Very neat and vibrant spot . You can walk through the man made mahagony forest and reach the Illithode eco spot . It’s really pretty in monsoons . Not crowded . There’s a tea shop inside the spot . This place offers a peaceful ride into the depth of nature. Its really amazing to feel the fresh air here.. An isolated place near river periyar with plenty of birds, different verify of butterflies and big trees will definitely gives you a chance to experience the real nature.. And the river banks is another wonder, I have visited this place both in rainy season and summer.. And it offered me two different experiences. The river is like a beautiful beast here.. beautiful and dangerous at the same time...

Can take pictures, play, sit quietly, walk through the woods,play and watch the beauty of river.Rest places are provided in the river bank and also in the woods for taking a small rest during your walk and to enjoy the nature. Also can here the music of nature if u walk through the woods. Not recommended for ladies who are alone since it is some times less crowded.guards are present here who are free to explain and clear our doubts if you have any.

A beautiful tourist spot with serene views. A walk through the Mahagony forest and a relaxing spot near the banks of Periyar. The place has been secured well with guards and other staff. Permitting people to enter the river , there is also space for changing clothes. It was a really weekend getaway.

Best place to relax during weekends in nature. Can bath, hike for a little through the forest. Enjoy the wind, sun, forest,swings, monkeys😂, sometimes rain, cold water etc. family friendly and kids friendly .

The serene environment of the place gives a good vibe to the whole place. The ticket fees are very reasonable.The water in the river is clear, you can carry the food with you and serve there. You can also spend time in the river, which is not so deep. * if you're lucky some Elephants might pay you a visit as well :)

It's a great place to be with nature. It has a neat walkway with trees and plants around leading us to a small river where we can swim and bath. It has clear water and is not so deep so children can also join the bath. Security guards are there and some swings there too. It's overall a wonderful experience if you are a nature lover

Nice place to relax, there is not much to see but to walk through forest and Mahogany Garden and the river at the end, breath fresh air and love nature, Feel and share your experience...

Better in the evening. Otherwise very hot. Car parking available, a small shop is also there. Barely two kilometres road is not in good condition. Staff friendly. Careful about the monkeys.

Lovely and Beautiful. The place gives one the feeling of being one with the nature. The serenity and calmness of this place makes one very relaxed. In a very stressful life of ours, these place is a retreat, a place where you can enjoy the nature and it's beauty, and to feel even better. One can take a dip in the river nearby. I visited the place with my family quite a few months back. I have to say this place is wonderful and mesmerising in all the ways. Definitely a must visit place for eco lovers.
