Ordered a $30+ pizza on Tuesday, 6/8. Pizza was burned badly. Called today and supervisor (Kristen) refused to do anything. For the money I paid I really expected better service.

Pizza is great. Crust is on the thicker side, which we love. Lots of cheese. Very tasty. We ordered two mediums and we could have split one.

Great, awesome pizza! Antipasto salad was very good. Staff was very kind and friendly, one of new favorites when in San Diego area. I really recommend then

We loved this place. Great food and servers. Warning 2 people can split a single dinner. Or have leftovers for a couple days. Either way it is a win. Eggplant parm comes with an entire spaghetti dinner as a side.

Saturday night and the place was full, and still the service and the food was great, definitely I'm coming back, and recommended 100%. Thank you to all the crew kitchen included 😀

We love this place!! Look at that cheese! This is a medium pepperoni, meatball and bell pepper pizza. We love their meatballs.

Nice chilled atmosphere and quick friendly service in the restaurant. I had to send my lasagne back as the sauce was cold but it was quickly replaced. Even the half portions were too much for me! The only problem I had was the sulky youngster on the check out. My card didn't work in the machine (no problem anywhere else with it!) No smiling helpful assistant, no a scowl and a roll of her eyes! I think she needs to go on a customer care course

Providing this review is a bummer for me. I love the Filippi's downtown and I love IB, but our IB location is so hit and miss concerning their food. They have no quality control or consistency. Now I have had good enjoyable comfort food from this location in the past, but my last two visits the Pizza was inedible (well I eat one piece to decide it was no worth eating). The crust was doughy and soggy anywhere there was toppings. And the salads seems to be made at the beginning of the week and just set in there tins waiting for someone to purchase one, which I guess causes the browning lettuce. Besides the browning lettuce before eating you have to dump out the water that has collected in the bottom of the tin. Filippi's Management, Please order a few meals yourself and see if you would be happy spending your own money on it.

Very impressed with the size & amount of cheese on the GLUTEN FREE pizza! And it was super delicious!

First time to this local chain. It was a very good experience all in all. My fiancé and I had the medium veggie pizza and the dinner chicken parmigiana and it was A LOT of food, we were extremely full at the end and the price is very fair. Waitress was so efficient and helpful. Place was very clean. Definitely going back soon!

my family and I love Filippi's Pizza Grotto. We don't visit often, but it never disappoints when we do. The staff could be a little more friendlier but not bad. The food is really good.

Great local chain of family restaurants. Authentic Italian food, same across multiple San Diego locations. Huge portions. Large pizza easily would served 3-4 adults, cheese was over the toppings. Pasta was fresh and sauces were awesome. Very nice outdoor patio area at this location.

It's a fine place on vacation but it's pizza and chicken parm was very mid for being 16 dollars each. The servers would go a long time without checking on us and they weren't even busy. But I will say give it a try on a vacation to the beach it's a nice place right after a swim.

So far, I have been here strictly for carryout, but this chain is legendary, locally, and has never disappointed. I love to come get their great food if I am in the neighborhood.

Friendly casual restaurant with some nice family sized portions. This location is close to the beach, its nice to walk down after if you have a chance. The parking lot isn't big here, about 15 spots, and they have added outside seating with covering now. The pizzas are delicious, if you love cheese, you're gonna be happy, they make them with So.Much.Cheese! The antipasto is another fave and we also like ordering the meatball on the side. The spaghetti and lasagna combo is delish as well, and you can have it with meat sauce or marinara. We've gotten their spumoni for dessert, and the kids love it, we all share it. They have music playing inside, and there are restrooms available as well.

I got the half and half ravioli and lasagna. Lasagna was REALLY good and so much sauce. Yummy. The small salad is big enough for 2 to share. Garlic cheese bread was also amazing

Great time here! I ordered the works pizza, which has pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Everything tasted great, and I was especially impressed with the strength and texture of the pizza crust--no droop at all. Service was also very good.

If you like Italian food then this is the place you want to be. Food is served family style but I usually only get pizza here. They have a wide variety of toppings to make your own or you can order one that they offer. Food os cooked to order so you'll be waiting for a few but hey, your order will be hot when it reaches your table. Excellent place to take an entire family or groups. You can also order a bottle of chianti and write on it and they'll hang it up for all to see! I recommend this place for Italian food lovers of all kinds!

Friendly staff, delicious food…. Beef ravioli and pizza to die for!

I would of given 5 stars but there were issues but all the issues we had the server Margarita fixed and made everything great. But great food and delicious Pizza. Big shout out to the server for making it a better evening without her it would of been just good food.

This pizza is made for cheese lovers, it has a crazy long cheese-pull!! And if you are a ranch on your pizza person this place has the best ranch!

Great place to visit if your in San Diego. Imperial Beach to be exact! Two blocks from the water is this cozy little Italian place FiIlippi's Pizza Grotto. Greeted at the door by happy smiling staff, quickly sat us down and took our drink order. Our waitress was great never missed a beat. So I started with the Garlic Cheese bread a must for you cheese and bread lovers. The Chicken ceased Fantastic and piled high! The clam lenguini and chicken fettuccine Alfredo are excellent choices too. Now if your looking for a sandwich then the torpedo is for you! Hands down the best torpedo I've had in a long time. Glad we stopped in, we will definitely be back soon! Thank you Filippi's!!

Would you like cheese with your pizza? This place has the best cheese per slice for your pizza, throw on some toppings and your set. I prefer my pizza extra crispy, it works all around for the crust and cheese. This place does not disappoint, eat in or take out. Dig in.

The did was delicious, and big servings. We went there with family for a night out for dinner, so many options: pasta, pizza, and sandwiches and more. The pizza say 8 slices but they are new York size so 1 is really 2 and delicious. A large salad Fed about 7 people, pasta Fed about 4 people. So much leftovers but delicious food, and great staff. highly recommend.

Picked up a to go order. Bring your appetite because portions are huge. Had a torpedo sandwich which was outstanding, and could only eat half. Anti pasto salad was great too. Great for families. Will go again.

My first time a group of us had dinner for Valentine's Day. The service was quick even though there was a line. We sat outside underneath the tent they had heating lamps. I had a half and half plate spaghetti and ravioli. It was amazing from the fresh bread to the sangria. Also loved the side of sausage they make their own with drool worthy sauce lol
