Very basic quality of food. You can get better options in the same price range in the city.

First of all the prices of every dishes are too high according to its quality, the cook is not professionally trained at all, we ordered bamboo shoot smoke pork dry fry for the snacks in which smoke pork is done by burning it on the pan and those are fresh pork with no fat at all moreover there were no bamboo shoot at all. Please don't take any drink in this place because it will be disastrous and we have not ordered one dish pork dish which is brought to our table without asking us and we had to pay extra for that dish. Overall no quality, no ambience, no taste, nothing.

Banbati ( the flavours of northeast) is a nice place to have food from the assamese dishes. Best thing about this place is their menu which contains a good variety of food from NE region. The way they serve food is very good . bit though situated on main road a bit difficult to find out for first timers. Service is just wonderful. must visit if someone have craving for assamese food and want to try it.. you can definitely go for it..

This was our first trip to North East India and were keen to try authentic Assamese food. Banbati was very close to our hotel so decided to try it. The entrance to the restaurant wasn't very visible, so had to ask a few people. It's on the second floor of what looks like an office/shops complex. As you enter the restaurant you will find that the vibe and ambiance is on point! Decorated with bamboo and has a very traditional feel to it. The owner is very helpful and explained to uss the different delicacies they have on offer. I tried their speciality bamboo grilled chicken which was delicious, however, it had too many bones. We also had the mixed veg sabji which was out of the world delicious! They also gave us some daal on the house. I would definitely come back again to try their thali as it looked amazing when the guests next to us ordered it. Overall great food!

Visited this restaurant today. Lip smacking traditional assamese foods. We had chef recommended Assamese pork thali and pork with bamboo shoot. Fully recommend this place for anyone visiting guwahati
