We'd been shopping and found this place hidden in plain sight. Just fancied some lunch and a drink of something hot and this ticked both boxes. The food was excellent. We decided against an evening meal that night as we were still full from lunch. My burger was great and my wife's steak, mushroom and blue cheese ciabatta looked beautiful (as long as you're not a vegan). I'd have that next time. And the burger again the time after that. I'd have to try the rest if the menu sometime though.

The Black Horse is a PUB,isn't it???? I hadn't been in for a while so just went in for a PIE & PINT. I was looked at askance as I was told it was a TEMPERANCE BAR. 🐑 🐏 🐑 rather sheepishly I asked what they served and ended up with 🍄 🍄 mushroom and steak PIE + Cappuccino. Excellent, I REALLY enjoyed it.

Locally sourced products. Excellent quality. Would have rated higher but menu a little limited after breakfast severing finishes. However have a shop to buy pig products, preserves and bread and always been impressed when I have bought from them.

Definitely the best breakfast in Accrington, The black pudding alone is to die for.

Lovely food and delicious cakes, all homemade. Staff are incredibly friendly and it's a nice environment to have lunch or an afternoon tea. I had the mezze platter, which was tasty, but at £11.50 seemed a little expensive for what I got.

Great little cafe, catered for my allergy and my autistic nephew. Locally produced Fitzpatrick drinks, soya milk, vegan cupcakes and gluten free cupcakes too, slimming world breakfast and much more. Friendly staff, would definitely visit here again.

Yummy....we had a slice of homemade cake and a coffee each...very reasonable. I had a quick look around the deli on the way out...not meaning to buy anything but couldn't resist the beef sausages and Turkey burgers! Will be going back for another visit very soon.

Really friendly with lovely food. Great portion sizes so will have to visit again to enjoy the fabous looking cakes as we were just too full this time!
