Anybody who has had a cat won't like this place. The cats don't like being petted and are generally rather fearful of customers. It is prohibited to hug or carry them. In other words it's mostly a place to watch cats and being charged by the minute for the privilege.

This place is good with really cute cats and cozy. But overpriced. The time starts as soon as you enter, which includes the time to take off you shoes and bag, put it in the locker, get a drink from the vending machine outside, put on new slipper and go inside. This will take you 10 mins for which you'll have to pay 220 bucks already. The same with leaving.. You can get a lollipop like thing to feed the cat for 500 bucks.. Gets crowded on a weekend.. The cats don't want to be pet, well because they are cats but will come to you if you have food.. The staff was nice I'd rate it more if they were not being so unfair with the money But overall it was a good experience I will say..

Lots of cats and cozy atmosphere to relax. We actually napped for few minutes in the matted lounge. The cats seem to be treated well though I have to say they get a lot of cat snacks from the customers. The staff were very nice and helped us get around. You’ll need to put your stuff and shoes in a locker, wear slippers etc. Knock down two stars because the coffee came from a vending machine and the experience was overall way too pricey.

Tough to write a bad review, but this just isn't worth it. It's not a cafe with cats it's a room with cats that you can bring a drink into but probably won't. It's a lovely room with cats, but the cats are just constantly around humans and thus don't care that much for you and the whole process of getting in and out is super stressful. You pay for half an hour which includes changing out of your shoes and packing everything in a locker and also getting everything back out of your locker...and you are worries about being on the clock. The locker and entrance is soooo cramped that it's just a bunch of anxiety. Then you go in with the cats and realize that the cats are sorta over people. It's a beautiful room and the cats are pretty and the staff is nice, but it's just a stressful experience getting in and out. Again the staff are nice, but this setup just fundamentally doesn't work.

Cute cats and lovely ambience. Free flow drinks at the vending machine. There is a locker to put your items. I paid about 1000yen per person for 30 mins(550yen for first 10mins and 200yen for every next 10mins). 1. Yes, most of the cats are not as friendly. They will come to you when there are treats but I think that is the case for my pets at home too sometimes. No money no honey. You might have to put in some effort to win their hearts but it really depends in luck (they are cats! 😺🤷🏻‍♀️) 2. Yes, they are strict on timing but I think the staff did explain clearly before entering that the time only stops when you return your keys to the counter. They are as punctual as Japan trains so do plan your time very accurately.

It was fantastic and all the cats were very nice and friendly. The staff was very sweet and there was good service! Loved that you could also buy treats there and that you could play with toys with the cats. Best place ever and would definitely recommend.

Very nice place to relax and play with cats. Fee already includes drink, hot or cold. Unfortunately, you cannot carry or lift the cats, you can only pet them and play with them.

We came to this branch of the cafe because we saw it on YouTube. And we weren't disappointed at all! The place is great for an experience with the cat's, at the entrance you can get all the information you need while waiting in the queue to enter. You have a locker room and vending machines to get yourself some snacks or drinks. The cafe has enough space to fit plenty of people, video games, and comfortable sofas. You can get snacks for the cats right there, and of course take plenty of pictures and videos. The cats are friendly, and seem to feel very comfortable around people. We even played a bit with the cats that are usually biting, but in our case they were friendly. Highly recommend to visit the place, alone, with friends or family, you will like to spend a few hours there.

Was my first time visiting a cat cafe, and I went in the evening. Most of the cats were probably tired since a lot of visitors came by during the day. You won’t expect a lot of interaction unless you buy a cat treat. Most cats seem to avoid when you try to touch them, even gently. I’m more disappointed at the fees charge which is rigid. If you exceed by a min, you are charged a full 10 min block. You can’t pay first before you take your belongings, wear your shoes and coat. These take additional time where you run the risk of exceeding into the next 10 min block. So do watch your time when you are there. Personally, it feels like I’m paying a lot watching cats from afar.

Very beautiful cat cafe with cool architecture. The main room has some bird cage-like beds that the cats like to sleep in, and it all makes for great photos. Theres also a giant window overlooking the street that the cats like to stare out of. There is a large variety of cats, and they are all very well groomed (very soft!). If theyre not paying attention to you, you can purchase cat treats from capsule machines and the cats will eat them right out of your hand! After you pay the entrance fee, you get a free drink from a vending machine, such as a coffee or tea. We had a great time! Highly recommend.

Beautiful cats and a relaxed atmosphere. I go any time when I'm in Tokyo. Some cats don't want to cuddle and that is because they are cats. But use the cat treat vending machine and you are the most popular person in the room.

The cats here all respond really well to normal cat interactions, like looking away until they're interested naturally, playing with toys provided to guests, and eating snacks and treats that you can buy for ¥100 or ¥500 apiece. The cats here go crazy for treats of all kinds. There's an area for reading manga and plenty of seating all around. At 1930, 30 minutes prior to closing and around the time of last call, the staff bring out the cats' food and guests can watch as the cats sit in a row eating their dinner. Afterwards, the cats will spend some time with the guests before the store closes. The only downside of this store is that it is a bit small compared to other MoCHA locations, but the WiFi here is really good.

It was ¥1100 for 30 minutes and strict rules on extra fees for overtime, including a drink bar. We went to mingle with cats, but the cats were not interested. They had some comic books, game consoles, and TV. It was a nice space but too small.

The cats were so cute! Unlimited drinks and locker storage were included in the ticket price, and they had cat treats available for purchase!

quiet and relaxing cafe. maybe its not for you if you have an expectation to heavily interact with the cats 100% of the time. the cats are happy to chill and sit with you but most are shy about being petted if you just met them. there was one cat that liked to have his butt patted firmly LOL

pretty expensive for an okay experience. its 980 yen just for the first half hour, then an extra 220 for every additional 10 minutes you spend there. be careful because even if you spend 30 seconds over, they will charge you for the entire 10 minutes. we got here right when they opened and got to see them eat, which was cute but it wasted 10-15 minutes where we weren’t allowed to interact with them. after, the cats did not really like to be pet and would walk away if we tried to pet them

Cats are rlly well taken care of but to buy snacks (to feed the cats) it’s kind of pricey and also the drinks are not hand made and from a vending machine. Overall a good experience with great decor and ambiance - though but would prefer better drinks.

Cute cats, They are not that friendly but They love cat snack. I love the atmosphere because the cafe is nice and good decoration! The price is okay compare to other shop. Friendly price for tourist.

The place is great for cute and cuddly cats. It is also a place to sit back enjoy after a tiring visit to shopping malls in Akihabara. Hot and cold drinks are included making this a must visit relaxing place for cat lovers. Though the price is a bit expensive I think it is worth it rather than just buying drinks in nearby vending machines.

Cats treated great and nice and fun but the timing part isn’t. Dragged customer service so we had to overpay. Other places were an hour for the same price so disappointed that

Seems to be exactly what you’d be looking for, if chilling out with cats around is your thing. Pleasant vibe and and a variety of environments, including video games and books, if you truly want to hang out and do your own thing. The cats are well cared-for. English available (both written and spoken by staff), and the 30-minute initial charge seems a reasonable cost and way to manage the experience. Drinks are available for purchase, as are cat treats, but neither are required.

If you loves cats, this is the place to come to! It was an overall great experience. The cats are all super friendly. However, when you whip out a treat (purchased from there), they are way more interested than the wand toys. The ambience was great and cats look happy and well looked after. It was very reasonably priced considering other cat cafes I had visited.

Lovely cafe, very clean and tidy and with lots of cats around, but with plenty of spaces and holes for them to get away from the humans of they want to too! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the process was very smooth and it was easy to just sit and enjoy the cats. They charge by the 10-minute block and its up to you to keep track of how long you've been there so just bear that in mind to maximize your time with the cats...!

Nice place to chill and relax. Free refreshments. Most of the cats stay asleep and are indifferent to cooing visitors. Few play with the cat toy sticks provided. The cats are treated very well and in good health, the staff are attentive to everyone's needs. Good for families with kids, but the more time you hang around, the higher the price you pay (for every 10 mins spent in the place).

Nice place! English language available at check in kiosk. staff is super friendly and helpful. not sure where those bad reviews came from for staff being rude. you get complimentary clean slippers and a locker to check in your shoes and bags. free refills of drinks at the vending machine. please know, Cats do their own thing and lounge. dont expect to cuddle and hold them. they will most likely avoid you if you keep following them. but still a good time. I made it to feeding at 10:30am. its fun to watch them all gather but they will be tired and full after. so dont bother trying to give them treats after feeding time or use cat toys to play. just like humans they want to chill after they eat. i went on a weekday morning and it wasnt crowded. at least 6 people including me. i only stayed 30mins and paid about 1200 yen. highly recommend their coffee milk. Will come back again before i leave Japan and when i am able to visit again.

I was expecting the cats to be more active but they mostly just wanted to sleep. This is a good place to go if you want to just chill with cats. This isn't the place to go if you want to play with the cats (unlike the mini pig cafe or shiba inu cafe), as they mostly do their own thing. If you're looking for a place to chill and do normal activities (read, go on your laptop etc) with cats then it's the place to do so. The place was well maintained, clean and modern.
