, and offers a stunning view of the water and the city skyline. The park is named after Damodaram Sanjivayya, a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh². It is managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority¹², and has won the Best Open Landscape Award in 2010². The park is spread over 92 acres of land, and has a variety of attractions for visitors. There is a rock garden, a floral clock, a rose garden, and a butterfly park. The park is home to many species of birds, insects, and butterflies, and is a great place for nature lovers and photographers. The park also has the second tallest Indian flag in the country², which is a sight to behold. The park is open from 5 am to 8 pm for morning walkers, and from 8 am to 7 pm for general visitors. The entry fee is Rs. 2 for morning walkers, Rs. 5 for general visitors, and free for children below 10 years of age¹. The park is well-maintained, clean, and green. There are benches, drinking water facilities, and toilets available for the convenience of the visitors. The park is also accessible by public transport, as it is close to Necklace Road railway station and bus stop. Sanjeevaiah Park is a perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is ideal for families, couples, friends, and solo travelers. It is one of the best parks in Hyderabad, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and pleasant experience. I would rate it 4 stars out of 5.
