Not impressed at all especially in the current crisis we are in,one of staff had no mask ,and the ones that did have them on it was pointless, due to them not covering there nose,and not even covered by a screen,only one girl ,and to top it off one was coughing, I was unlucky to get that one

Nice shop, easy to get to and a good range of clothes and other items. The car park was big enough and not crowded when I went in the evening. Only downside is there are usually only one or maybe two checkouts on, so with more than a couple of people in the queue, you'll be waiting a few minutes. But so what? It's good value for money.

Great store, but 'certain' members of staff, mainly the younger end, want a good shake up. Especially on the main point of being behind a till- GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I was in store, yesterday, and the female who served me lacked enthusiasm, manners....just about everything. No 'Hello' or 'Goodbye'....or 'Thankyou'. It was like being served by a mannequin...Poor!!!!

The store Assistant didn't let me in 10 minutes before the store closed....not recommended this store...waste of time..and in cooperative staff...

I didnt think it had a grest fashion selection 4 men and no jeans at 38 waist except for pairs you have to peel off lol very dissapointing 4 men🙃

Plenty of clothes to choose from and the prices are reasonable. Not enough staff on the tills and the car park could do with a tidy up.

Store manager Anna is rude, obnoxious and has no people skills whatsoever!!! Whoever has appointed this woman to deal with customers needs to know she has terrible customer service skills and doesn't know how to speak to people. She was very uptight, stressed and arrogant when approached. Please change your store manager, someone who isn't on a power trip.....

Went to get some holiday stuff for my wife. Got what we wanted, and she is pleased with her purchase.

Car park is full of litter and looks like it has never had curb edges swept, also broken glass in two high footfall areas.

Called in to have a look round. Hadn't been for months and it's probably going to be months before I go back. Focusing mainly on women's wear, if you want to have a good rummage through sale stuff then you would be in your element. But otherwise I wouldn't bother. Not changed much since my last visit....a Good portion of the products are sale. I did get a couple of bargains this visit though.

Went to pick my order up from Click and collect. Was disappointed that the collection point is hidden in the changing rooms. I had to go looking for a member of staff after waiting 15 minutes.

First choice for cheap and cheerful jeans and t-shirts. It took a bit of trying on but I found a few pairs that fitted me quite well.

On arrival I could smell a musty dirty smell near the door it did improve as I walked round the store when I got to the till was asked card or cash in a very abruptly manner I said cash they got my shopping out the basket and put each item under the scanner than to one side half way through he walked off to deal with another customer returning an item he came back took my cash gave me my change and walked off items still his side of the till area no asking if I wanted a bag or please take your items no thanks for calling please call again or any good customer service skills never ever been anywhere that bad before training very much needed

On the whole, quite a decent sized store for Matalan. I didn't find my holiday getaway items at the start of September - as most of the store was geared up for Autumn. They send great value money off vouchers too. Always worth a check in.

Called in on Wednesday 27th December to return an item of clothing, only to be told "sorry, we're not accepting returns today". So I asked why, and was told "we've just been told not to". So thanks for that Matalan, really appreciate the wasted journey. Spoke with customer services who were as confused as I was as to why they couldn't process the refund, and promised to investigate.

Great store, just wish it was more visible. Many of my friends don’t even know it’s there. It needs something putting on the main road, to attract/inform passers by. They must be losing a fortune in passing trade.

Great prices and some lovely clothes. Spacious, free parking, helpful staff, fitting rooms. Lots of choice.

I have never seen so much tat for sale in all my years. Poor quality merchandise, poorly displayed and many items fallen or dropped on the floor. No sales staff around to ask. Poor self check out system. No customer service whatsoever. Bought a shirt, the last one in my size, but it had been removed from the packaging and then just stuffed back into the bag. Nothing knocked off. Had I not needed it urgently I wouldn't have bought. Going home now to iron it.

Good selection of house hold goods,, need to have plus size womens clothing only go upto a size 18/20 what about the larger women sized 24 and above..

I come to Matalan today, their was a big queue and only one person on the till. The young man on the tills was very slow and seemed like he's been forced to do work. Their was a lady in self service who needed help but no one was helping her she just stood there for someone to help her. Their was only 1 other staff seen in the rest of the shop. Christmas is coming up and people are out shopping I think they should be more people on the tills

Went at 6.50 Friday night didn't know it closed at 7pm as all other stores close at 8pm..I walked in the store passing 2 staff at the entrance that said nothing to me..put some clothes in my basket and one of them came up to me ushering me through the door..I was treated terrible

It was OK here almost good they need to have more choices and modernisation would not go a miss. The place is dated. The checking out area is not great either. It is a nice atmosphere but only just.

Been into the Accrington store today not very impressed with the amount of dirty floors throughout the store does not give a good impression. Front of the store and carpark also needs tidying up.

My husband went to pick up my order at 3:50pm and was told "sorry we are closed, we normally close at four but today we're closing 10 minutes early" Pretty sure employees are paid till 4pm not till 3:50pm. I wish I could finish my shift 10 minutes early whenever I felt like it too. Not to mention Google says they're open till 5pm not 4pm. If anyone is going to order from matalan I'd recommend collecting from the blackburn store instead as the staff at accrington are nothing short of useless. You can keep my order now as I've ordered from newlook instead.

Large que 2 staff on . 3 staff just chatting! Asked to use self service! Why should I?? I expect to be served! Staff no social skills . Store very limited for guys let huge section for women! Useless

Good selection of clothes at reasonable prices. Changing room full of litter. Staff not very receptive, left security tag on. Would go back though or be better to order on line.

Bought some items in the Accrington store today. I took the items to the till and said hello to the cashier who was an older lady I got nothing in return, my items were put through the till £65 I was told. The cashier then put the receipt on top of the cloths and walked away without a word, I stood for a bit thinking she must be going to get a big bag but NO that was it, not even the offer of a bag. Matalan some staff training is needed here, I found this experience miserable and rude. The only verble exchange was (£65).

Went to the store in Accrington to take items back for refund & to buy a gift card. Queued for 25 minutes only one person on till unless you can use self service till which I couldn't. To cap it all the gift card said 'Happy Christmas' not great for a birthday in April!! Sorry Matalan you need to up your game.
