I was stayed here years before and it was good so I choose to stay here in 2022 Dec again. However I felt disappointed since I was assigned to a bunk which is not suitable for stay. The room is blocked by the pillars and the wall is not well decorated. Future more there is a horizontal pillar above the main area which is easy to bump into by head. Overall I had bad experience to stay at this room since if I pay the same price, why did I get the room not as comfortable as others ? I will suggest this bunk should be blocked since its not suitable for staying.

Excellent location and great value for the price. The rooms & bunks were clean and comfortable, with plenty of space, and the bathrooms were clean. It says that there is a bar downstairs, but the sleeping areas are very quiet; I didn't hear any noise. Beds and sheets are very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a women-only floor, where rooms had only six bunks each. Staff was very accommodating and I appreciate that they held my luggage for two days while I went to climb Fuji. Easy walk from Shinjuku Station and very close to spa/baths Thermae-Yu. A great base for exploring Tokyo and surroundings!

This place was honestly amazing for the location, like S tier, ONLY reason it received a 4 star is because the beds were absolute garbage, and the rooms all creak when you rotate around, the lights for some reason are at the very back where your head rests so every time you just need a light on, you gotta crawl all the way in to turn it on or off. It was clean, they come everyday to clean up, bathrooms spotless, toilets heated(holy this felt amazing), a block from a 7-11. They got happy hour draft beers for like 400yen at imano from 5-7pm I think it was. Solid

I loved that they had very clean bathrooms and the staff were nice. The only thing was that it was a bit far from JR Shinjuku station. At least it’s close to Shinjuku Sanchome. Remember to exit out of C6 where there is an elevator if you’re getting to the hostel from Shinjuku Sanchome and have heavy luggage. Google maps told me to exit from C7 which is the closest exit to the hostel but you’ll have to climb up stairs with your luggage.

Everything about this hostel was great and we liked it so much that we extended our stay. - Super location near to Shinjuku station and Golden Gai. - Plenty of common space to chill out in and meet other guests - there’s a cafe/bar on the ground floor as well as sofas, tables and chairs on every other floor. - Clean bathrooms and dorm room. - Comfortable beds. - Friendly staff. - Substantial breakfast (panini and potato wedges + coffee/juice). Suggestions to management: - Add hooks in shower rooms and bins in the dorm rooms - Fix the tumble dryers - Provide different breakfast options to suit guests staying for several days.

I enjoyed my stay there, the people are very helpful and friendly, I checked in after mid night and there was a stuff member awake. You can have a small safe for your valuable stuff for 1000 refundable when you return the key. There is a men only floor, women only floor and mixed floor and the reception is in the Gnd floor. The bed was clean, however people tend to leave their luggage in front of their bed, so it gets tricky to move to your bed. They serve a breakfast for 600 JPY which I found quite good, the breakfast is a set menu along with cereal and coffee or tea.

It’s roughly ¥4,000 a night and it’s fairly close to Shinjuku Station. Your luggage can be dropped off here prior to check-in time. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I will stay here again on my next trip to Shinjuku! Thank you!

Great if you are going to only stay a couple of nights, and don't mind hard beds and a little noise. Close to popular nightlife places. Personally I'm not coming back I think. I hope they remodel.

The room is spacious for a door room . I stayed in 6 shared dorm rooms . They have a clean japanese style bathroom and toilet . Clean , sanitized and English speaking reception . It's also a coffee shop downstairs. I see a lot of travellers from different countries staying here . They also have fast wifi ..I paid 2,880 and I booked my room via booking . Com . Overall it's a good place to stay as a female traveller. Great location. Highly recommended

The beds are way too hard and my bunk had a giant concrete slab hanging over it that I bumped my head on in the middle of the night. Its also in a very noisy area.

Social área was so dirty. No place to put your things, no way to secure your stuff from others in the room. Other guests were loud. I do not recommend this place.

There is this horrible stench all throughout the 10 bunk room. The suffocating BO of Indians/blacks, gym lockers containing underwear garments that haven’t been washed for months. Zero ventilation to air out the horrid stench. There’s a reason why it’s so cheap.

I've been staying here for the last few visits to Tokyo. It's relatively cheap compared to other hostels. The rooms are nice and each bed has a curtain for privacy but I wish they had individual lockers for each bed. You can rent a locker in the common rooms but in my opinion they aren't large. The spaces are always clean and the staff has always been very helpful. Location is pristine if you're looking to be close to drinking hubs (Golden Gai is literally a 5 min walk from here). Overall I keep coming back here for a reason, that being it's cheap, convenient, and location is good.

If you are traveling solo, or with a very small group of friends, I would definitely recommend staying here. Both times I stayed, I was in one of the 10 bunk rooms. Beds were good for what they were. Rooms were accessed via a code that was put onto a card which was given to you. The location is top notch with Golden Gai being a 3 to 4 minute walk to the east, as well as other various bars in Naka Street to the south. A convenience store as well as a small supermarket are also a minute walk away to the west and south respectively, with a larger supermarket further down the street to the west. If you're having a longer stay, there's a laundromat about 4-5 minutes away to the northeast. Also the staff at Imano Tokyo Hostel were very kind and helpful throughout the entire time. Take advantage of the happy hour they have, the ume sour was wonderful. Only real complaint that I could have would be that the wood on the bunk above you may creak a bit if you have someone above you struggling to get comfortable.

Location: Near metro and 10-15 min walking distance to Shinjuku JR Stn. Surrounded by food and 24 hours convenient stores. Showers area and Toilets: Enough not to cause waiting. Clean but the bins may not be emptied in time when it’s overflowed with tissue papers. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body foam. Water: water flask is at level 1. Hot water and cups are available too. Room: simple bunk bed with curtain, not totally sound proof but good enough unless you are light sleeper. The passageway is narrow so it can be difficult to pack or take things from your luggage when people are around. Each room is secured with a passcode to enter. You can also loan a small safe box. Your deposit will be returned fully when you return the key during check out. Female Dorm: FYI, it doesn’t mean male cannot come to this level. There is also a sign in the toilet that says male is allowed to use the toilet in the female dorm level if the toilets at other levels are occupied. There is a common area outside the female rooms for people to sit, chat, write…people can be chatting very loudly here if you don’t mind. Staff: friendly and helpful

Nice price and nice stay. If you’re traveling solo, then choose here is your top one. Very close to subway station and close to Shinjuku main business center. So you can have shopping or travel around the urban area around Tokyo by subway system

I stayed here for 2 nights, good location and nice staff. Bar downstairs which was great, beds are rock hard though. Otherwise facilities are good.

Great hostel, good location and price. Very clean bathrooms and shower rooms. Nice common space. Very friendly staff! Felt very safe there. The rooms were a little warm at night and the pillows could have been a bit better but overall great experience.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the 6 person female dorms. My friend and I did not get put in the same room, and my friend was made to switch her room half way to accommodate other bookings. These are common for budget capsule hotels, so it’s to be expected. The bed areas are a bit old and simple, but clean. I really liked that they had a furo (deep bathtub) for those sore muscles after our long daytime walks. Most amenities are charged (towels, etc) if this is your starting hostel I recommend packing your own, or start your trip in a different city/hostel where amenities are offered free and bring them. Location is good - walkable from metro and even JR if you only want to use JR pass. We did not purchase any food or drink here as there is so much around us. Lobby area is nice for socializing and has some board games available, although we were out for most of the days/nights so this was not very important. The staff was very friendly and chatty and helped me to make my cup noodle the “authentic” Japanese way, including what order to put the packets in, lol. The price is good - remember that it’s a hostel and your expectation will be clear. Thank you for hosting us and giving us a home in Tokyo for those memorable few days, Imano.

Elite staff - they all knew my name after seeing me once. Everything accomodation wise was great. Good vibe from travelers. Some evening events to socialize.

I stayed here for a night for 2,880 yen . Clean room , bathroom with Japanese style bath tub , they even provide plenty of shampoo and conditioner . The location is in the central area . It's also a coffee shop at the reception area. The receptionist speaks English and you don't need a key just remember your room password and the main door password coz they closed it at 11pm.

Really lovely place. It's very well maintained, and the staff are super kind, attentive and helpful. There's an on site bar, and they also serve food. The Japanese breakfast is amazing, very well priced. The rooms are tiny (it's Tokyo), but always clean and doesn't feel overcrowded. The bed is comfy and has a lot of privacy with a thick curtain all around it. Great amenities too.

First place I stayed at during my first visit to Japan this past summer and the service and staff were just amazing. They're super friendly and speak English, which made things a lot easier for our group. Price is great for a group of people, and the rooms are cozy and clean. The place is quiet and the location is great. There are convenience stores super close to the hostel within a 7 minute walk.

Great location and a short walk to convenience stores and the local metro. Hostel itself is kept very clean, good amount of amenities and they provide shower gel, shampoo etc. along with hairdryers, straighteners and even an iron should you require. Macky is a very friendly member of staff and goes out of his way to speak to guests and ensure their stay is good.

I really liked this place! They have fun evening activities, are close to convenience stores and the train station, offer women only dorms, staff speak very good English and are friendly, shared areas are adequate, and they offer a solid breakfast at a small cost. Some complained about the thin mattresses. I'm a stomach sleeper though, so I had a wonderful sleep on the stiffer beds! I would definitely recommend and come back.

The private rooms are very small. There is just enough room for your luggage and when it's time for bed, everything needs to go back into your bags. The staff spoke fantastic English and were really pleasant. We felt safe and the room was clean. Our floor had a single toilet and a single shower for men which were often occupied. After their night out, neighbours got quite loud. Laundry facilities are available. I liked the breakfast. Also, the place is really good value for money. Traveling with a kid (ours was 3) was not an issue. I'd recommend the place as long as you can deal with a very small room (note: Tokyo is not known for its large rooms).

Enjoyed my stay here, really close to a lot of attractions. It's dorm style so who knows who you'll be staying with but if that's a problem for you don't stay at a hostel. Friendly staff and they serve drinks so if you want to staying but still party... This the spot.

The best hostel in Tokyo. Have been back many times. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff and patrons are amazing. I miss not having the ability to return under the circumstances :(

Beautiful guesthotel, I went there in august 2018, it was really spécial and met a super nice worker. Breakfast, place near metro, market and restaurant. Good experience. But do never refuse shabu-shabu night party, you will regret it T.T
