Melt Bar and grill is pure Americana! Great food. Great prompt service. Great atmosphere. My server Tudor was spot on! Patient and helpful as we perused the gigantic menu. We finally decided to get the ' Spectacular Starter combo' with fried mozzarella wedges, mac and cheese bites, battered chicken tenders and fried pickles. Next up, the real kicker! The Cleveland cheese Steak was the bomb! Braised pulled beef brisket, garlic mushrooms, sautéed onions, rosemary onion aioli and provolone. Gotta try this!

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission Associate Board hosted a private Happy Hour at Melt's Independence location and everything from the space, to the service, to the food was excellent! Our server Tudor was spot on. He was very attentive and provided fast service for our large group. The private room at this location is spacious, with fun decor and convenient A/V options with multiple mounted 75-inch TVs and a wireless mic which was perfect for our brief presentation. We look forward to the opportunity to host another event with MELT in the future!

Went on an unusually SLAMMED Sunday and let me tell ya, this location ROCKS. Bella was an amazing bartender / server, the kitchen was cranking out orders AND their brunch menu is TO DIE FOR.

Really great atmosphere, bring your appetite!! I got the cowabunga sandwich and it was super filling. Huge taste of cream cheese and sauce with pizza rolls to top it off. Go with the home-made chips instead of the potatoes or broccoli (both tasted great) unless you are insanely hungry.

They took quite a while to get us seated and their service was pretty slow. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated and another 40 or more for our food to arrive. Food was delicious - everything we ordered was tasty and the portions were great. Our server was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. Overall we are satisfied customers - will definitely return again.

Now this is a fun place. The weirdest menu and decor but I loved it. Lots of local draft beers. I had a chicken salad it was great ! Recommend for families. I thinks kids would love it !

This is definitely going on the list of places to come back to when I'm in Cleveland! The decor was so neat, the food portions were HUGE, even for the half sandwich, and my pickle bloody mary was divine. Service was also good, we had no wait during brunch hours. My only regret was not trying the special feature sandwich with the kimchi.

Summary: An average all American-style restaurant/bar with a lot of variety but no outstanding dish. We ordered take out for 6+ people to eat comfortably on a Thursday Night. Since it was somewhat cold outside, by the time we got to our hotel 15 min later, the original textures may not have been there. Please take this review with that in mind. Cleveland Cheesesteak- the most popular amount our group. Had a good melted provolone with decent steak slices. 4/5 Summer Chicken- a fresher feeling sandwich. If the bread were different from the regular Texas style toast, this could have been one of their healthier dishes. Vinaigrette cuts the heaviness! 3/5 Backyard Pork BBQ- this was a very southern dish. One bite is good enough to satisfy though because it’s so heavy. The onion ring soaked up the bbq sauce from the pulled pork but it had a crunch still. 3/5 Korean War Pig- interesting combination. The spare ribs were not crazy fatty but since it was cold, it reminded me of a McRib. The slaw was mixed with a sweet onion pear relish but I really didn’t taste it. 3/5 Spectacular Starter Combo- this has a little bit of almost everything on the starters menu. Good value to try the bulk of you don’t know what to choose! Here’s how I rated each item: Fried Pickles- The fried pickles were awesome! Very thick batter around quartered pickles. 5/5 Fried Mozzarella Wedges- nice and chewy! Went great with the marinara sauce. 4/5 Mac n Cheese Bites- soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Good textures but not greatest fan of the flavour. 3/5 Chicken tenders- least favourite. The batter was not great for this one...too soft...you did get a lot of chicken though. 2/5 BBQ beef nachos- this was the last thing I tried and probably because it was cold I didn’t get the full effect of how it should have been. The pulled beef brisket was too saucy for me. I enjoyed the fresh jalapeños though! Chips were dry or soggy. 2/5 Regular Mac n Cheese- I thought it would have been an awesome Mac n cheese because the name of the restaurant suggests that it’s going to be awesome (melty). However, by the time I had it, the whole Mac n cheese solidified. Not saucy or melty. 2/5 Custom Mac N Cheese: garlic sauce, cornflake crumbs, Buffalo sauce- this was better than the regular Mac n Cheese because the Buffalo sauce drizzle was there! Didn’t taste much garlic in the sauce though! Maybe the Buffalo sauce overpowered it. I didn’t even feel the cornflake crumbs so it must have been very light! 3/5 Ragin’ Cajun- my favourite of the Mac n cheeses we tried. It was creamy and nice spices in it. The chicken added some good protein to it. 4/5 Fries- not my favourite fries. It was a thicker cut so it was t very crispy! 2/5 Coleslaw- I think the chef accidentally added too much black pepper because, man, this was all you could taste. Not great 2/5

Been here a couple times. I really like the atmosphere of this place. Has some cool decor and a decent amount of space. The waiter(s) were friendly and attentive. However, our waiter didn't have any type of uniform or name badge. So when he came over, we didn't immediately know he was our waiter. At first glance just thought he was some random dude at the place trying to be social lol. The food was good and we all seemed to enjoy what we got. My only gripe is the size of the sandwiches. I got a half sandwich and it was seriously tiny considering what they were charging. And the fries were just ok. Overall, cool place and good food. Just wish they gave you a little more bang for the buck.

Great restaurant with a fun and unique theme that is perfect for families/tourists/locals/date night/whatever. Huge menu with plenty of unique items to choose friend with some great names. The portions are huge, fries are fresh, and there's something for everyone. Well worth a drive just to check it out!

What an amazing spot!!! I visited twice in 3 days! The bartenders are great. We ordered the Ckn bacon ranch mac, tofu wings, and French Onion Soup. Both days' service was great. Fri 4-22, they were busy, yet the food was HOT and fresh. Yesterday 4-24 they were not busy & all the food except the soups were luke warm. We ate and were happy, but there was clearly a difference in food temperature. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in food temp, but the mac n cheese & tofu were much tastier HOT n FRESH. Sunday, the food seemed to be pre-made and warmed under a heat lamp. Friday, everything was fresh! I will visit again, but I'll make sure to ask for fresh made food. Also, no Coors light since Friday!

Their food is really great for the price! I do recommend trying it out. Although the strawberry lemonade wasn't our favorite, but I do like my lemonade on the sweeter side.

This was my 1st time visiting a Melt, and it did not disappoint! I was definitely not expecting the cool, unique decor! so much to look at and i LOVED the glass star lights. The Blueberry cocktail was so good, and the Chicken&waffles was delicious!! I wish i would have read the cheese type and switched, but that's on me. it was easy to peel off and continue eating.

We aren't from the area but we wanted to try something that we couldn't find at home. It was a little after 2pm on a monday. We chose to have lunch at Melt Bar and Grilled. There were 3 adults in our party. We went in extremely optimistic. Everything on the menu looked/sounded wonderful. The decor was busy, lots of light up holiday decorations/neat Welcome to Cleveland sign. It's was great for what we were wanting to experience. If you are easily overwhelmed it might be a lot to take in. Then it came time to order (we had never been there) and the waitress wanted no part in explaining how anything worked. For example it was a Monday and they had a "build your own Mac n cheese for $6" but when we asked does that include just picking your noodles and cheese or does that include adding toppings also she just said "whatever the menu says." We all decided to just go with a meal from the main menu. We ordered our sandwiches in half orders. One of us asked to exhange/upgrade the slaw to Mac n cheese. And another wanted to exchange/ upgrade fries to Mac n cheese. We got our food, and it looked great, but didnt taste very good. Bottom piece of bread on the cleveland chessesteak sandwich was soggy, it was supposed to be brisket, but it tasted like can meat. The fries were cold and hard. The Mac n cheese was thick and cold. Considering we came around 2pm im assuming we got what was left over from the "lunch craze" at 12pm. A member of our party ordered the eerie monster (some type of fish, i believe cod) and they really enjoyed it! They did forgot to give us the tarter sauce for it until we were almost done with our meal, but that was fine. One of us had finished our meal and the waitress must have noticed. She rushed by to take EVERYONES plates. When we told her the other two aren't finished she huffed and walked away. When the second person finished she immediately came over again and tried grabbing the remaining two meals, again we told her the last wasn't finished and requested a box for the rest of theirs. She brought the box and waited at the table for the food to be transferred and immediately took the plate. We then had to sit and wait nearly 15minutes for the bill to be brought. The bill read no slaw on one of the sandwhiches which was what we wanted but then had added a $6 side of Mac n cheese (the waitress originally said we could exchange and upgrade) the other side of Mac n cheese was also $6 instead of an exchange/ upgrade (considering you could have built your own for $6 on Mondays we were disappointed in our servers lack of explaination.) It was $80.16 for 3 half sandwiches 3 drinks 2 sides of Mac n cheese and 1 side of fries. We are happy to have tried a place we aren't able to have back home, but beyond disappointed in the service and quality of food. Would not recommend going there if you aren't from around the area.

I thought the food and service here were excellent. The menu is a bit pricey, but rightfully so considering the portion size given. I ordered the crispy chicken salad and it was large enough to feed 2-3 people. The peanut dressing was to die for and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the gyro and the only thing he was disappointed about is that it wasn’t served on traditional gyro bread; it was a sandwich on thick toast - anyhow, it looked tasty. The bbq beef nachos were wonderful also. We enjoyed it. The menu is very unique - so many choices!

My elderly mother rarely uses her credit card. When she did use it at Melt, almost $1,000 dollars in unauthorized charges the next day. A real shame considering Matt Fish is such a cool dude and I liked throwing business his way.

Wonderful experience! Food was excellent, huge portions. The service was great too. Our family of four decided on brunch. In addition to the chicken sandwich and carmel banana French toast, other items ordered were the cheeseburger, biscuits and gravy, eggs and hashbrowns, fried mozzarella triangles, and hangover fries. Everything was exceptional! I definitely recommend!

Delivery was great thru door dash. Monte Cristo was delicious. The desert was very good as well, you just have to put it together yourself if you get the Peach Bread Pudding. Not sure if I assembled it correctly, but was still very good. Can't wait to try more sandwiches and maybe other deserts.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. The wait to be seated was about five minutes, so not bad at all. We waited for about 20 minutes from when we sat down until a waiter came to get our drinks. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding of who our waiter was since we were in the high top area, but it seemed like a long wait just to have our waiter come over for the first time. Food was pretty good and large portions! My fiance and I ordered the Monte Cristo and the Wet Hot Buffalo Chicken. The sandwiches were good, and pretty large portions. The Spectacular Starter Combo was a little over fried. I'm used to fried pickles being fried pickle chips and these were whole spears, deep fried, so be aware, it's a whole pickle spear, deep fried, so they were very hot and took a while to cool down. The prices are a little high, but the sandwiches are pretty big, so just expect around 25-30 dollars a person.

AMAZING!! the vegan options were to die for. My family and I enjoyed the meal very much but it seemed like the sizes have gotten smaller. anyways, i got the vegan bacon egg and cheese sandwich with a side of the vegan mac and it was phenomenal. will definitely come back here again.

Amazing selection on the main menu but for those who follow vegetarian/vegan options and lighter eaters there are some nice options. Had the Full side Watermelon salad and split the Hangover Fries. This was a great choice as a light eater left feeling comfortably full. The individual I split the fries with loved the June collaborative sandwich.

Years ago I lived in Lakewood. The first Melt there was delicious. This was pretty bad. The fries. I’m not sure if they make them somewhere else now or store them to long but they were so dry. The burger was way over cooked. It’s just not the same.

  • 5/5 Shane C. 3 years ago on Google
Here for lunch. Ordered the Tomato soup. It was a thicker, hearty soup and tasted great. For the main course, I ordered the Buffalo Mac and Cheese. More than enough for lunch. A generous amount of meat included in the dish. A great choice in my opinion for any meal of the day. The tables were well spaced for covid friendly eat in. Staff were following protocols and friendly.

Food was not the best. Mac and cheese was dry. Ordered chicken straps and taste, unfortunately, like cardboard. No seasoning. Fries were amazing though. Disappointed as for 3 meals and 2 beers was 93 bucks and not to be satisfied. Our server however was amazing! Very out going. On top of things, and always checking in on us.

  • 5/5 Sam F. 3 years ago on Google
The bartender was a kind young veteran. Very good. Make me drinks that were stiff and delicious. I loved it. I ordered fried twinkies, the peanut butter and banana sandwich, fries, Mac n cheese, and bread pudding. :) everything was wonderful. I love coming to melt when I come home from deployments.

I was traveling in Cleveland for work, and the girl working the front desk at my hotel recommended Melt. The food was good, but a little heavy but the atmosphere was lots of fun. Very unique decor. I had the Monte Cristo, but if I visited again, I would try something different.

  • 3/5 Robert F. 3 years ago on Google
It was just okay. I was so looking forward to it after learning about the spot from a colleague. I think that if our food came out hot it would have been a game changer. The chicken and waffles my brother in law ordered...apparently the remaining 3 of us suffered. His came out piping hot while although ours looked good, it left something to be desired by say taste buds. I feel like I wasted a cheat meal.

I haven't been to this location in a while. Previously my sandwich was dry, but I got the August special that involved pulled pork and smoked gouda, and it was delicious and the opposite of dry. The sandwiches are kind of pricey though. I got chips with my sandwich, and the french onion dip was REALLY good.

  • 5/5 Chris C. 3 years ago on Google
Sandwich was tasty, nice portion. Pickup was nicely packaged but make sure you have plenty of napkins. We had a really big order and everything was well labeled and organized. The worst part was that there were so many good sounding options it was hard to decide what to order.

After being on the road for 5 hours we decided to order food from Melt. We placed our order about 35 minutes in advance and the said it would take 30-40 minutes to complete. In our minds this was perfect, we could pull off grab our food and go. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes in the parking lot for our food to be ready. Once we got our food we were let down. The bread on one of our sandwiches was soggy like it sat for awhile and the chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil along with the fries. Not to mention $3:50 for a 12oz drink that was 85% ice. I wanted to like this place, but I don’t think I’ll be stopping back.

This is must try if you are in the area. The food is delicious and the portions were huge. You could share any meal with a partner or friend. Our server Morgan was great! The menu was overwhelming! I felt like I was trying to read an encyclopedia. You should view the menu online, before going into the restaurant. You might feel the pressure of trying to order without really knowing what you want.
