Apparently there's an All you can eat option but because we were tourists they gave us an a la carte menu. The food was pretty pricey and we decided to eat at Kura right after but the meat was good. Unfortunately the place does allow smoking so if you don't like the smell then I think you should skip this place

Poor service. Staff not friendly to tourists. Almost empty during lunch and you would think the customer service would be better. Located in a place frequented by tourists they might as well write "tourists not welcome here."

We walked for miles through this marketplace. With all the places to eat along the way it must be impossible not to stop and eat at least once. We picked this place at random and I am glad for it. We got one of the small tables near the entrance which did not seem congested at all, in fact it was interesting to watch people come and go, possible locals and/or other tourists. Cooking on the grill was a first for me and I loved it; fun and different from Western norms. The service was friendly, the beer was very good, and the atmosphere could not have been better for a tourist, in my opinion. Apparently we arrived just before rush hour because the place filled up by the time we started BBQ our dinner. Great experience and would do again. Part of why I took the hassle to find the place on Google Maps, a follow-up visit to Osaka might be in the works. Would not hesitate to go back, yet there are so many places to eat and visit. Osaka was awesome and this facility furthered that experience. Wish there was more English for tourists; Taipei had more English with easier trains to navigate.

Great food, and extremely friendly staff. Very retro atmosphere, and you cook over your own charcoal grill. Smoking is allowed, which is nice. Each table has its own ventilation system, so the smoke shouldn't bother non-smokers.

Was recommend this place by friends and if did not disappoint! Food was extremely yummy, especially the beef and pork. The charcoal grill brings out the flavour of the meat and overall experience for us. They do accept reservations so do drop by to request if you are early.

One of the better BBQ joints in the Dotonburi precinct (actually more Korean rather than Japanese). It's interior is definitely old school.. right down to the method of grilling... Nothing beats BBQ on hot charcold as the taste of meat is totally different compared to that using electric or gas grills. The meat cooks slower thereby sealing in the flavours within keeping it moist and tender. The overall quality of the meat is simple tops, especially the kalbi beef. All the marbled fats just makes it absolutely scrumptious! BTW smoking during meals is allowed and expected! Very civilised. Personal I reckon these best way to eat these BBQ beef is the following: 1. Grill the beef to medium rare 2. Dip in a tad of miso paste n that special BBQ sauce 3. Lay it on a piece of shiso leaf (or lettuce) 4. Add in a reasonably generous portion of kimchi 5. Wrap everything in the shiso leaf and shove it into mouth. 6. Munch till all becomes much n the flavours are fully ingested..swallow 7. Follow up with a good swig of sochu or sake. Heavenly 8. Heavenly food osgasmic experience... 😊

Tbh we only came here because my original choice of yakiniku had been booked up. But this place provided delicious meats at a reasonable price, and the staff were friendly and accomadating to our non-japanese speaking needs. But the restaurant allows smoking indoors, which is a bummer for me.

Japanese yakiniku style with a charcoal grill. The skirt steak and cow tounge were the best dishes.

Nice atmosphere and great service. They came over to take my order once I grabbed the Menu. You can make your reservation via Google to save waiting time.

Kobe, Wagyu and blade steak taste very good. Great services even we don't speak Japanese. 😅

Randomly walked in to try the tongues, but the highlights were the kalbi cuts. They melt in your mouth and price reasonably at less than 1K yen per plate. The service kinda makes you feel rushed (they immediately clear your plates), but it was a good dinner overall.

The service staff was very lively, cheerful, helpful and welcoming. The food was served fast and the charcoal grill experience was memorable. The food was fresh and the rice was fragrant. We enjoyed it very much and the price was reasonable and affordable. We will return again.

Went there two days in a row. Tried all types of beef and chicken. Recommended. Go between 4-7 for happy hour for 190 yen. No cover charge. Staff were fun to talk to, the ones that spoke English anyway.

Food, especially meat, was good, but service was little bit chaotic.. had to wait for the rice longer than for the grillstuff.

Loved this place. Food, which you cook for yourself on a mini table bbq, was out of this world. All sorts of meats to choose from, including, if you're adventurous, offal. We had beef and sausages and we ordered them three times, it was so good. Staff were friendly and quick to serve. It wasn't just food, it was an experience.
