The place is huge, looking just like an aircraft hanger. The buildings around here are generally impressive, in fact. Queues are long, but everything's efficient. Expect to get scalped for the drinks (we had to purchase compulsory drink coupons which gave us one discounted drink each). A beer (just Malts, nothing else - not even a hint of a craft beer) is ¥700. The food trucks ate quite good (the kebabs were popular).

Came here for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023.... Parking situation was the worst event parking I've ever experienced. Ruined the whole day for us. 2 hour wait only to hear parking is closed. Do yourself a favor and park at an Aeon if it's a big event. Often there is no charge and no one checks. The location itself is ok, large halls but only one main food court.

2023 Tokyo Game Show! Lots of vendors. Lots of people. Was a fun time seeing all the different games!

Place is very big, plenty of toilets. For a colossal venue as that I'd like to see more variety of food. Specially because the only one there is overpriced.

Makuhari Messe is a large scale convention center in Chiba, very close to Tokyo. The nearest station is Kaihim Makuhari while the other two close stations are Makuhari and Makuharihongo ( you can take the local bus) Makuhari Messe hosts several seminars, trade shows, events and so on. Some of the Tokyo2020 Olympic events are also happening there. This center designed by famous Japanese architect, Fumihiko Maki who received Pritzker Prize in 1993.

A great expo place. No air condition there, though and due to the humidity it’s unbearable at specific times of the year

A great exhibition site with spacious halls and well kept facilities. The place hosts many major commercial events such as food, engineering and services shows. Easy access through train. Connected with an outlet mall and a nice walk way with fountains and trees.

Went for comic con, the event space is quite spacious and the queues are well organised. The signages to the centre were placed in strategic locations and it’s easy to walk from the station.

Very large event hall. It's around 1.5-2 hours from Shinjuku, and costs ~¥1100 to get there depending on the train lines taken. Quite a few events are held here. Some notable ones are: Hololive Expo, Tokyo Game Show, and Niconico Chokaigi. There's two large halls (#1-8) with an outdoor hallway connecting them. There is another building (halls #9-11) that are separate, connected by a bridge. There are many coin lockers around the building. A restaurant is situated inside, but it is priced higher than usual. Washrooms are plenty by exits. The entrance is usually at the back of the hall, as it reserves the front entrance as the exit for the end of the day, allowing people to walk to the station easier after a long day of constant walking. There's usually enough English support from a few people working, who can help with directing where to go.

It was good for Ozzfest and Knottfest. It’s too hard to smuggle booze in so get drunk before you enter. The security are a bunch of a-holes.

A wonderful infrastructure, a very well planned conventional centre. Hosting big conferences and events, surrounded by no. of 5 star hotels.

This is a review of Comic Con Japan 2022. The comic event was mostly focused on USA related comics, but there were some locals anime, manga and lots of cosplays. 25% of the booths were for greeting/taking pictures with famous Hollywood actors, and there were on stage QA sessions with actors like James McAvoy (X-men). I really enjoyed the cosplay events (lots of marvel and star wars, and then some anime cosplays) and watching the different shops (like french anime, cosplay items, military goods, figures and toys). I wish there will be more variety and non-hollywood booths in future events.

It's a massive expo space for massive expos and it will be full of people. Easy to reach by car and train from Tokyo.

I recently attended an event at the Makuhari Messe convention center, and I was impressed by its modern facilities and versatile spaces. The convention center is located in Chiba, just outside of Tokyo, and is easily accessible by train or car. The convention center spans over several halls, and each hall is well-equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and exhibition booths. The halls are spacious, allowing for a comfortable and enjoyable experience for attendees. The center also has a fantastic range of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores, making it easy to find food and refreshments during events. I particularly enjoyed the convenience stores, which offered a wide variety of Japanese snacks and drinks. One of the standout features of the Makuhari Messe was its beautiful outdoor spaces, which are perfect for events such as outdoor concerts or festivals. The gardens and walkways around the convention center were well-maintained and offered a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the event halls. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Makuhari Messe and would highly recommend it to anyone attending events in Tokyo or Chiba. Its modern facilities, versatile spaces, and beautiful outdoor areas make it an excellent choice for any event.

I have been to 2 music festivals here: Punkspring and Knotfest. Punkspring audio balance was abysmal. Knotfest was most great. That's one example, but it is to say that the quality of the event you'll have is heavily dependent on who's organizing it.

I watched the BABYMETAL The Other One concert and this place is really organized for holding such events. Facilities are great and staff are friendly although I use translation apps.

Been here multiple time for exhibitions. The space is huge and good for holding exhibition. You can also hold exhibition outside. But the management is not up to the mark. It's difficult to find the location (of booths/ washrooms/ vending machines) inside the halls.

Went here for Comicon 2022. Not sure what else they use the facility for but it's big. I would guess they probably have sports of some kind and conferences for businesses. Great gathering place anyway.

Have been there twice in the past January for Tokyo Autosalon Customized car annual events. Car enthusiasts from all over the world come to Japan in order to see who JDM culture is developed and doing last days. Unfortunately the event is being cancelled this year due to COVID, but we hope it will be performing again in the future! The place where you can see JDM cars customized on a very unique way. Very recommended for the car lovers.
