The atmosphere was really really good, although we went on dinner time there was not a lot of customers. I was able to get the steak with two sides for around $33. The server was helpful but we had to ask for the bread right before our plate was brought, and it took about 10min to cook and be brought to our table. We finished our drinks halfway through our meal and the server asked how everything was about 2 times and didn’t ask if we wanted a refill, which I didn’t think much of it but I don’t like to ask for things sometimes. Loaded potatoes and steak were amazing! Steak had few tendons but nothing your teeth won’t handle. If you order Mac and Cheese, you’re better off ordering it without the pepper and adding as you’d like, because they have salt and pepper on the tables and it’s a LOT of black pepper. Overall, I would come back again but Texas Road House sounds like a better option if you’re willing 🤷‍♂️.

Pretty darn good meal. Not overly expensive. Our table had the filets which were cooked perfectly, and the grilled salmon which was excellent! Wedge salads were huge and the bread was served hot and often. Had not been to an Outback in years but will return more often now!

Looking for some ribs in town. Service was awesome and drinks were amazing. Ribs were a little dry but not bad.

On a not so busy Sunday evening our order for 2 people took an hour. We are easy customers. The only request I had was for no pickles. What did I get? A nice juicy layer of pickles. My onion petals were just shy of burnt too. I know its a chain. But this was a pretty disappointing experience. Never coming back.

This place was really nice. It is clean inside and well managed. The service was good. They forgot a few small things which wasn’t that great but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The food is amazing here as always. Worth it if you are looking for some good steak.

UPDATE: Today, once again, great experience. This store is immaculate. I noticed how clean it was so then--almost as a joke--started doing a sort of "white glove" check of every surface I could reach. No dust anywhere. Like hospital operating room clean. Even the restrooms. It's an older store and needs refurbishing, but what they have today they keep spotlessly clean. Excellent service. Good food. Justin manages it well. Definitely go check it out.

Took my family to dinner here. I was real disappointed with the food. We ordered macaroni and cheese for the little ones, Alice creek chicken, steak and lobster, fried chicken. Etc. EVERYTHING tasted the same. The seasoning was way too much. They use too much chili pepper. They even put it in their ranch dressing dip. It's been 20 years since I been to the outback and I will not be back. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the waitress did a good job.

Excellent food, great service and frendly staff. While like all outback it's a little pricey, the food was very good and well seasoned

This restaurant has an inviting, comfortable atmosphere. The meal was absolutely delicious! My steak was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The blooming shrimp were great! The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening and hope to return soon.

My experience at Outback was not 5 stars. Let me start by saying our server and any staff we interacted with did excellent. The food and the messy/out of date restaurant pulled my rating down to 3 stars. My steak, ordered medium rare, was quite overcooked (see photo), and everything else was just okay. The floor under our table was really messy, and the restaurant felt old and dark inside. I wouldn't recommend this place. It's not cheaper than other options that are much better in Idaho Falls. If you want a cheap steak, go to Texas Roadhouse. The food over there isn't world-class, but at least they are fast, professional, clean, and know when to pull your meat off the grill.

The food and service here were excellent and Mia was a phenomenal server. Very friendly, courteous and prompt, not to mention attentive. All of the staff I witnessed were friendly, knowledgeable and treated the guests well which is not something I’ve seen often. Now for the food. I started with the blooming petals, an advertised smaller version of the infamous blooming onion, and how can you not do the onion at an Outback? I seriously doubt it was any smaller, the portion size was huge! I also had the steak salad, which was very flavorful and the steak was cooked to medium rare perfection and extremely tender. For how it was advertised, I would have loved more garden veggies and blue cheese, but it was still a good salad and the recommended dressing complemented well with the flavors. Mia convinced me to try a side and I decided to try the Mac and cheese, which was good, but the flavors did not pair well with those of the salad, so it was not my cup of tea with this meal. Had I known it would be $6.45, I don’t think I’d have done it, but I do commend Mia for the way she worked the menu items, as a former restaurant owner, I wish more of my servers had been that well versed, so I always love seeing that effort. I finished the meal with the new dessert they were featuring. I’m struggling to recall the creative and quirky name they had for it, but it was as tasty as it looked. Mine was served perfectly, but the couple seated behind me also ordered one and it was pretty well frozen. I love the drinks at the Outback restaurants, so decided to try two of the new signature drinks. The watermelon mojito was phenomenal and very refreshing, mixed perfectly and the balance of flavors was fun! Felt like summer on the beach in the dead of winter. The Aussie coffee on the other hand needs to go back to the drawing board. I was really looking forward to pairing it with the dessert, but the alcohol was way too strong and the coffee used was very distasteful. It was extremely overpowering and almost tasted burnt. It honestly was not drinkable and I ended up leaving over 3/4 of it untouched. It was an unfortunate and disappointing end to an otherwise incredible meal. I knew the two items I was gambling on were fairly new and as such I’m not going to let them influence my review as the overall experience was great. Every plate that went out looked incredible and I was overall very pleased with the meal and service. The menu boasts quite a few new items and features, but there’s still all the familiar classics. I would highly recommend this location and I think wether dining alone, or as a family or group, there’s something for everyone and you’ll enjoy yourself.

The last two times me and my wife have been in the food has been very good (I had chicken tender the last time they were great) the wait staff was very friendly and did a fantastic job. We will definitely be going back. Thanks for making this a great place to eat again.

I like Outback. I had a good dinner, but 3 of us ordered strawberry topping on out Cheesecake slices. All 3 got Raspberry topping which was just sweet as heck. The Cheesecake was amazing but those toppings made it sickeningly sweet. Just a heads up.

In town on business and ate here two nights in a row. The ribeye was amazing, cooked and seasoned to perfection! The restaurant was super clean and my waiter both nights was Caysen. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend.

Waitress never did refill my drink. It was my wife's birthday. I mentioned it to them. Ya know they used to bring a Lava cake and some ice cream. They didn't even say happy birthday. Last time I go there and blow $50.00!

My Nana didn’t like her soup, it was too salty (Potao). Our server Kelsey was so nice!!! The Ahi Tuna was like the goddess of the sea made it 😩😋 The Tim Tam cake was so good as well!

We wanted to have steak after shopping in US Chef, and want to give Outback IF a try(since we had great experience in Boise). The interior has a cabin like atmosphere, the staff are super friendly. Our server make us feel very welcome and comfortable, give us the vibe of a family owned business instead of just another franchise restaurant. Our kids love the kids meal, the price is good and comes with juice. I love their lemonade, the Huckleberry mango flavored Lemonade is a must try if you love Lemonade. The steak is well seasoned and cooked to medium rare as how we like it. I love the dark honey bread they serves but the best surprise was the soup. The clam chowder was super delicious and thick(most places doesn't serve soup right so I was a little worried but it turned out to be a great choice). P.S. We had such great experience last time, so we visit again today on our 8th year anniversary. Love our Valentine's Day special(great price and served quickly). My husband tried the loaded potato soup and he LOVES it(he finished it so quickly I didn't get to try it)! Outback IF will be our go to place when we want steak from now on. Thanks again for giving us a new place to eat out^^.

Our table ordered 2 steaks. 1 was medium rare and 1 was medium. The steak to be cooked medium came out barely cooked. When the server saw the doneness of the steak she sincerly apologized and took it to the kitchen for a reheat. It came out the second time at rare to a medium rare cook. The server apologized again and returned it to the kitchen. While waiting we noticed the center of the med rare steak was quite rare as well. The med steak came back from the kitchen brought by Skylar Dial, the proprietor of the restaurant. The exchange we had with him was incredibly unpleasant and demeaning. We showed him the med rare steak and how rare it was in the middle with the only hope that there could be a discussion with the kitchen staff since 2 steaks weren't cooked correctly. His response was that we were wrong and that this restaurant cooks their steaks to a lower finishing temp. My girlfriend mentioned she'd never had a med rare steak that rare and in a belittling tone he said that's how we do it. He set the med steak down and said cut it and see if it's cooked right then he walked off. The server came out later and apologized for the way Skylar treated us. She let us know it would be her last night there because of how horrible the working conditions were. We let her know we work in the restaurant industry and felt she had been great and felt bad for how the proprietor was acting. She said she hoped she'd done well but didn't think she had because Skylar had chewed her out in a vulgar manner in the back for not bringing out bread to us. Skylar Dial my hope is you read this and understand we weren't attacking you or your restaurant. I also hope you recall the interaction and make some improvements to the way you treat others. Don't let that proprietor title fuel your ego to the point it drives away your customers and employees.

The atmosphere and service were great. Unfortunately, we came in for a particular dish that was no longer on the menu. My father is extremely particular in that respect. The recipe of the blooming onion changed as well. My father has a sub par experience. The chicken ceaser salad that I had was good. The chicken didn't quite "match" the salad for taste but was definitely palatable.

We went late on a Saturday. The cook Adam did a phenomenal job! Awesome cook and they have a very large gluten-free menue! Including gluten-free dessert that's to die for! Highly recommend and that cook needs a raise! The service was amazing also!

The food was awful and server forgot half of our food. When we got the check it said one total and our signature copy stated a higher total. We asked the server she said oh I've never seen that before. Made us feel like she was giving herself a tip before we even wrote a tip. It was fishy, I will not be back, dishonest place to eat.

I understand employee shortages, but they're truly is no excuse for being ignored by your server. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had dining out in a long time. I would be very hard-pressed to even consider going back to this establishment. Anyone reading this review I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have a fantastic experience, because mine was not good at all. The best thing I can say, is the food was good.

We celebrated a few birthdays and it was so nice to be able to do call ahead seating. We had children with us and it was nice to avoid all the wait time. The service was great! They also allowed us to bring our own cake. It was wonderful!

My wife and I ate at Outback in Idaho Falls tonight. I had the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. The chicken as over cooked and tough, the noodles were under cooked and leathery, and there was almost no Alfredo sauce on it. I ordered more sauce. It came with my to go box as we were leaving. My wife had the Alice Springs chicken. She said it was very good. However, she has Celiac and must have gluten free food. She shared this with our waitress. The waitress assured us the Alice Springs chicken is gluten free and they would take extra precautions to make sure her food was safe. Within 30 minutes of leaving the restaurant, my wife had a severe gluten poisoning reaction. Needless to say, there is no reason for us to go back.

Staff was extremely nice. However steak was not cooked as ordered and WAY over-seasoned.

Food was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. The employees were friendly and on point with their service, not overbearing and synthetic. I personally appreciate that balance and recommend this place entirely.
