You go here for the view. Don't expect anything good for the food. Also be careful when ordering in measured grams for grilling since you might just pay double. You'd also expect fast service with the amount of people they have but the drinks arrived long after the food did. Textbook tourist trap really.

Very less staff for a very well known restaurant so over all the service was not as good as we are paying for an expensive foods. Over priced for everything as the serving was too little. However, the server was trying his best to accommodate all the guests. Imagine having 5 different group of people at a time with only 1-2 staff. The 2 staff argued a bit in front of us as they don't know what to do first. There's so many things need to fix in this restaurant. From cleanliness to service. The customer needs to have a decent dining experience with their price. Will come back? Maybe yes or maybe no, we'll definitely try the other restaurants around Tagaytay.

If you have other restaurant options better not to go here. Ordered Bulalo, small serving and not hot at all, and considering the price it is not worth it.

The moment we stepped out of the car and noticed the steep stairs. This was the first sign of trouble. Second thing I noticed, the floors were not clean, like it needs some mopping. Tables were sticky but the view was beautiful. The only saving grace of this place. Wait staff was not attentive. So we ordered kare kare (their specialty), sisig, and dynamite with rice. All the food was not served piping hot like it’s been left in the counter for some time. Taste wise it was a sloppy disappointment. With the very high price point I expected better serving sizes, better taste, and better service. I got none of that. Just a huge restaurant with many wait staff that are coupled together. Also, there was hair in the food. The worst tagaytay dining experience. Do not go here, you’re wasting your money.

Food - 7/10 Service - 4/10 Place - 5/10 Went here to celebrate mother’s day, as expected, a lot of people also went here so there was a queue of line outside. We wanted to try this branch so we waited for almost 2 hours before we can eat. The service is below expectation, there were less customers at that time when we were assisted but still requesting like extra plates, utensils or additional order took a lot of time before they can assist you. Food is good nothing special that you would like to go back to, same goes with the place you can get a better overlooking view on other restaurants nearby.

The food is not that great, for me it’s too expensive for it’s taste. The place needs a lot of cleaning, our table smelled like dirty rug that has not been washed for months (we had to wipe our table a couple of times to remove the smell), the floor has spilled water too when we arrive.

The food that we order were stuffed squid which I liked, Lumpia, pansit that we asked for them to removed any seafood ingredients since my son got allergy but the noodles still taste nice, thanks to the staff they are very accomodating. We also order kare-kare. The place is spacious but there are a lot of some sort of flies roaming around. Parking lot is spacious, and they also sell lots of goodies but toilets needs some fixing.

With loaded food serving and taste good. The place is almost perfect overlooking the Taal lake and volcano, they just need to fix what causes the foul odor (it stinks).

I recently visited Jaytee's with my family and had a mixed experience. While the view of Taal Volcano was breathtaking, I found the food to be overpriced for its mediocre taste and amount of serving. Additionally, the staff seemed unfriendly, often appearing annoyed when we asked them for assistance. The stunning scenery was the highlight, but improvements in both pricing and service would enhance the overall dining experience.

This place can be expensive, but the food is good. Can't argue with the view. At least they were open for dinner on December 31, 2023. Good place to get pasalubong.

  • 2/5 Se L. 3 months ago on Google • 32 reviews New
The restaurant behind the pasalubong store had a great view of Taal but the place smells bad. The floor was dirty. The faucet in the CR had no water and the toilet flush does not work. Took a long time to serve our food. We had to follow up several times even if there were only a few customers. Some personnel in the area were also just standing around and talking to each other so it took some time to catch their attention just to get the bill. We also had to ask for additional utensils as the ones initially provided were not enough. They told us upfront that we had to pay an additional service charge of 10% and 12% VAT. But I don't understand why they do not include VAT in the menu price in the first place like all other shops & restaurants. Food was okay. The bulalo was soft but they did not bother cutting up the cabbage. Not really worth the premium price point. (As a comparison, the bulalo at Bag of Beans was even cheaper with the same service charge, better service and better ambience.) If you're here for the bulalo, go somewhere else. If you're here for the view, go somewhere else.

Not the right choice if you want to eat Bulalo in Tagaytay. Other than having a view with Taal, the rest of our experience here were so so. Waited for 30 minutes or so to be seated to think there are vacant tables inside. We ordered Bulalo which was just normal, nothing special and the sisig was burnt right away. Kare Kare has other taste I don’t understand. The only acceptable dish was the Chicharong bulaklak. I won’t come back for sure. Good thing parking spaces are available and dogs are allowed as long as they are in diaper and do not hurt people.

The negative was, it took almost an hour for our food. The staffs did not even apologize for the delay. I was full with the lemonade and I already lost my appetite and was not able to finish our food. The positive side was their mariachi band that serenades customers while eating. Of course you give them a tip after hihi. It was just frustrating because I was a huge fan of Neri.

food is expensive, tastes just ok. i don't like the yangchow, but kare kare is just ok (no oxtail). we appreciate the free unlimited coffee. nice view, ample parking. but i still have issue with cleanliness. we've been eating here once in a while for years but there are still greasy floor stains and the CR still not well-cleaned.

I think this restaurant, this branch at least, is over rated. Our group of 12 went here for dinner after it was suggested by a friend. I found the place mediocre though. While there appeared many waiters/waitresses around, they were not as attentive as they should be. For one thing, I had to get my own glass of water from the pitcher across the floor. Food was "just ordinary" served ordinarily. Even the bulalo failed to entice. Well, food is cheap. The interiors need a face lift as well. There's just to many containers and other stuff piled around.

Good diner. This branch is larger and less crowded than the original branch nearby. Prices are expensive, but that's to be expected in Tagaytay. Their cheese buko pie is a must try.

Service is poor they ignore our request for additional plates. Food is bad especially the bulalo is very hard. Menu is very expensive for the quality of the ingredients, cabbage isn't even cut nicely they just put a 1/4 piece.

Wasn't sure what the hype is for this location but their Bulalo is not that great. Its super bland and was warm when it was served. Though I liked their sisig and garlic rice.

We went here on a weekend, ordered a promo set menu for 8 people. Delicious food. There was a band and you can requests songs and/or sing with them.

Too expensive food but small or little portions. Pork is tough to cut and not crunchy. Seems like they gave you the last night's food and heat them only. They are open for breakfast, but they don't have coffee. Their coffee shop opens late. Tables are sticky. People are leaving because no staff to take the orders. I will not recommend the food. You will have nice view of Taal but you can still see this from other open area. So if you wanted to have better experience of Tagaytay, don't eat here. Better to try other restaurants.

I initially hesitated to enter the restaurant, frightened that the food might be too pricy for our budget considering their location, which got a very nice overlooking of the Taal Lake, and their well maintained resto set-up. Left with no other choice since it was just around past 7 in the morning and most restaurants are still closed, we decided to have our breakfast there. Surprisingly, their food is so good, generously served, and equitably priced. Must try is their Tawsilog (Tawilis, Sinangag, and Itlog) with their deliciously blended vinegar.

Food is great, view of the Taal Volcano is great. The only problem is the place has a bad smell, I think it is from the grease trap. If you have a sensitive nose, I tell you, you will not and cannot finish your food because of the bad smell. 2 out of 5 star for me.

Ambiance is great. We dine in on weekend and there was a live band. Food is excellent. I guess the problem on long waiting time to serve the food is due to number of customers. There is coffee shop outside. Overall experience is very good! Highly recommended

Torn between three and four-stars. Food is okay, nothing wrong, but considering the price, I think there are better options (especially with their Kare-kare and Bulalo). Others are great though, and the view is nice.

Hmmmmm.....First time to eat in this resto and we've ordered just 1 Bulalo serving ,3 rice and a cucumber lime drink. My partner and I were in the mood just to try it out. It was very busy on a Monday night....the order took 40 mins to arrive..😔 Though the manager was very friendly, but "hangry" is real na eh. 😑 One staff even spilled bulalo soup on the floor, looked at it and didn't mind it at all. They're quite understaffed. The nice, cozy place makes up for it😊

The food's tastes ordinary, yet quite expensive. We also waited for almost an hour just to get served for the only two dishes we ordered. Staff was nice though.

The price was a bit expensive, but the serving was enormous. Good place, good food with good friends, exactly what we need to unwind from this pandemic. The servers were nice too!❤ If you can remove the plants hanging and blocking the view though, that'd be great for me.😊

Service is a bit slow. Would recommend the Bulalo and Chicken, not so much with the Pancit (too salty)

  • 3/5 Dominic T. 1 year ago on Google
The food was great and it was served hot especially their famous Bulalo since it was served with fire underneath to maintain its quality. But it took us almost an hour to wait for our food, maybe considering the number of customers that they need to attend during that peak hours of dining. During service, your requests such as condiments, additional orders, and other concerns took the staff almost 15minutes to attend to it. During our dining experience, there are also unnecessary things happening such as marketing of real estates for sale. Great food though but a little bit pricey for the individual orders. Awesome view or atmosphere. During our visit, it was a little bit windy though the summer heat was scorching outside. For the parking, there are numerous parkings in front of the cuisine but a little bit bumpy. Management may consider property improvements such as cementing it. Hoping for my next visit to them to improve their serving time, attending customer concerns, among other things. God bless!

Good: Servings of food are surprisingly large and sulit. The crispy tawilis is a must try. Bad: For the rate of the service charge, you’d wonder where it goes. Waiters are slow to come, eating area and comfort rooms were dirty.

  • 2/5 Ian L. 11 months ago on Google
Limited parking space, the service was quite fast but the food was expensive for its serving size. We paid P6,199 for 13pax amounting to P477 per head for just a small serving of rice, kare kare and bulalo when divided equally to us and yet it didn't satisfy our hunger for their serving size and for that pricey amount. After dividing the food, it was like 1 cup of rice and 2 small serving of viands per head just like the normal standard serving size of the karinderias you can find along the way. The taste was just okay , not bad nothing special. The place was clean, spacious and well ventilated. I also commend the cleanliness of their comfort room. Though the view of Taal Lake and volcano from their resto was scenic and picturesque.

Food: Nothing to be wow for. Usual taste for the food. Pricey, maybe because of the location too. Service: Don't go, if you're really hungry and can't wait.😅 Because there's a lot of people when we visited the place.

  • 4/5 Paul John L. 2 years ago on Google
Service took some good 30 minutes but understandable. The place is an open view to to the lake so you'd really feel the cold of the night while having dinner!
