I've
been
here
many
times
for
the
plum
festival.
This
is
a
wonderful
plum
garden.
Many
of
the
plum
trees
are
old,
and
their
branches
are
so
beautiful
that
they
become
picturesque.
In
recent
years,
due
to
global
warming,
the
flowers
are
in
full
bloom
from
the
end
of
February
to
the
beginning
of
March,
and
are
no
longer
around
the
vernal
equinox.
You
can
also
enter
Kobun-tei,
the
villa
of
Tokugawa
Nariaki
(extra
charge).
During
the
plum
festival,
there
are
stalls
selling
Mito
specialties
such
as
plum
sweets,
alcohol,
and
natto,
as
well
as
stalls
selling
boxed
lunches
and
ekiben.
A
permanent
store
is
located
next
to
the
main
gate.
If
you
have
an
admission
ticket,
you
can
come
and
go
as
many
times
as
you
like
on
the
day,
so
you
can
easily
visit
the
stalls,
souvenir
shops,
and
restaurants
in
front
of
the
main
gate.
