Easy hike alongside the sounds of a trickling river and birds chirping. There is a nice suspension bridge along the trail and several small waterfalls you can choose to swim in. Loved this weekend morning time spent enjoying nature!!

I love a good hike. It’s beautiful. Optional paths for different skill levels. Apart of Patapsco State Park near swinging bridge.

This part of the Patapsco Valley Park system is phenomenal! I really loved it. There are so many trails to take, but the most amazing trail is the one that leads to the cascading waterfalls. As you take the cascading trail, you will see and pass several waterfalls and babbling brooks. I kid you not, this park has mossy logs, large trees, winding trails, and hills. Most of the trails are consider easy although as you get to higher elevations the path can get narrow and for me, a little scary. I took a walking stick with me to help cross the many streams we encountered. Its helpful to use a walking stick to help balance on the stream rocks as you cross the streams. There is a point on the trail where you approach the major waterfall and in order to keep going on the trail you'll have to navigate through the large boulders close to the falls. Everyone I saw made it through the boulders. This park looks untouched by human hands and it looks very natural. You won't be bored. I plan to make my third visit there soon. If you take your dog, he/she must be on a leash and please be ready to transport out any poop that happens. Wear hiking boots since you'll be crossing multiple streams.

Beautiful hiking trails with varying difficulty. A great place for a family day. You can swim in the river or fish. There are picnic areas and covered Pavillions. I wish I lived closer, I would visit often

The view and atmosphere is so worth the drive. There is a fee of $3 per person upon entry. I will say please download the map of the trail beforehand since you may have connectivity issues. There is so much to see and very nice places to take great photos. I will say, better markers of the trails could be improved especially if people have knee or mobility issues and cannot handle steep incline or deep terrains. There was one part of the trail we took which was very scary getting down, which at some point I had to sit and slide down on my bottom to get down safely.

Great hiking and bike trails. The hills are easy to climb and the waterfall is small but a good photo opportunity.

Our favorite hike to do as a family. Quick 10min hike up to the falls then the trail continues on. Our kids love to go further along the trail and play in the creek which leads to other small water falls. Blue paint markings along the trees make the path easy to follow. Perfect hike for a family.

$3.00 per person admission fee to the park they do accept cards and cash. This is a beautiful part of Patapsco State Park. Its a short walk from the swinging bridge to the falls. Those who want a longer more challenging hike I recommend starting from the 1101 Hilton Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228 entrance and walking the full trail to the swinging bridge and across to the falls.

Disclaimer: I have to the cascade falls once, but won't be the last. I did the fall loop and some more with my kids who had a great time. It is full of sights and smaller falls. I found many spots to connect with nature, as other noises get suppressed near those smaller falls, and yet the senses looking out for a safety factor are are not overwhelmed.

It cost $2 to enter the park. We parked at the farthest parking lot that ended by the porta potties. Must note there was no cell service. So i recommend you download the trail (we didn't). There was a sign that said cascade trail but the falls are actually at the sign that says hiking ( Next to the Porter potties and stairs). We ended up walking 7 miles. The threat to the falls is actually short when you walk up the stairs walk towards the left and you'll eventually end at the falls it took us Maybe 10 minutes to get there. We followed the trail up the rocks and continued on we found that there were many trees that were marked blue and there were many trails we just happened to take the wrong trail apparently because we ended up at a road in a neighborhood. We found our way about 3 miles later down the road to another portion of the park. However it was on the wrong side of the park. To be fair there were signs that said trail closed but we were so tired we followed others around those signs and ended at a bridge where we could see our cars. However that bridge has a locked gate so technically you can't walk across the bridge to get to your car. But we were so tired we climbed around the fence. If you are a light hiker who just enjoys the walk I recommend you follow the trails that take you to the right maybe they will get you to your car in less than 7 miles. The falls are pretty and seeing the water run was very nice. We will be back but my only complaint is that it's just not clearly marked.

I love this park! It’s getting harder and harder to get in though. Ever since grist mill closed you need a reservation to get in on the weekends. Definitely check the md state parks Twitter before going to see if the park is closed.

I'd say if you hike regularly this trail is probably easy to mod but if you are a novice I'd say mod. The beginning and end were a bit challenging but the middle was easier. Some of the markings were confusing and we got lost for a bit trying to do the blue circle path but figured it out. Not much service but maps did work thank goodness. Tons of shade much appreciated.

This is a great place to hike! This was my second time here. Plenty of parking. This time I walked beyond the water falls. I would say this is a moderate hike if you stop at the water fall. The bridge was closed at the other end.

Beautiful trail, but no signs to speak of. Very easy to get lost with all the intersecting trails.

Very small fall, but nice outdoors.... easy hike and if you park on Landing Road there is almost no parking there, only on the side of the road. And you can bring your horses or bicycle too :)

Great hike. A bit hard to start up hill but worth it. The falls were pretty but nothing to write home about. But beautiful hike.
