We got lucky and had Mr. Belize better known as Gilbert as our tour guide and driver. "Mr. Gillie' sits on multiple tourism boards and gave us so much useful information. Patient and informative, sort of like having a teacher as your guide. Really cool dude. I think I learned just as much from Gilbert's stories as I did the tours. Saw people without a guide and felt a little sorry for them. Barefoot Services also has Meg working the phones and arranging everything. I am glad we used their service after researching options for weeks. Fairly priced and full of good down to earth people. Highly recommend.

We used barefoot for a last minute Xunantunich Mayan Ruins tour combined with cave tubing. They were so accommodating! Wilder was our guide and he was AMAZING! We had the best time. They also were better priced than Captain Jaks by quite a bit. Excellent communication, fairly priced, and wonderful guide. Highly recommend.

We used barefoot for a tour of the jaguar preserve. We did the river float first and then hiked to a waterfall. Our guide was Ian and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about plant and animal life in the area. The river was basically deserted which was amazing given that it was high tourist season. After the hike we had a picnic lunch prepared by barefoot that my teenage son declared better than any resort dinner we had all week. Highly recommend. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because we were wet, including our hiking shoes, for the hike and there was no reason for that. Where you come out of the river is only a 5 minute walk to the van. The trip should be designed to go back and change in-between the two activities.

Absolutely THE BEST shuttle service available in the Stann Creek area. Megs is very quick to respond to any needs or questions you may have and they are all extremely friendly and helpful. We used Barefoot to shuttle us from BZE to Placencia, then to Hopkins, and all around. They were there when they said they would be there and we felt completely taken care of and safe.

We recently visited Belize and booked 3 excursions with Barefoot! They did not disappoint. Megs was such a help answering questions and booking the tours before our arrival Despite it being the rainy season, all our tours were perfect! We were the only ones on the tours all three days. All the guides were so knowledgeable, friendly, and the absolute best! Gilly went to the Maya Ruins with us and taught us so much more than just the ruins. We learned about nature, the culture, and he even pulled over to let us see the sleeping giant and toucans! David took us to a horse farm and then for a waterfall swim. He showed us rock sliding and told us all about the culture and maya food. We continued to bump into him all week in the village and had a great time seeing a familiar face. Thank you for making our honeymoon one of the most unforgettable trips ever! We’ll be back one day and will book more tours with you!

We had a great excursion with Jimmie. He arrived 15 minutes early and made us feel very comfortable. We visited the Jaguar Nature Preserve and hiked to one of the falls. We ate a delicious lunch that he prepared for us. The weather didn’t cooperate or we could have had a longer day. He dropped us off at our door. He’s a great guide!

I cannot express how much we appreciated Ian as our guide. The man has a wealth of knowledge that beyond impressed me. We will never forget the day me and my spouse spent with him. Horse back riding. Lunch. Chocolate shop stop and then zip lining. That man inspired me to explore and do more and LEARN more. :)

What an amazing experience we had with this company. Everyone who works there is top notch! Our first driver Jimmy is so professional, friendly and a wealth of information. Awesome tour guide too, the best! Dealing with Meg in the office and Ian as a driver was also a professional and courteous experience. They all enhanced our trip to Belize. I highly recommend this service from shuttle to tours. Keep up the great work and hope to see you on my next trip.

My wife and I booked a tour of Xunantunich and swimming in one of the inland blue holes with Barefoot Services. Our guide Ian was top notch and extremely knowledgeable! I don’t think you’ll find anymore more well versed about the history and culture of the area, or someone who clearly loves what they do so much! In addition to the tour lunch was provided at a local restaurant and we got to taste the local cuisine. Prices were very reasonable, travel van was excellent with cold AC haha, and they pick you right up from your resort. From the sounds of it they have a ton of choices of tours and adventures no matter what you’re into. Check them out!

Hands down the best customer service! We have used them for rentals and tours several times over the past 5 years. Ian and his guide crew are so knowledgeable and make every tour an amazing memory. Megs has helped us book some pretty amazing accommodations and is always there to solve any problem. You won't be disappointed with Barefoot Services!

I'm not a big reviewer, but sometimes the experience and service are too good to go unmentioned. We stayed in Placencia last week and used Barefoot to rent a golf cart and for two excursions (water fall swim and river tubing). Megs was very helpful with the reservations by both email and phone, as we wanted to take excursions at different times than those offered by our hotel. It's a simple thing, but the golf cart was delivered at the appointed time by Ian. We saw Ian again for the water fall swim excursion. He made the 40 minute drive to the waterfall comfortable, enjoyable and educational. We learned so much about Belize's history and culture. Then, at the waterfall, he guided us through the pools and falls and made an amazing fruit buffet. We were happy to see that it was again Ian guiding us to the river tubing excursion. We learned more about Belize's conservation and bio-diversity on the drive. Ian is the consummate tour guide. Our entire experience with Barefoot Services was top-flight. Ian began to tell us more about other services they provide (for people interested in owning property or discovering more of Belize) and I have every reason to believe that Barefoot would be a great choice for all things Belize.

Vinnie was a fantastic guide! Our family of 4 had him all to ourselves for the entire day for a Xunantunich tour as well as some cave tubing. He has a very humble way of speaking, but is extremely knowledgable and a great talker. He's very passionate about his culture, and it shows. He was so flexible and accommodating, that it took a little while for us to adjust from our thinking from other typical tour experiences. He went above and beyond in so many ways. I'd list them all, but it'd be a long list and I wouldn't want impose all these extras on him for his future tour groups. Vinnie mentioned that Barefoot typically organizes these trips with a single family (or friend group) having a guide all to themselves. At first it seemed odd that they could/would do that for the price (including meals), but the benefits quickly became evident. Having the big, spacious, air conditioned van all to ourselves for a home base while we explored the country, and having the flexibly to stop whenever and where ever, not having to compromise our schedule with another family or couple...it was great. Also, Vinnie was a great driver. We made our way from Placencia to nearly the Guatemala border, and back, extremely efficiently, despite construction and some poor quality roads, and we felt completely safe the entire time.

My wife and I looked into local excursions to fill in a break day at our resort. We contacted Barefoot the day before and they were able to book a tour of the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve. Jan, our guide, drove us the whole time. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the region. Jan also treated us to a small roadside restaurant which served an amazing lunch. All-in-all, it was a fantastic day. We had fun, saw beautiful plants and animals, and learned a lot about the local plants an wildlife. We would definitely recommend using them for tours in Belize.

I booked last minute snd they were very accommodating. Ian was the best! He knows Belize inside and out. The cave tubing was nice. Lunch was provided which was delicious. Will definitely use them again on my next visit.

Ian was an excellent guide and driver. He was knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and all around a great resource about Belize. We learned so much from just a few hours with him on the way from BZE to Placencia.

Our tour of the Xunantunich historical site was excellent. Our guide Mr Gilbert was both knowledgeable, engaging and a very good driver. My communication with the people who do the scheduling was without problems they responded quickly to my concerns. I would contact them again when traveling to Placencia Belize aging.

Our family of four (2 teenage boys) had a fantastic visit to Belize. We used Barefoot Services for our transportation from the airport to Placencia and back to the airport at the end of our trip. Our drivers were on time, super friendly, and very accommodating, stopping along the way for rests and stocking up food at a grocery store for our condo stay. We also booked day trips to Monkey River and a zip lining / river raft excursion through Barefoot. The day trip transportation was equally reliable, and the guides were great. Monkey River was full of amazing scenery, with crocodile, manatee and howler monkey sightings, and a tasty local lunch. The zip lining/rafting trip was an adrenaline charge - our boys LOVED it and my wife quickly got past her fear of stepping off those zip line platforms to zoom across the jungle treetops. I have to give HUGE credit to Megs at Barefoot, who was really supportive and helpful in booking our transportation and day trips. Our day trips were planned just a day in advance, but Megs was quick to respond and got our trips set up for us with no problems. I would be really happy to use Barefoot Services next time we visit Belize!

Barefoot was amazing! We went to Belize during the wet season so there were many places that were flooded but they reached out to us with wonderful options. Our guide to the ruins/ cave exploration and to the spice farm/ waterfall was Jimmy and we cannot say enough good things. He not only made sure we were safe and well fed but made sure we had the once in a life time experience. When we come back to Belize again we will be reaching out to Barefoot Services and asking for Jimmy!!

I recently experienced a barefoot tour of historical sites and Mayan ruins and I must say it was an incredible experience. The tour was well-organized and Ian our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the whole country and history and culture of the Mayan people. One of the highlights of the tour was visiting the ancient Mayan ruins of Xunantunich. The site was breathtaking and Ian provided a wealth of information about the Mayan civilization that once thrived there. We were able to climb to the top of the tallest temple and take in the stunning views of the surrounding jungle. Another highlight of the tour was visiting the Cahal Pech Mayan site. It was fascinating to learn about the daily life of the Mayan people and their advanced knowledge of astronomy and mathematics. The site was also very well-preserved, which made it easy to imagine what life was like for the ancient Mayans. I really appreciated the time of the tour, which allowed us to connect more closely with nature and the ancient sites we were visiting. Overall, I highly recommend this barefoot tour. It was definitely a unique and unforgettable way to experience the rich history and culture of this beautiful country.
