If you are in Imphal and new to manipuri cuisine, then it is a must visit place for you. Located at one minutes' walk from Ima keithel (Ima market), 10 minutes' walk from Kangla fort, it serves lunch Thali in manipuri ( meitei) style. Fish is the only non vege item served here. Dal, Iromba with soijin/Soibum ( fermented bamboo shoots), one boiled item, mixed vege with Yongchak are among 8/10 dishes served. Singju and Bora were however missing from their list. It's service closes by 3/4 pm. Dinner not available here. Price per thali is around INR 200 and it worths it's price. Ambience : very good. Very clean.

Must visit The food was good and tasty and reasonably priced. Fish thali is around 230 per person. The quantity and options are plenty and some of it is very unique and tasty. Depending on the taste one should like the food. The ambience is clean and they maintain proper hygiene. Those you want to try authentic manipuri thali; should have food from this place.

The best known place for outsiders to have Manipuri thali. You need to be in early to savour the food, delectable cuisine. I visited this place after more than one and a half years and I found the upkeep little run down or was it because I reached late! But if one wants real Manipuri food with lesser fuss, there are small canteens near bus stand in Imphal too.

The place is located close to the Ima Market, in the heart of Imphal. Here, you'll get authentic Meitei Thali, customisable up to 36 dishes. One of the main dishes is the Sareng Thongba (Catfish). My thali had the following: Hawai Thongba, Shareng Thongba, Rohu Ataoba, Soibum Eromba, Sougri Thongba, Ooti, Marinkha Ngouba, Bora Thongba, Rajma, Heining Thongba, Chao-hao Amubi Kheer.

I didn't relish much. I guess a lot of hype about this place. Maybe local people like it. The menu contains just two things fish thali and Sherong thali. Costing 200/- & 250/- INR respectively. Both the thalis are very spicy, so even our daughter couldn't have much. The review is based on my taste buds and experience. Won't even give three Stars. Coming from outside and having food here, afterwards you might require pudin Hara just on a lighter note.

Though the thali has a variety of options it wasn't up to the expectation taste wise. While with just ₹200 it's fair enough with the amount of ingredients. I hope it improves more in the near future.

Since there is so much hype and good reviews about authentic manipuri veg and non-veg thali available here at Luxmi Kitchen, we went to try it. First, the wait time is quite longer than expected. Second and the worst part of all, the food served is not hygienic as I found a black maggot in the rice which I returned immediately for a change but found a black rice bug on the replacement too. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the black maggot measuring about 1 cm in length. Third, the quality of rice served is not good at all as it is mixed with rice exported from outside the state locally known as superfine rice instead of using authentic local rice. Fourth, the food doesn't taste as authentic as it should be and the quality of every dish is below par compared to any other rice hotel in the surrounding areas and most of them taste too salty. Fifth, the waiters entirely forgot to serve all the items in a thali which they rectified as soon as we reminded them. And finally, the only good thing to consider is they have provided a hand wash area with good running water and soap. Will never visit again nor suggest anyone to visit it.

The best palce in Inphal for Manipuri good. You can't miss this palce if you are in Imphal. Place is not very big but simple and clean. You have two options Vegetarian Thali or Non-vegetarian thali. Food includes rice, vegetables, different type of Fish items some chatni and some sweet item . Service is really first. Food is local and really tasty. Price is reasonable . If you want to test authentic Manipuri Food then this is the place for you. Service is good. Taste 5/5 , Price 5/5 ambiance 3/5 . Value for money 5/5

The best place to go to in imphal to experience an authentic Manipuri thali. Been to many other places too, like sekmai, thoubal, etc but none has been as hygienic and authentic as luxmi kitchen. There's a fixed thali, you get only fish. The variety of other dishes too is amazing. Highly recommend it to everyone. Only thing I dislike is the parking. Very hard to find parking. So either come in a 2 wheeler or hire an auto/ taxi and come.

Locals claim that authentic and tasty manipuri veg and non-veg is served here. The rice and Fish curry is particularly tasty.

Good authentic manipur tasty fish thali with quite a lot of items in small quantities...love it low spices and great taste a must visit place......do carry cash, as this is cash only restaurant, UPI/ online payment/ Card not accepted. A must visit for lunch or dinner.

Traditional food from Manipur, interesting to eat. Only non veg was fish. Fermented bamboo dish was served, not my favorite. Would avoid.
