Tsokolateria deserves a 10 out of 10 rating (although Google only allows me to rate a 5 out of 5). Every dish and beverage in their menu is a must try. Of course, tsokolateria being one the most sought artisinal cafe in the south, Tsokolateria de baterol should and must be in your first to try list. My personal recommendation though: visit tsokolateria for breakfast and / or brunch as you will get to enjoy the glorious view of Taal volcano during this time of day. Personal Struggle: Parking and Restroom. Cant recommend this place enough!

Good food, views are great. They have free wifi, which is good since network signal inside is weak. We ordered bulalo and chicken for lunch, which is enough for 3 of us.

Dishes are definitely a must try. Came here last November with my partner. The title of their menu interested me as it is named "Pamana". I thought it was some kind of spanish word but when I asked their staff it's because the recipes were all 'pamana' from the owner's ancestors. I am amazed of how they were able to preserve the recipes of their ancestores. I would definitely rate 9/10 for their dishes.

Food is definitely great! It is worth a try even though it's kind of priceyyy ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘The ambience is is really nice especially the outdoor area where you can dine with family or friends. Not sure for the following days due to the level 3 this pandemic they might change to take-out rather than dine in. First image is from today Jan.2, 2022 and the next 2 images is from Jan.5 2020.

We came for dessert after having breakfast at the Diners. We waited for an hour to be seated, we were the 7th in the list. It was raining so outside seating were unavailable which contributed to the long wait. Ordered Tsokolate ah and churro bites and they were awesome. The tsokolate ah tasted like my grandma's tsokolate except grandma's were made a little thicker. We will definitely be back to try the rest of their food. Parking is limited but you can park at the Ayala Mall in front then just cross the street to Tsokolateria.

Perfect place for chilling. I visited all by myself, so chose evening time on week day. Was cool in the veranda, and could enjoy the beautiful view.

Coffee is good! I recommend the Barako / chocolate drink. Kinda pricey here but worth it. The waffle is good for sharing. Its too much for one person. Very filling. Above all, ambience and wifi is good here too.

Found a new favorite place here in Tagaytayโค๏ธ The place is a bit small and gets easily crowded during peak times but the food they serve are worth the wait! Already heard good feedbacks for this restaurant but they exceeded our expectations. Their spicy tuyo pasta is a must try! I cannot stress enough how each delicacy is a treat for our taste buds๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ Definitely coming back again to try their other dishes๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

We tried tsoknut batirol, it is not too sweet which I like. Soufle though is not what. I expected. But among all the soufles, I prefer calamansi. My husband enjoyed the chocolate syrup. We didnโ€™t see the view because of typhoon paeng. The location is accessible. Their menu is a bit pricey but it is an experience.

This is one of the best restaurants that I have been to....worth every penny. The food was tasty/yummy and the service was fantastic! It wasn't pricey IMO as some reviewers mentioned...you won't get that cost compared to the US restaurants of similar type of foodie served, it will be pricier. So glad the wife took me there before I head back to Vegas.

This place is great for a one time visit or experience. Food is okay. Price is not that bad. For the staff, I had a mixed feeling with their service. One female server has a very poor customer service. She is irate the moment we stepped in. On the bright side, there is this male server, superb customer service and his colleague, Male Supervisor. They were the reason I gave them a 4 star review. I would recommend them if youโ€™ve never tried dishes that has chocolate in it of some sort. But, if youโ€™ve been here, you know the feeling that there are other restaurants in Tagaytay that can offer the same ambiance and service with a wider range of food choices.

The food here is to die for. It's so rich and flavourful. I will definitely be going back here again, and bringing the whole family. The only reason it loses a star is because there's almost no where to park. Thankfully they have an attendant who helps coordinate and arrange for cars in and out.

The food is really unique and great. I ordered a German meal, sauerkraut with sausages. I know it differently, but it was still delicious. From the terrace you have a fabulous view of Lake Taal. The staff is friendly and courteous. We enjoyed the time here.

The ambiance is excellent. We enjoyed the serene landscape, the soft cool breeze while sipping their special rich hot chocolate. The perfect place to unwind and at the same time literally get some fresh air. The food is presentable but tastes average.

Tsokolateria a go-to for hot chocolate cravings when in Tagaytay. We were able to nab a table with a view of taal volcano. Since we went here on the afternoon we ordered a few snacks. Chocolate eh - dark bitter sweet chocolate drink perfect for sharing Calamansi soufflรฉ- warm, tarty, and good paired with the chocolate Longanisa pasta- this was good and was served with bulalo soup and a side salad Overall, experience was very good. Ambiance, food, and service were excellent.

Unique menu - all with a chocolate or Filipino twist. Service is a bit slow during dinner rush and you may have to wait a few minutes to get in. A bit on the pricey side.

This is a great place to be in if you're looking for great tasting food. It is a bit expensive, but you pay for the flavor and the service. Their famous Tsokolate-ah tastes like champorado. The place has limited parking slots and is just beside the national road so it's kind of hard to park without causing some traffic. It is conveniently located in front of Ayala malls - Serin so you could go malling right after.

I visited this restaurant and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere with fresh air and a great view. The truffle pasta and souffle pancakes were just average, but the drinks, especially the tablea chocolates, were quite tasty. Unfortunately, the service fell short as there was a lengthy wait for both placing orders and being served. However, the waitstaff's attitude and personality were commendable.

A good experience. We visited the place out of curiosity and had a nice time... take note that my outing here is as a special date and we opted to try here for a dining experience, and the reason I say this because tsokolateria is on the upscale side of things, which is to say, may not be suited for low budget conscious people looking for fast and cheap grubs... Now, with that aside, I will commend their service and great ambience. The staff are really nice. Even the aesthetics gives you a special feel. The food are alright imo... it's not something that wowed me, but they taste good and authentic. Beef salpicao is a bit chewy though and the danggit - not crunchy. But I like the bangus and Sriracha rice. The cocoa is good and thick, so overall I would say it's a nice place for special occasions, and maybe one has just to set expectations when dining here... which I did, and it turned out to be a good experience. Welcome to Tagaytay ๐Ÿ˜„

Loved the view, the service, ambiance and of course the food. Ordered bulalo, frozen hot chocolate, adobo overload and lechon kawali. It was really good especially the presentation for frozen hot chocolate I loved it. Already want to go back here it's really worth it โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Enjoyed having a late lunch here today, itโ€™s a Thursday afternoon. Onti Lang tao. We ordered the black risotto, oh my gulay, tsokolate eh and the bibingka. I recommend the 3 except the bibingka, or maybe I just really want to taste bibingka. Akala bibingka siya but itโ€™s more like soufflรฉ with salted egg. so not really recommended ๐Ÿ˜’ the tsokolate is super bongga, I love it!!! My sister loved the risotto , itโ€™s not malansa but for me it needs a little salt. the staff is good, place is clean and service and food came out very quick. Babalik ako for sure!

The Black Risotto could have used a lot less ginger & a lot less chilies. The Aligue Risotto probably could have used some protein. But Tsokolate Eh was really really good! Food is very very good. Parking is horrible!

The food was delicious and good for sharing. The view of Taal from the balcony is beautiful! I would recommend reserving ahead of time, if not the wait can be a while but there are comfortable chairs and a store to browse in to pass the time.

  • 4/5 Mark Evan L. 1 year ago on Google
The place is good, the ambiance is great. The chocolate's consistency is a bit thin for my taste. It lacks richness. Though it taste good. The prices are also a bit expensive. I have yet to try their other dishes.

It's my first time to visit this place and this is a must!! Try the Batirol and have some waffles, that would be enough to make you go back. Haven't tried the full meals yet, but I would definitely go back to try it. The Batirol's was served hot and the waffles are crispy and delicious. We even had a good spot on the terrace. Giving a good view of Taal.

  • 4/5 Ids 1 year ago on Google
Was curious to try out the batirol and it did not dissapoint. It was very rich and flavorful. We also tried out dishes from both Pamana resto and Tsolateria, we had paella, sisig, salad, waffles, etc. Serving portions are generous. The restaurant haa a casual vibe and offers a nice view overlooking taal lake and volcano. The restaurant has a shop that sells dining collectibles. They have extra parking on adjacent lot.

The first time I tried this restaurant didn't disappoint me. Food as well as the service is good although a bit pricey. And what I like the most is the presentation of their dishes which is artistically done. Parking may be challenging on weekends though.

  • 3/5 Drei 1 year ago on Google
Not the absolute best batirol but the service is good here. Personally, I don't think every dish should've had some chocolate included in the food. It's a good concept but the actual taste of the dishes - - not so much (especially for the price point). Have dessert here instead. Good thing you can cross order to Pamana for your lunch.

  • 5/5 Mark Jordan C. 1 year ago on Google
We were lucky enough to enjoy this place all to ourselves for breakfast. I loved how they showcased local delicacies while maintaining creativity in their presentation. A bit lacking in breakfast options but everything else is great!

  • 5/5 Alex A. 2 years ago on Google
Service was awesome, friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. Staff even went the extra mile to light up their patio so we can take better photos. Food was great! Binakol and crispy pata were my favorite, and so was the ensalada with bagnet. Great view of the lake and Taal volcano. It was a shame we couldn't enjoy al fresco dining because it was raining.

  • 5/5 Francis Victor C. 1 year ago on Google
The setup is nice and rustic, and the veranda tables have a great view. The real star of the show is the food and drinks! The salpicao and tsokolate eh are great for sharing!

Had lunch with family at Pamana. Restaurant serves the usual filipino food. Some choices have their own twist on filipino dish classics. Place is very busy on weekends. Waiting area is not big enough during peak so best to wait in you car. We'll go back to try a few more specialties in their menu.

Tsokolateria has some unique items in their menu because some have chocolate as ingredient. Altho, i didnt try that on this visit. We ordered Adobong Pusit Calamares for starters, Pineapple Baby Back Ribs and Bistek Salmon. The adobong pusit was very nice! I prefer it with the vinegar dip. The baby back ribs is really tender. There was no need to use a knife to cut it. Taste great too! One have a choice on the size, small, medium or large. However, I personally did not enjoy the Bistek Salmon. I find the place small. Tables are still close to each other. Altho, they strictly implement the limited persons per table. Table that usually can seat 4 is now only for 2. Servers are attentive and fast on their feet. Parking and comfort room are very limited.

The view is just normal, the ambience is good, the food is also okay, and the idea of the chocolate infused in some meals are cool. The parking is so terrible, its so hard to get into, since they put barrier between the road to separate the from and to vehicles, its so hard to get inside the parking lot, since its facing the other side, also Its a bit hard to eat when sharing during covid time even when your family, lives in the same house, travel in the same car, they're afraid of getting photos taken

There wasnt much of a scenery in the area. It was also hard to park near the establishment. The hot choco was amazing though. True to its name. The calamansi soufflรฉ was disappointing. It was like eating mamon with calamansi syrup. The waffles were good. Overall, a bit expensive for the menu.

Food was yummy but very pricey for what they really are. The hot chocolate is a joke, it tasted like the tablea balls we buy in Batangas. Super expensive and only good for pictures. The place itself is just a fancy restaurant filled with people waiting to instagram their meals to people who don't really care. Go for the experience, expect the food to taste good as they should, given their prices. Oh kudos to the very accommodating staff added a star just for them.
