I
took
an
appointment
yesterday
at
5:00
pm
for
my
sister
91
years
old.
Earlier
eye
specialists
diagnosed
that
she
has
macular
degeneration
in
one
eye.
As
she
is
experiencing
difficulty
in
reading,
I
brought
her
to
your
hospital.
I
paid
Rs.
300
for
consultation.
By
6:30pm,
she
could
see
Dr.
Vidyasagar
Garu,
a
very
soft
spoken
gentleman
doctor.
He
asked
her
to
go
for
scanning
her
eyes.
They
charged
Rs.
3000/for
scanning.
As
they
do
not
have
the
scanning
equipment,
they
sent
us
in
their
vehicle
to
their
other
location
in
Dishuknagar(?),
which
took
30
minutes
to
go.
They
took
30
minutes
to
scan
and
came
back
to
Dr.
Vidyasagar
Garu
by
8:00
pm.
Doctor
and
his
staff
waited
after
the
closing
time
of
8:00,
examined
the
scanned
charts
and
prescribed
some
eye
drops
which
they
charged
about
Rs.
1750.
Thanks
I
did
not
buy
at
that
8:30
pm
without
knowing
the
actual
problem
they
found
and
the
purpose
of
the
medicines.
The
readings
from
various
machines
in
the
clinic
and
a
list
of
three
medicines
(2
pages),
one
page
of
Rs.
3000
receipt
for
scanning,
and
three
colorful
scan
charts
were
put
in
a
folder
and
gave
me
at
8:30
pm.
Most
important:
I
would
like
to
say
that
there
is
no
report
of
the
problem,
what
they
diagnosed,
and
no
explaining
the
problem
in
the
folder
After
almost
spending
4
hours
including
one
hour
of
travel,
I
did
not
get
the
courage
to
ask
any
questions
the
doctor
and
the
staff,
who
want
to
close
the
shops
and
leave
for
the
day.
While
I
was
waiting
for
Uber,
the
doctor
left
and
the
staff
dead
leaving.
In
fact,
they
have
to
unlock
the
cabinets
and
pharmacy
to
get
the
eye
drops.
I
am
highly
dissatisfied
with
the
service.
The
tables
and
charts
are
no
good
to
the
patient
or
to
me,
her
brother,
a
retired
engineer
with
a
Ph.D.
living
in
the
USA
for
the
last
53
years,
visiting
his
sister
almost
every
year,
and
taking
care
of
her
by
taking
her
to
doctors
of
various
specialities
in
India
during
my
visits
to
India.
This
is
the
most
perplexing
doctor’s
visit.
I
am
sorry
that
I
could
not
control
myself
without
writing
this
review.
In
fact,
I
took
her
for
an
appointment
with
a
dentist
in
the
morning
of
the
same
day
which
made
me
highly
pleased
and
I
expected
similar
experience
with
her
eye
doctor
too,
but,
have
experienced
completely
different
one.
I
suggest:
please
include
a
short
report
about
the
observations
of
the
doctor
in
the
language
understandable
to
the
patient
and/or
friends
and
relatives,
who
are
not
familiar
with
medical
jargon
and
machine
printed
tables
and
charts.
Sometimes,
even
general
practitioners
(primary
care
physicians),
who
referred
the
patient
to
the
Specialist,
cannot
explain
to
the
patient.
Thank
you.
