An embarrassing service. There are many reasons as to why my dinner was received so poorly. To start off with: Schandis listing as “Cozy outdoors seating” doesn’t seem to fit what I experienced. The restaurant was well visited by heavy smokers; the vile smell of cigarette and e-liquids (from the next door shisha lounge) was quite frankly disgusting, to the point where smoking should have been prohibited inside of the restaurant and its “cozy” outdoor seating. Unfortunately, service was not much better. After asking twice for a simple water bottle it took at least 20 minutes for someone to bring it. Likewise, after asking for extra hummus, it was never actually brought to our table, yet it was still charged for on our bill. The food was very good to start off with however sadly upon finally being served our main dishes (which took between 1 and 2 hours to deliver) the extreme saltines made the food quite hard to enjoy. I cannot say that I had a pleasing dinner at Schandis considering the sum of the bill, but I hope that in the future this Persian establishment can provide faster and better service.

Wir waren heute wieder einmal nach langer Zeit im Shandis und wurden herzlich empfangen und wie immer mit sehr köstliche, persische Gerichte verführt. Höchste Qualität in den Zutaten merkt man schon beim ersten Biss und bis hin zum letzten Happen. Die Gastfreundlichkeit und der exzellenter Service von Massud und Dunya haben unser Abendessen noch angenehmer gemacht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt in diesem Restaurant ebenfalls und ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wer Fleischspezialitäten mag, wird dieses Restaurant leben. Very nice place for a high-end business or private dinner. The meat is high-quality (and halal). The ambience is calm and comfortable. If you have a large party it may takes a bit of time for food to be served but the quality of the food is good. Happy to return.

Es gab von der Vorspeise bis zur Nachspeise rein gar nichts was nicht auf den Punkt zubereitet gewesen wäre oder nicht geschmeckt hätte. Das bleibt im Gedächtnis und wir kommen selbstverständlich gerne wieder! Weiterhin ist die Bedienung äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend und man fühlt sich wohl. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Man begeht einen groben Fehler wenn man nicht das 3-Gänge-Menü nimmt. Der Umfang der Speisen spricht für sich.

I dare to say the best persian retaurant i’ve been to in Germany. it is comparable to the ones in Tehran. Juicy chenjeh, best Koobide. The staff are nice and friendly and cared alot about every detail that we told them. The tee was boiling when they served it. I lived the place and the experience. A must go when you are in Frankfurt craving Kebab.

Wir waren mit vier Personen zum ersten Mal dort. Ich persönlich hatte vorher überhaupt keine Erfahrung mit persischen Gerichten. Also hat uns der sehr freundliche Kellner uns das Menü ans Herz gelegt. Quasi ein Querschnitt der persischen Küche. Das war die beste Entscheidung. Das Essen war einfach nur 1+ mit Sternchen... Der Service war von allen Beteiligten über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Vom Beginn bis zur Verabschiedung einfach eine grandiöse Erfahrung. Vielen Dank für dieses Erlebnis.

Wir sind zufällig bei der Suche in Google auf dieses wunderbare Restaurant gestoßen. Die Gerichte sind mit ganzbesonderer Liebe und Kreativität zubereitet und dekoriert. Sozusagen ein Augenschmaus! Alles sehr lecker und geschmacklich hervorragend abgestimmt. Alles läuft mit professioneller Ruhe und besonderer Freundlichkeit ab. Sehr „familiär“ unaufdringlich, also zu Wohlfühlen. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung und sehr gemütliche Stühle / Sessel am Tisch. Besonders hat uns gefallen, dass man bei Nachfrage viel über die Gericht lernen kann. Wir planen schon den nächsten Besuch in diesem Restaurant mit gehobenem Anspruch

The best Persian Restaurant I have been in Germany. I definitely recommend it. All kebab were good specially Chendje kabab.

In my perspective, the best persian restaurant in the town. Significant point is the professionalism of crew serving dishes and wine as well as being polite and kind. The ambiance is warm and persian old fashioned reminding me to my childhood in Iran. The food is also really acceptable.

A good Persian restaurant. The food quality is acceptable but a little bit pricey. You can think about sharing the dishes with some extra rice. The positions are big enough.

The food is really tasty and the place is very nice and classy. It's a bit expensive though.

My first try with Persian food. Easily accessible with public transport. The food tasted amazing. The Kebaps were exemplary. The chicken & lamb Kebaps were so tender and juicy that it made a lasting impression. Friendly staff who cared. Average waiting time is 15-20 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. It’s possible to reserve a table using google maps. The ambience adds to the coziness. Even the dessert with pistachios smeared on it had a style and substance. For 2 people it cost 70 euros as we took a 3 course menu. Must try 👍🏽💪🏼

We planned our travel route from Colorado to Europe to include a stopover in Frankfurt to be sure we had a chance to eat at Shandis. We ate at Babam the year before and met Masoud who was an absolute gem. Our dinner at Shandis remains one of our best meals in our 5 week travel through Germany,Italy and France. We talked about our meal so many times- We are already planning another trip so we can visit all 3 of their restaurants . Hands down the best Persian food we have come across.
