Accrington Market Hall

Market

👍 Nice old style market hall. Lots of different stalls with a wide variety on sale, excellent pies at the back. There are toilets, but they could do with modernising and access isn't the easiest. People often mention stalls, market, town, people, building, cafe,

Great bargains in this store if you want any box's and storage containers as they have them cheaper then any other stores and shops. Great bargains

Beautifully preserved and tastefully modernised traditional market hall. After forty years away it's a true delight to see this building still so well used, even in these difficult pandemic times. Flock back when restrictions are lifted, folks, market hall shopping doesn't get much better than this!

The name is big and the building is beautiful but nothing to buy from inside. Close it please and invest in something else better for the community. It gives bad name to Accrington.

One of the best local markets around, still has everything you need plus a few unexpected stalls such as reconditioned Appliances, tattoos, kids party's, motability, hairdressers, sweets, wool, clothes, butchers, pet food shop and more

Slacks butchers is not to be missed. They have a great selection of top quality producce. Try the delicious stir fry's. Customer service is excellent, always very friendly and helpful. Also don't forget the sweet stall for a great selection of old favourites and that personal touch.

Tastiest sausage and mushroom sandwich I've ever had and that was at Netties. Excellent cafe and prices still reasonable. Also, some very interesting stalls in the outdoor and indoor market.

A classical old style Market Hall, that has thankfully retained its original features. One down side, the vandalised mens public toilets, mindless vandalism that has resulted in the closing of "free to use " public toilets in so many towns and cities.

It a shame. This place used to be busy and full of different stalls. Walked through today, it was mostly empty with only a few traders left.

Such a shame that this once successful market has deteriorated so much. Some of the problems are because shoppers now buy online much more, but the council also have to shoulder a lot of the blame for not bringing retailers into the town.

Shame there's not many stalls in there. Went to Frankie's cafe and they were brilliant. Super friendly, brought my granddaughter a picture to colour at the table. Food was lovely

Now WILKOS closed. More charity shops, hairdressers, nailbars, fast food shops, it's becoming a ghost town. Bulldoze the town centre, make it a "Park & ride to get out of the town centre quickly. Change your local Council, it hasn't moved on with changing times and consequently has ruined this once busy and thriving town. There's just the Tiffany glass to sell next.

Beautiful building, nice cafe and some good stalls. Just needs some investment and tlc. The heritage should be protected.

Very few open stalls in this beautiful market hall. The best part was the meal we had at the café on the upstairs balcony .

Well what can I say stall holders feel let down and the people of Accrington also do its gone from a very good market where people would travel to too a place where no one what's to come shameful and the local councillors need to sort this out

Used to be a fantastic place to shop unfortunately it is in a decline just like the rest of Accrington town centre. The reason are the following, online shopping, supermarkets, High stalls and shop rent and rates. High unemployment, Death of the local industry, and the older generaration who used to shop here have mostly passed away.

It's a brilliant car boot when it gets going. I did for about 10 years there. Everything sells nearly. Try it under cover electricity supply. Genuine people

I go to pamper bees here to buy handmade waxmelts and bathbombs, they also sell loads of personalised items from cups and body washes to ribbons and jewelry, they are upstairs on the top balcony. The owners make every thing themselves from scratch and put so much time and effort into what they make. I'm a happy customer.

Sad to say ' this is a depressing place to shop '. It used to be the HUB of Accrington, but now the place is devoid of atmosphere as well as stalls. Sorry Accrington. 😞

This outdoor market used to be brilliant, it was vibrant, with a great variety of stalls. The buses used to stop right outside, and that made it easy for people to buy then hop on their buses home. The The so called caring council put a stop to it.By some brainless person building a bus station 10mins away. I say ten for if you're loaded with buys then it's a fair walk. Plus if its raining then you're going to get soaked for sure. As for the bus station, it is a total waste of money, when you consider, it's only busy 7am to 7pm. The rest of the time only a few stands are available really. The market is now a disaster of a place hardly any stalls most of the time and no character left. It's not because of covid, it's solely due to the buses being diverered, away to their imbicilic bus station. It's strange why they build bus stations then cut most of the bus services to the bare minimum .
