I’m
writing
a
review
as
someone
who
has
traveled
to
various
Caribbean
/
Mexican
tourist
destination
and
as
a
20
-
something
who
prefers
stills
relaxing
but
also
adventurous
vacation
lifestyle.
Hotel
/
property:
In
comparison
to
Riu/Balera/Grand
Solmar,
and
the
other
easily
400
+
room
resorts
that
I’ve
stayed
in
the
past,
this
by
far
a
more
intimate
and
smaller
resort,
easily
walkable.
Legit
took
30
seconds
to
walk
from
our
room
to
the
pool,
or
ocean,
or
the
dining
area
which
was
enjoyable.
The
grounds
themselves
could
use
a
bit
of
landscaping
and
overall
maintenance
for
visual
appeal
but
the
ocean
is
what
we
came
to
see
and
it’s
fairly
well
maintained.
Seaweed
is
collected
once
in
morning
so
It
can
accumulate
by
the
after
noon
time
but
it’s
enough
to
just
step
over
and
avoid.
All
rooms
realistically
have
an
ocean
view
and
if
you
are
on
the
first
floor
can
walk
out
from
your
patio
to
the
sand
or
swing
on
your
hammock.
I’d
only
recommend
upgrading
the
shower
heads,
they
are
a
bit
dated
and
a
quick
and
easy
fix
to
just
increase
the
value
of
the
room.
Food/drink:
HOLY
HECK
MY
FAVORITE
PART
BY
FAR.
All
those
big
resorts
and
buffet
style
options
cannot
compare.
Every
meal
eaten
here
was
flavorful,
filling
and
delightful
and
for
all
things
good
in
life
try
to
creole
nachos.
I
wanted
to
order
it
for
breakfast
the
day
I
left
just
to
have
it
one
more
time.
Truly
everything
me
and
my
boyfriend
had
was
deliciously.
Major
props
to
the
cooks!
The
drink
menu
provided
mainly
rum/vodka
based
drinks
which
is
included
in
the
inclusive
package,
if
you
prefer
whisky/wine/tequila
those
aren’t
included
and
would
have
to
pay
additional
for
those
drinks
so
just
keep
that
in
mind.
Service/staff:
Both
office
staff
and
bartenders/
waiters
were
very
courteous,
prompt,
and
hard
workers.
Shout
out
to
Erica,
Kristina,
Santiago,
Emerie*
&
Nelsie*
(*
spell
check)
for
always
proving
great
service
and
hospitality
during
our
stay.
Kristina
makes
new
drink
specials
daily
and
she
knew
I
was
a
girl
who
loved
spicy
drinks
with
Tajin
and
she
would
hook
it
up!
They
also
book
the
jumper
plane
from
Belize
City
to
Placencia
for
you!
Amenities:
infinity
pool
is
nice,
I
was
mainly
at
the
beach
so
if
you
enjoy
a
pool
vibe
it’ll
work
great.
It
gets
to
about
6
feet
deep.
They
had
corn
hole
on
site
but
could
update
the
board
/
bags
and
possibly
provide
a
few
more
beach
games
for
families/couple.
They
offered
bikes
to
rent
which
was
a
great
way
to
get
active
for
a
few
and
also
just
explore
the
surrounding
areas
off
the
resort.
You
can
rent
a
golf
cart
for
a
few
hours
or
the
day
which
I
recommend
if
you
plan
to
go
to
the
“downtown”
or
main
town
area
of
the
Placencia,
it’s
about
an
hour
bike
ride
round
trip
for
those
who
are
at
an
average
athleticism.
They
also
have
an
8-9
hold
mini
golf
that
you
can
play
but
again
the
ground
work
/
landscaping
in
the
area
could
use
some
work
here.
There
weren’t
any
beach
cabanas
but
enough
beach
chairs
for
anyone
who
really
wanted
one.
It
being
a
smaller
resort
if
you
are
looking
for
entertainment
groups,
performances,
activities
being
led
from
the
hotel,
this
is
not
the
place.
It’s
definitely
a
more
laid
back,
chill
vibe
vs
other
Caribbean
destinations.
Bring
some
games
(I
brought
card
games)
to
pass
time
and
play
while
outside.
Tours:
we
did
the
zip
lining
and
waterfall
tour
and
had
a
great
time!
Zip
lining
over
the
river
and
mountain
area
was
a
beautiful
site.
Waterfall
was
pretty
water
was
just
very
cold.
We
jumped
in
and
swam
our
butts
back
immediately
but
still
enjoyed
the
excursion
nonetheless.
Our
driving
answered
any
questions
we
asked
on
the
way
there
about
climate/agriculture/daily
lifestyle/etc.
they
do
typically
only
offer
certain
tours
on
certain
days
so
contact
them
directly
on
which
days
they
offer
each
tour
based
on
your
visit.
Overall,
I
would
happily
refer
any
one
interested
in
visiting
Belize
to
visit
Laru
Beya!
Thanks
for
a
great
trip!
